FlyingDutchman - huge Bills fan here from Mass.....I hate the Patriots with a passion.....I agree with you in the fact that I think the Bills are going to lose Monday night and the Pats have absolutely OWNED the Bills going 16-2 since 2000 but 1 thing does stick out. The Bills and Pats have opened the season against each other twice in this decade.....
2003 - Buffalo 31 Pats 0
2006 - Pats 19 Buffalo 17
nothing earth shattering but still found it interesting....I would like to see nothing more than the Bills beat the Pats Monday night.
Love the Boston Bruins.....despise the Habs

Hey I like moneymaker, but unless you're Bill Gates and can lay about 25-30K+, the Pats ML is absurd. Parlay Pats with San Diego ML and it's still ridiculous....unless you need some lunch money. I do like ML parlays however, and have the Pats pending in an 8 team ML parlay that included 5 college games. That's how I play 1/2 of my FB games since money is my objective. Like heavy favs that offer lines...that when capped should cover the spread. It's still no guarantee. The Ravens had me shittin' today for a second, then actually covered the 13 late!

I agree ML is absurd! Unless you take dogs why would you lay 1000 to win 100? And buckeye is right, you need big bucks to win a percent of big bucks. This ain't college.. any given sunday my friends.
Oh and yeah buddie, Ravens baby! I hate giving more than 10pts in the NFL.

Ha....your Broncos had a miraculous finish! Grats! My buddy texted me from the game....not a happy camper. The censors would undoubtedly kick me off if I posted his text.

i have a weird feeling about this game going under...
Unlike the Patriots ALMOST undefeated season, they haven't been called cheaters in this offseason by the Jets organization.
I think they aren't as vengeful as they were in the 2007-08 season, and once Tom Brady puts them ahead by 3 TDs, they'll take him out, run out the clock, and put the Bills out of their misery before risking another injury.
Going 16-0 in the regular season does nothing in the postseason, we've already witnessed what happened, and I'm sure Coach Bellichick realizes that now. A win is a win, and running up the score does nothing except risk your 1st stringers getting injured.
With that said, I'll go with Patriots and the under. The Bills WILL score, but with Marshawn out, the Pats will keep Buffalo at a 1-dimensional offense. I just don't see Buffalo putting up enough points to contribute to the over.

T.O. is with the Bills, Teddy B is now retired, Brady is back, Seymour is with the Raiders, etc. Way too many things to look at here. I would love to hammer it on the Patriots but too many things to consider before I can choose a side. I'll probably lay off this one but I'm considering taking the under but not sold on the play as of yet.
Good luck to all that touches this game

I am as die hard Buffalo Bills fan as you will ever meet (sorry to say) and you would be insane to bet the Bills in this game. I post on Bills boards so I know this team inside and out. We are going to be terrible this year, and I do mean TERRIBLE. If it wasnt for my fear of burning in hell, i would bet the hell out of the Patriots....Where to start....
The Bills offense: The Bills starting unit failed to score 1 offensive TD in the preseason. The Bills offensive line is COMPLETELY reshuffled. Our RG is a rookie who will be seeing his first game, along with our LG. Our center is back-up guard from the Panthers. We just let Langston Walker go (the only player on our team with LT starting experience) and will have another rookie, Demetrius Bell, start in his place. Demetrius will bea solid player in the future, but is a project. He was taken in the 7th round last year, and impressed some coaches. He missed 15 games due to injury, and did not play in the only game he dressed for. Our line as struggled for YEARS against the 3-4 and now we have a completely inexperienced line trying to do the job. Lynch is suspended. Freddy Jackson is solid and will start, but after him Xavier Omon averages hardly 2 yards a carry and hasnt shown me hes capable of anything. For some dumb effing reason, the bills let dominic rhodes go. WR is the only strength on this team, but with the lack of protection, Trent will be forced to go with his usual small dump of gains that wont amount to crap. The fact that we wont be able to run the ball wont help that at all.
Bills Defense: The Bills defense showed once again its failure to get pressure on the QB this preseason. Rookie Aaron Maybin showed some positve signs that he could be a force in the future, however his lack of size and run stoping ability makes him a situational rusher only. You cannot give Tom Brady 4 clean seconds to throw the ball. You simply cannot. This is one of the major reasons the Pats have owned us for years. No pressure on Tom. We get hardly an edge rush, and when we do, theres no pressure up the middle so Tom will just step up and find someone. Our CBs are decent (Mckelvin and Mcgee) however lack of size matched up on Moss concerns me. Our safetys are jokes. We passed on Ngata in the draft for Whitner and guess who has more interceptions? Yup a freaking DT.....
I can go on. The only edge we have is on special teams...however you guys get the point. The Pats have absolutely owned us for years and we're even worse now. This spread should seriously be at least 17 and i personally think we'll lose by 21 or more....hope I could help...as you can see, us Bills fans are optimistic.....GL all
Thanks for that great info flying dutchman

This one looks like the proverbial "no brainer"... with the Buffalo Bills clearly a team in turmoil. 1) they lost Pro Bowl RB Lynch, who was suspended for the first three games after he was caught with a semiautomatic handgun; 2) fired OC Schonert 10 days before tonight's season opener; 3) shipped Pro Bowl OT Peters to the Eagles for draft choices; 4) cut Peters’ OT replacement, leaving the Bills with an O-line featuring three starters who've never appeared in an NFL game.
Add the fact that QB Edwards looking more and more like a scared kitten... not exactly early-season positives.
And, as Dutchman noted in one of his comments, the Bills' offensive starters failed to score a touchdown in five preseason games! This, after ranking 25th in the NFL in offense last season.
The Pats have owned this series... having won 11 straight... by an avg of over 20 ppg... and going 9-2 ATS. They're also 5-0 ATS L5 and 6-2 ATS L8 against Buffalo in Foxboro.
Look for QB Brady and the NE juggernaut offense to run wild tonight and the Patriot "D" to shut down Buffalo (and hopefully shut up T.O.).

Hey All ... my first post and first bet of the year on the NFL so hopefully I win
As stated in previous posts the bills offense looked awful in the preseason. Was able to watch two games and there first string offense looked all out of sorts. Not to mention they fired there offensive coordinator last week
The Patriots took care of business in the preseason and I expect them to start the regular season off with a big win over a division foe!
Playing the PATS -10 (-126)
