 Wille did very well for himself. He had a lot of power and pull in California. All of Kamala's success in her early years was a direct result of Willie getting it for her. She deserved non of it and was unqualified for all of it. She slept her way to the top with a man that was married.

You are 100% wrong. She actually owes very little to Willie Brown's influence. That is a fact. She had already made a name for herself as a young rising star in Alameda County. Willie helped her get on a few state committees, that helped her get her name out there a bit more. The rest was all her. And her position as SF DA, CA AG, and in the senate were all elected positions. Willie was nothing more than a local celebrity by this point. A gimmick. A character. Incredibly loved, yes, but not some political power broker. I'm a Bay Area native. I was around for all of this.

And as far as what small influence Willie Brown did have on Kamala Harris' career, well, that's just how the world works. Politics, business, it is all full of nepotism and cronyism. Willie Brown didn't get into law school for her. He didn't pass the bar for her. He didn't get her hired to her first legal jobs. He didn't get her hired at the SF DA's office. When she challenged the incumbant DA, he didn't het her elected. I don't even remember her campaigning for her. Again, that, along with state AG, and Senator, are all elected positions.

The more I read into her the more I think the DNC may dump her at the convention, you know if they debate before the convention, she will meet the same fate as ole Joe but the elites will keep her away from any questions for as long as possible.  It's the same playbook they had for Joe, keep him in the basement and away from as many questions as possible.

But given Brown had been separated from his wife for more than a decade,

I never said Trump was competent, but for Harris's level of status now and for a future 4 years running the country into the ground YES she is incompetent.  She might have been a good DA and AG of the bluest state in the union, but she never upped her game which is why there is all this DEI talk about her IMO.  She only got the delegates because the party has no other option now.  If Harris was the convicted felon your party would still put her on the ticket, and the party would vote for her in this situation.  Six months ago if Joe threw in the towel, this woman would not be on the ticket other than maybe another VP but I highly doubt it
