still makes me laugh that people have put so much emphasis on Manning in the cold weather...
he is 0-3 in the playoffs in cold weather... but (needless to say, since he played all of his previous home playoff games in a DOME), all of those games were on the road... 2 of them were against the Patriots, who went on to win the SB both of those years... and none of the games were blowouts... not to mention all of those games were at least 5 years ago, or more...
this game is at home... Manning has done well at home in the playoffs... and most importantly, this is a different team, with a better defense than any of Indy's teams while Manning was there... if you're gonna put so much stock... at least be able to assess it in the proper context, and how it relates to this game...
just trying to help!

I don't think this point has been hammered enough.....
I 100% agree.... Baltimore is no cold-weather team.... but their running game is an advantage in my opinion....
Brady is the only qb, and maybe Farve, who has defied the weather lol
This is being so overblown i find it a bit funny. It's going to be cold with absolutely no wind or snow. How do the ravens have an advantage in the run game? Denver has the superior defense. If anything i expect denver to run the ball very effectively against this ravens d. Anyways im fading this game , but i do find all this manning cant play in the cold stuff a bit funny. Hell probly drop 55 on em tomorrow.
GL TO ALL!

Well, if that's the case, then Denver should win by 17-18 points, And Balt might score 10 or less which points to an UNDER game.

Its not just manning.... He can't throw and catch the freezing rock....
Boldin is the best wideout on the field btw
And balt has the best rb on the field....
If you think Boldin is better than Demaryius your crazy. Rice will be more of a receiving threat than Boldin. Denver's defense is better than Balt. Can't wait to reintroduce Wacoflacco to Von miller. Flacco is gonna be under pressure all game and rice won't get garbage on the ground. He'll get his on screen passes and dump offs in the second half which might be just enough to cover in garbage time. Manning is going to shred ray and the middle all day...as soon as reed starts to cheat manning will hit DT deep. If reed stays deep...decker and especially stokley will shred the middle of the field. Best bet is prob Den 1st quarter and half...watch Balt barely cover the number in the second. I don't think people realize how solid Denver's defense is

Betting is about perception more then anything.. If it was always which team is better then the other, we'd all be rich.. Going with Baltimore game for $100 in this one.. Best of luck guys

BAL +9.5 (.5u) -Baltimore played a tougher schedule (#18 vs 28 Sagarin SoS ratings). In better conditions, I'd go with Peyton and the Broncos, but in this spot, weather conditions, Bronco 2 week layoff, I'll take the points. Score: Ravens 17 - Broncos 24

yea i would definitely lean toward the under... even if Denver blows them out, i think they will control the clock in the 2nd half... i'd say at 45.5 it's not a bad play...
31-10 is my prediction...

I think 9.5 is just way too many points for a game of this magnitude. This line is an overreaction to the 34-17 win at Baltimore earlier this year. Don't forget that the Ravens were going in to make it a 10-7 game at the end of the first half until Flacco threw that unforgivable pick-6 that made it 17-0 instead. I knew the game was over after that play. I could see this game being decided by one score. Baltimore matched the Broncos score-fo-score in the 2nd half of that game as the final was 34-17.
I just see a more competitive game this time around. Good luck!

all this talk about ray lewis looking like he was slow and gimpy is funny,
THE GUY STILL LED BOTH TEAMS IN TACKLES...
yeah he`s human now after 17 years.
and for the people who say flacco sucks and always will, let me remind y`all he`s the only QB in NFL history to win a playoff game in his 1st years. you must have missed him on "dillfer`s dimes" with some great throws in that second half of last weeks game.
with all that said, i love the ravens but i think denver tops them today.
GL to all...

Yes, a homer pick for sure. I think baltimore may cover but it isn't because I am delusional enough to think Flacco is a Top 10 QB. He is very average on a good day. For the ravens to have any chance at winning it will take a big day by Rice. Based on the way Denver throttled him the first time around, I don't see him carrying this team. With bad weather and this many points, ravens aren't a bad play, but don't come on here with your pompoms waving in the air. It is a betting site, give us new information and a balanced opinion not some homer fantasy. Do that at the sports bars down at the harbor. Denver straight up as part of a teaser. Safest way to play this game.

I hate to bet against manning, but this line is too much in the playoff plus Denver momentum is off cuz of closed to 2 week off. I'm going with Baltimore. good luck to you guys

If weather was not as bad as it is, I'd be taking Denver. However the snow WILL be a factor. Moreno will end a long drive with a fumble. Ray rice, except last week, has been good about protecting the ball. Just don't trust Flacco, but 9.5 is A LOT for a playoff game. Denver is much better team overall but think it'll be a TD/FG game.
Baltimore +9.5/Under 44.5

No credit to Pierce, that kid can run, he has a leg injury and didn't practice till Thursday, but he said he can work with the pain and what about the motivation that ray will give this defense, heck after he gives a speech I feel like going outside and karate chopping my neighbors head off. I think 9 points is too much in a 14 degrees at kick off game, but then again Payton is a Qb/offensive coordinator so he might have some tricks up his sleeve for this game..... Tough weekend

I took Ray Rice to score first TD last week for a nice payout..... guy catches a ball and goes down at the 1.... then they throw pierce in at the goal line, but Leach runs it in....
