Remember Brzezinski was a top candidate to become an official advisor to President Obama,till charges of his anti-Israel attitude would damage Obama at the polls.
He was the National Security Advisor to one of the weakest President of all time.. who planned Operation Eagle Claw which resulted in the failed attempt to free the US hostages in Iran...
No one should take his comments seriously....but since we are talking hypothetically.........I would have to say If Israel try's to fly over Iraq to bomb Iran ...we should shoot our ally's planes down for fear that Iran will not talk to us if we don't . (!)

Jpero, WSC is not 100% accurate .... To say "the enemy seals off roads and areas of access and alienates themselves in a way that is offensive?" is not completely accurate ...
There is no requirement of international law that a state be required to admit anyone. Gaza is no longer the territory of Israel. . . Israel has a right to blockade and close it's borders to those that attack it.
..and what I find offensive is a group who use young boys and women as suicide bombers to blow-up civlians and innocent people ...

Israel has expanded its territory a great deal since it was given the land. As WSC said the people who OWNED the land were never asked about giving it to Israel.
Did the Native Americans fight Americans back in the day when we were stealing their land or am I misremembering that also?

To those in the region, the roads which are closed and areas blocked off, they dont consider that to be LEGAL or MORAL since they had no say in the subject.
So it is even WORSE than I am saying, and much worse than what you can imagine.
Also, I notice your Carter slams and I think you have it completely wrong, BUSH has Carter lapped 10 times, Reagan was much much worse, not even close if you ask me, but especially to the Middle East.

Not slams, just one slam.... Ziggy was the one who planned Operation Eagle Claw. But Obama's actions so far in the terms of foreign policy and leadership does seem to rival fmr.Pres.Carter's.
But we are drifting off topic....I will agree with you we should make it very clear to Israel, that any attempt to bomb Iran will not be tolerated..and met with severe consequences ...

ok, I read this piece from 4 yrs ago and it confirms exactly what I have said. 4 yrs later they are using the same verbal threats they used then. If Israel attacks, Iran will go from a regime on the verge of change to a solidified regime united to "defend" itself against the attacking evils.

There is wide disagreement among intelligence officials on just how soon Iran can put a Nuclear Warhead on a Missile, but Israel will not wait to find out when that day is.
This didn't get a lot of publicity a couple of years ago, but again, Israel will not wait if it feels itself threatened.

Guess the person don't care as there's something about a collective suicide in Judaism (was told this by an Israeli professor who talked about previous wars where Israel was on the brink of destruction).
