You are a true idiot! We are all "just out to win some money!" Hopefully, lots of it! I am a die-hard Chiefs fan. Don't think I haven't made a killing betting against them this year. That doesn't make me a phony fan. That makes me a smart gambler. Being a fan of a team simply means I probably know more about that team than other teams. So, why not profit from that extra knowledge? I believe one of the "golden rules" is DON'T BET WITH YOUR HEART!! Anyway, I've been doing this for alomost 10 years now, and I still consider myself somewhat of a novice. One thing I never do is bet against Andy Reid off a bye week. I almost always take the Eagles in this situation. Like everyone else on here, I hate laying 9 points in the NFL, but this will probably be one of my picks. I hate bashing on here, but every now and then some dumbass comes along that deserves it. And guess what? You're that dumbass!
Philly 35...Touchdowns not FG's
ATL 20
Atlsports lost all credibility he might have had. Saying if you bet against your team means you're not a real fan is so stupid. I'm a huge chargers guy but my best bet of the year came last week on the Bills (a franchise I hate). knowing your team very well means you have a good idea of how they will play, giving you an edge when betting their games....use that knowledge to cap the game instead of blindly following your team.

Line open at -7.5, now if you track it, only 55% of the public betting Philly and the line go up to -9.5?
someone wants more money on Atlanta +9.5...
anyway, already take Philly here early in the week at -8, and i have OVER 45.5 too.

Please chill kid. You don't even know what the h*ll you are talking about. (Go look up Guyana, 1978 on Google). And who is the brilliant one who called Jim Johnson, Jimmy Johnson above? I'd love to be your book!
As far as the actual game, whhich is what people should be wriritn about, I see Philly potentially pounding the Falcons. Look no further than what they did to the Steelers, who have OL injuries all over the place but still, that was ugly. Vegas has this line exactly where it should be, as usual in the NFL this time of year. I had a fantastic day yesterday 5-0 with huge cashes on Bama and Penn St., great week at the capping network as we are helping many beat some NCAA lines that were way out of whack this week. Bama minus less than a TD against a lame TN squad? Pounded it hard. Penn St. only laying 2 against a highly overrated (as usual) Ohio St. team? Ill take the 4 units. Thankfiully we won't have to suffer through yet another blowout of Ohio State in January as they will be nowhere near an important bowl game. So all the clowns wqearing thos egay necklaces with nuts on them and singing those silly songs will be watching the Outback Bowl or something, and the rest of us can finally enjoy a competitive BcS final.
Someone above mentioned blitz packages and a rookie on the road - that is the bottom line. Can over-analyze this all day if you want, thats all that counts. And I don't care if Atlanta beat an overrated GB team on the road, with not nearly as complex a scheme - or not. And neither should any of you. Plus, just a sidebar, Atlanta is a mnor lrage sports town and Philly isn;t. The Braves are the biggest chokers in sports next to the Vikings and Broncos (0-4 in Bowls until Elway had a RB). And the Falcons and Hawks (please, move to Seattle or something already...) have never won a thing. Philly is a major league town - Wilt, Julius, a couple Stanley Cups. Well the Eagles never won anything either I guess....that's the other side of the state with all the Lombardi's in the lobby! Small play on Philly -9, half unit (nickel). GLTA.
