Over is the safer bet

I like the Giants in this spot.

Sometimes you try and locate specific match-ups and your research fails you, but today, I'm gonna believe it.

You got this much debated bye issue and I lean towards it favoring the Giants.  Coughlin gave them an uncharacteristic 4 days off and said: "forget about football."  Personally, I think this was a good idea.

Atlanta has been struggling overall and their defense is 25th v the run and 28th v the pass.  I do think Eli, with the extra time, will be ready.  The Left Corner position is a question mark right now.  3 different players have started at Left Corner for the Falcons and Steve Smith has been hot.  Left tackle Sam Baker has been playing through an ankle injury facing DeMarcus Ware and Will Smith, and now he gets Osi Umenyiora.

Matt Ryan's interception streak (2 per game over the last 5) has already been talked about, as has the absence of Micheal Turner, (although Jason Snelling could have an ok day).

An intangible here is Jason Elam's inconsistent year.  His FG% right now is at 63%, which ranks him 30th.  The guy's been kicking football's for a long time.

Yeah, that 7 points is slightly scary and it's a good line splitting the action and they may not cover it until late, but I just like the Giants to rebound here at home, in a game they desperately need, after some time off, against a struggling Falcons team.

G-MEN NEED THIS GAME OR THEIR SEASON WILL BE IN SERIOUS JEOPARDY. Hope they dont have Meadowlands blues today but I am not seeing Falcons beating them today.

Turner is out and Ryan has the sophomore slump hanging on his back. Giants D will be fired up and the offsense will be hungry.

yea I teased bluemen & over. was going to juss lay da 7 at first but your post got me thinkin that previous atlanta~panth game was infact a debaucle atl game. and i added on minn at last second to make it a 3 team teaser. thanks to your Farve post. thanks again yo!! but I lost my seperate pack bet. so Houston after their bye makes it 12/32ats. yea that guy smokin sum dummy weed fo sho. with a side of pisspoor-bad attitude also! but your were right all along~ teams off the bye are over rated, barely win and juss dont cover. byes should be looked at in negative light instead of a positive light like everyne likes to do. juss my opinion also but pigskin ball not so much my strong suit <raider fan. that should tell ya!>. I like to lean with nhl-baskets-mlb.
