Houston to the bank...and im a bears fan. Gonna be hard to lay off this one
I'm with you - if I didn't witness the Bears pathetic offense firsthand last night against the fudge-packers, I might have gone bears. They made the Packers look like they were the ones gearing up for the playoffs!!!!! I think the Texans are a tougher team than a lot of people give them credit for, and they can at least play "spoiler" in this one - I like Houston.....

Chicago has but one impressive road win, and that was versus lowly St Louis.
The Bears defensive secondary have lost loads of strength since Nathan Vasher went down, and now Mike Brown is also ailing. Green Bay was somewhat effective in exploiting that Monday night.
Houston is a different animal at home, with a mere one lame game, being crushed by Baltimore.
Despite the element of poor road opponent, and lights-out host, I like how Lovie Smith lays it on the line - in preparation and adjusting when the game seems all but lost (see: Monday night).
Houston will play spoiler to a certain degree, and Matt Schaub will have a staple 300+ and three scores. K Walter will have improved numbers from even last week (likely 8 catches, 120+ yds), to provide a fine wayward distraction from Andre Johnson.
The Bears will still have a means of getting it done.
An invinsible Devin Hester from last week reappears here, with brilliant numbers. Matt Forte affords 100+ and two scores.

hou -3 looks good. Note the name...huge bears fan. I just don't think we match up well against the texans. I would lay the wood on the texan if i wasn't a die hard bears fan...instead i will watch the game and hope for a win!

We’ve got to do everything we can to try to win this game,” receiver Andre Johnson said during a break in preparation for the Bears. “We’ve got a good team coming in, and they have to win this game for a chance to make the playoffs. They’re trying to do it on our turf, and our goal is to try to keep them from doing it.”
We’re going to do what we have to do to win the game,” Kubiak said. “We’re going to play our regular guys. This is an important game for us not to end up worse than last years record, too.”
“We’re going to play hard,” Dunta Robinson said. “We want to win. Any time you end the season with a loss, it’s a long offseason, but with a victory, it gives you something positive going into the offseason.”

Houston will tear this secondary apart. Mike Brown was placed on the IR at safety and the Bears aren't playing at home like they did the last two weeks while needing OT in two games that they should have lost. Houston has a better running game........a far supior passing game and a QB that isn't a dink.........Houston rolls the Bears back to the cave until next spring.

Bears vs. Texans -3 (2 units) - Houston needs this win to finish .500 again this season, and Chicago also needs this win (with a little help) to make the playoffs. Kyle Orton hasn't been playing well lately, and neither has their offense in general. The Bears defense is still top notch but they'll be without a key player in Mike Brown. Houston has been playing really well since the return of QB Schaub. This is mostly a gut feeling pick because I know that Houston can score points, Chicago's defense does have holes, and Chicago's offense has been anemic.

I am all over the Texans too. If the Texans can control the ground game and keep Forte contained they should roll over the Bears. Big if though. Still GL to all
