Oh boy...I hate to be on the wrong side of the tracks when the W8 train is coming thru!!! But I'm sticking to my guns here. I also find it very interesting that Alex Smith has just been ruled out and Vegas is still moving the line in the wrong direction given the news (Bears have gone from +5 to +6.5). Even without Alex Smith under center, my thesis for this game still supports a play on the 49ers. I think the Bears defense is a solid unit and will be motivated because a loss would allow the Packers to share the top spot in the North. But I still don't think it will be enough when their offense gets completly shut down.
I think Collin Kapernick is a really special player and is going to make enough plays with his legs and his arm for San Fran to win this game by two scores.
good luck
def scared of that w8 train.

Both starting QB's likely to sit this one out. No spread or total issued, but the over'under is likely to be in the 34-36 point range and will probably move even lower once on the board.
It seems too obvious but the game will be the "three yards and a cloud of dust" type. Two excellent defenses and two coaches that will likely be very conservative on offense due to the lack of starting QB's.
My advice is POUND THE UNDER EARLY

As of 11:59AM today, Alex Smith is listed as “expecting to miss.” In my book Ladies and Gentlemen, I don’t see him missing this game as a bad thing… I am of the opinion, Colin Kaepernick is a better QB than Smith AND he has been waiting in the chomping at the bit for his chance to show the country what he can do (also auditioning for another gig if San Francisco is unwillingly to make him the “guy” next year). With CK under center that 49er’s squad becomes even more dangerous offensively (true 11 on 11 football versus 10 on 11). He is a threat (has the wheels) to take one to the house on any given snap which will force the Bears to account for him with a safety... that should create a bunch of one on one match ups for Crabtree, Moss, Manningham over the top and will leave the best tight end in the league (Davis) a bunch of opportunities underneath one on one with a linebacker.
I
liked Chicago plus seven (7) with Alex Smith taking snaps, but I LOVE the Niners
at the house -3 with CK taking snaps…
Still deliberating and monitoring this opportunity…

Nice post...however Davis is the best TE now, only for the fact that Gronk is out for 3-6................
