All I can say for now is that this Game 2 will be a high scoring affair. Too many damn turnovers from both teams; too many fouls to ever really get in the zone or create momentum and the Lakers took too long to get hot in the first half.
Melo has played outstanding thus far, and J.R. Smith will definitely get his shot going sooner than Game 1 and contribute to the points via 3 pointers.
Both of these teams barely use up the shot clock, and like to out-do one another as far as instant offense. I'm not taking the spread on this one, but if I had to make a prediction it would be:
LAL 114 DEN 108 -- Let's Gamble.

Don't be surprised to see Denver to cover again or possibly win (just an early thought), but ill know exactly what I'm picking once the line comes out.....it will click in my head like a click of the fingers !

There's also some kind of crazy game 2 NBA series trend that supports your over here. I don't have the specifics in front of me but another covers member (Ella I think) posted it during the Orlando/Boston series. The over in Game 2's has a tendency to hit at a surprisingly high rate.
You'd think coaching adjustments between games would help defensively but it seems the opposite is true. Maybe players get more comfortable in a building with a game under their belts.

Well, I'm not too familiar with that trend, but if it has history behind it, I'm all for it. I love that the O/U dropped a couple digits from Game 1 as well.

haha thanks. If certain bets were "Guaranteed" we wouldn't be gambling here. One guaranteed bet for me, and I'd be one happy retired man. Just tell me where to sign up. haha

i'm thinking UNDER is the way to go. I cant see BOTH Kobe and Melo going off again in game 2 (heck, they both went off for 38+ game 1 and it was still under 210)
I can see Kobe going off again, LA wont want another close game, so they might be quick off the gates.

Melo should still get 30 Kobe'll get his. I think the supporting casts will do well also so I like the over and LA to cover. I think LA'll shoot over 41% this game and Den won't light it up again. Plus I posted on the psche of Denver too. I think they're a little damaged now. We'll see.

Nuggets played problly as best as they can play and no1 showed up besides Kobe for the lakers and yet the lakers still won i think that proves somthing lakers come out fast in the 1st and send a mesage after the cavs lost game 1 that there the best team out there Pau and the rest of the bunch show up for a LA win
LAKERS 1st H -3
LAKERS GAME -4.5 bought the hook

I really want to shoot for the over, but what bothers me is that JR Smith has a hyper extended knee. He's probably going to play but i'm sure that injury will bother him and reduce his time.
what are ya'lls thoughts?
I was looking at my sheet and i got the o/u from 08- present, under is 8-2. i think i might have to follow the trend.

I'm just gonna stick to my plan and go heavy on the over. Even if J.R. Smith is hindered by injuries, it's not like these two teams lack in offensive firepower.
As a Laker fan, I really want to go with the Lakers spread, but they almost always disappoint me when I depend on them for betting.

I"m going to frame this. I've haven't seen you pick a favorite in a while. I"m curious as to who ur pick is overall. congrats on Orlando +9 ystrdy. I knew it would be close, but I didn't see Orlando beating them straight up. I still can't imagine Clev losing the series though. clev in 6

Denver has been scoring over 100 in all of their playoff games. Although LA hasn't, I don't think LA stands a chance if they can't keep with the pace the Nuggets are scoring.
Hoping for a less sloppy game and for Denver to hit their free throws this time. OVER 211.

You in a tornado shelter down in Oklahoma? You're now polluting these posts. Sending more claptrap and mere cut & paste drivel in triple? C'mon now. Place greater thought before you click 'Official Game Thread' and have something worthwhile to state in that midst of your sheer ennui.
That, and now with a heavy tendency to claim "Don't mean to offend anyone", in the same breath as labeling others as "moron" and "dumb*ss". Same worn bit, stemming from at least as far back as your NFL playoff misfires. While I don't have a problem with one being passive-aggressive, you are abusing the privilege.
Congrats on that Orlando +8.5 (with an added 3 "for insurance") last night.
Who would've thought the Magic bench could outduel the Cavs (with a mere 5 points, 6 boards, and 2 assists)? Not me! Whilst DDDddevin was hittin' the buffet a forth time, I was tearing up Autototes.
Tonight?
Nuggets are, indeed, scrappy; yet, a far different animal on the road. This one won't be any closer than the first game.
Lakers and a comfort cushion.

Agreed on at least with the Lakers -2 (will hook) in the first half. To play their way out of an "all nighter" like they did is impressive to say the least. The O/U is a bit bothersome to me though. I am not sure how badly that right ring finger Kobe dislocated in the fourth is going to affect his shot. I do believe that there will be a much more "D" focused Lakers team with better tempo control slowing the game. Combining that with the absolute deflation I saw on the face of Coach Karl I think the Lakers have a good probability of getting the first. With the injuries on both sides, the spent energy on the Rockets series, focus on "D" and the bruised psyche of the Nuggets as a whole the O/U is much too risky for me. GL All.
