so 2 years ago, i play one or 2 plays a week with a local , $50 plays.
discovered wagerline, clicking buttons, see the expert picks (was doing college NCAAF).
Looked at day before "expert picks" for a bunch of saturday games AND WHAM , I SEE experts were like 31-2 !!!!!!!!!! I thought I found the holy grail. Went back to the week before. 32-2 or something. week before 34-3 whatever. I'm sweating, excited, I'm gonna be rich!!! Got a friend to loan me $1500 he went in $1500 , online account, next week we are ready playing all $50 plays an few 4 team parlays. We were gonna be rolling in dough.
The day progresses.mmmmmmmmmm. W, W , L, L, L , W, L etc...
HEY!!! WTF! that's not 33-2 , more like 15-20!!
I COULDN't figure out what the f*ck happened!
next day looked up the games.
Noticed that a game which was 9-1 on one side "experts" was now 3-7 or something!!!!!!!
finally figured out wagerline keeps the records of the top 10 experts for each game based on AFTER THE GAMES OUTCOME!!!! ie, the 9 who picked the game one way that I was looking back on WAS NOT THE GUYS WHO PICKED THE GAME BEFORE THE GAME BUT THE 9 GUYS WHO MOVED INTO THE TOP 10 after the game!!
Funny now, but was heartbroken then
AND we lost like $500 bucks!
