History rarely has been a cozy bedfellow of the Cardinals. They are in the playoffs for the first time in 10 years, and they haven't advanced beyond the second round since winning the NFL title in 1947.
That, coupled with their failures in the Eastern time zone in recent years, seems to give them little shot at upsetting the Panthers Saturday night in Charlotte, N.C.

I will be doing a lot of analyzing on this one. This may just be my biggest single bet of the year so far. I will be in Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) this weekend, staying at the LV Hilton which just happens to have THE LARGEST (30,000 sq ft) Sports Book in the US (if not the world). I will be betting College and NBA ML’s hard. I will be taking a hard look at this game while I am there. There is no way that Carolina undefeated at home, in the playoffs, shouldn’t be able to POUND the Cards in this game. It should be extra cash for me while I am there. I love Money Lines. That’s about all I play. That way all you need is a straight up win. This line is still at 10 points and holding. Vegas is begging people to take that 10 points. Not I sayeth the Moneymaker!
HA!!!! - - "C.E.S." show - yeah, right. We all know you're going up for the porno convention - don't lie..........
Anyways - back to football - 10 POINTS!!! C'mon, really?!!?!? I gotta take the Cards just on that principle alone. Carolina's got a so-so passing defense, and an even worse rushing defense - go look at how high-scoring their games are. If the "Edge" can pound the ball like he did last week, then I see another game like the one they played earlier this year - - which ended 27-23
Cards + 10 / / and over 48.5

LOL! You are correct, the Adult Entertainment Awards are there as well this weekend. But I will be all business with the CES until Saturday Morning and then I'm all over the College Basketball ML's. 134 games that day! It's like a free ATM machine! Okay, Okay, maybe I will find time to take a break and take a peek (or 2) Saturday night after the Carolina game. After all, it will be over early for me being on West Coast Time!
Back to NFL. History repeats itself Saturday. Carolina wins. I say by 14 plus, but I will only be playing the ML on that game (in Vegas Baby!). AND BIG! Big for me anyway. I will be broadcasting live with my laptop from the LV Hilton whilst I am there. That way you guys can either congratulate me or watch a grown man cry... I will be riding a lot on this one.

Mighty big line for the playoffs, but I'm not gonna let it scare me off of Carolina.
Zona on the road is not the same team. Panthers win BIG!
Thats what im afraid of...ZONA ON THE ROAD!
I still think 10 points is way to many points to lay.....i dont think Carolina is as explosive, to lay 10 points to anybody! Let alone in a playoff game

I like the panthers in this game. they are averaging almost 30 pts/game, thier running game with williams is sick, and delhomme should have a great game. the cardinals are a home team and do not play well on the road. look at the way they played at new england!!.the big loss for the cardinals was the loss at home to minnesota but they are out of the playoffs so it doesnt matter.the panthers D should play very well and they will be rested and ready. the 10 point spot to the panthers is too much, but they will win by at least 6.panthers 35-17!!!.

BOL on the game but be careful of those 10 points. Vegas is just begging you to take them. May even go to 11.

Has anyone been paying attention that Arizona is the consensus play on the money line and the spread, but the line is moving in the opposite direction???? What does that tell ya? Looks like the lean right now is Carolina by 20, at least the sharps think so. It is right in front of you.

This is th NFL.....and its the playoffs....Way to many points!
Silverbul271 ...Last 2 years in the divisional playoffs here are some results you may want to consider before you conclude 10 points are too much in the playoffs:
Seattle beat Wash at home 35-14
Giants beat T Bay on the road 24-14
SDiego beat TN at home 17-6
Indy beat KC at home 23-8
NE beat Jets at home 37-16
So out of 8 games 5 games were settle by 10 or more points.
Not saying who I like at this point but just taking 10 because it is a lot of points goes against the grain and the percentages. In 2005 3 of the 4 games were decided by 14 or more points.

My play is Carolina and will buy a point to get it to 9.
Arizona on the road this year:
Beat San Fran by 10 -
Lost to Wash by 7 -
Lost to the Jets by 21 -
Lost to Carolina by 4
Beat St Louis by 5 -
Beat Seattle by 6 -
Lost to Philly by 28
Lost to New England by 40 -
Carolina at Home:
Beat Bears by 3 -
Beat Atlanta by 15
Beat KC by 34 -
Beat New Orleans by 23 -
Beat Arizona by 4
Beat Detroit by 9
Beat T Bay by 15
Beat Denver by 20
Doesn's seem like 10 is too many points to me. I'll take the streaking home team as they have won 4 of last 5 (lost in overtime on the road to the gmen) versus the poor road team who is 1-4 against playoff teams. Carolina is 3-3 against playoff teams.

I took the liberty of highlighting something for you in your quote - in case you missed it..........
Also, I don't know about anyone else, but Delhomme scares me. He's too inconsistent - like Brett Favre. He'll either have a Hall-Of-Fame type game, or he throws 5 interceptions. I'm definitely not on the Cards "bandwagon", but I still think 10 points is too much.......

Thanks but I didn't miss it. Although it did slow me down on my pick until I looked at more history. Wouldn't it be nice if you could handicap all games based on what happened last time? Wow would we all make a ton of money. One of the things I have learned is seldom does lightning strike twice. Heck in many games one teams kills the other in the first half and then the second half is totally opposite, (makes it hard to pick half time lines correctly doesn't it???) ...not to mention how many times one team beats another and then the next time they play you have an entirely different result.
The point is there is a trend here.... and MAYBE THIS IS WHAT YOUMISSED ...Carolina has beaten many teams AT HOME by more than 10 AND Arizona has lost to several by more than 10 on the road, 3 x by non- playoff teams no less.
That said I hate laying double digits and will most likely buy a point to get it to 9, but that is my pick.

of Kurt Warner playing gunslinga trying to catch up to the Panthers after they run wild on them because they are on the road against a team that is undefeated at home....
and a classic backdoor cover....
I may just take the Carolina Moneyline even though I would be risking around 4 times I assume....
or I may tease it with the Ravens...
Ravens +9
Panthers -4
Looks good to me

I agree with many in this thread. I think Vegas wants money on AZ..this line should probably be Panthers -7.5 or -8....but they want the early money on AZ. Having this line at 10 makes it more difficult for the public to bet Carolina. I've watched this team several times this year and like how this team is starting to peak at the right time.
Arizona played a good, young, inexperienced Falcons team at home. I don't know what else I need to say about that game. It was good for AZ to get a home playoff win but that's as far as they get. This team has been in conisistent all year and I look to the Giants game when making my play here. They lost that game by 11 points, at home, with both Plaxico and Jacobs out.
Carolina will win this game and win it big. Expect AZ turnovers to lead the Panther points. The Panthers will stop any run game AZ tries to develop and force Warner to throw. Warner will throw picks and fumble. I expect the Panthers to win this game 38 - 20.
Panthers -10
