David Buehler went 33-of-38 on field-goal tries during the team portion of practices in the controlled conditions of the Alamodome. Two of the misses came from more than 50 yards

Phillips does not believe in setting game plans for exhibitions. He is more interested in watching how the club performs the fundamentals. Game-planning is for the regular season.

"I think Tashard Choice will play a little bit, give him the opportunity to play some. Of course the young running backs, the full backs. I think all in all we have a group that needs some playing time, need to see how they compete"

This is a home game for the Bengals. Being played outdoors and on grass.

"NFL's all-time leading rusher" but not the NFL's all time best running back.

Smith had a lifetime average of 4.1 per yard, Jim Brown had 5.1. Brown carried the ball a full yard more every time Smith carried the ball. Smith didn't even have the second best average that goes to Barry Sanders @ 5.0. Smith goes in the HOF with a record he padded.

BTW, Bengals take this, Bengals -2.0

You must of missed this quote from him...

"The break is unbelievable, says Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.”You'll have a lot of your starters that will have about a four or five day break here. They won't get much time in Canton."

defense cowboys better, cowboys deeper in personel, dallas at home.  Dallas 20  bengals 14

Bengals have a tough schedule and 3 trouble maker receivers.  they might start good but will leak oil at the end again this year like last.
Dallas always tough schedule every year.  have tough defense and finally eliminated their secondary problem issues that have plagued the team for the past 4-5 years.  Cowboys will make playoffs with the talent on both sides of the ball.

This is the playoff "lights out" defense that gave up 34 points you're talking about? Cowbillies home is not in Canton Ohio.

BTW, every team has talent. What every team does not have is a good coach, discipline and heart.

I just watched the highlights of the 2009 Dallas/SD game and the announcers at the start of the game said, this is a preview of the SB. These guys must have gotten a memo from the NFL to push Dallas. Since 1997 Dallas has one more playoff win than the Detroit Lions. Here's a prediction, at this same time next year Dallas will be the NFC favorite to go to the SB, again.

I think what you meant is the Cowbillies will be on their 26th beer when the Ravens score their 20th point. Those beers could be at the SB in Cowbilly stadium, i'am sure JJ will be handing out tickets to all the players.

Ok all you "I need to bet the first NFL game of the season, even if it is pre-season, degenerates...

Dalls is traditionally not a "I MUST WIN ALL MY PRE-SEASON GAMES" team....  The Bungals have a new addition to their team and now a duo that is making the press and promising a "show", not a ring, but a "show". IMO T.O. will NEVER have a ring. He is good but will never be one of the greats.

With that said... dish above brought out some good points, so I will keep it short and say that by the end of Q4, when all is said and done, Dalls will have had enough "Practice" against a scrub team with a few good players, but they won't be there to expose their regular season intentions. Therefore, The Bungals will win by default and cover the 3.

Cincinati Bungals Win their pre-season first, but the over/under for regular season games IMO will be set right where it should be for them at 5.5.

During his visit in Georgetown, James Walker predicted that the team will only keep two quarterbacks, including Carson Palmer, in a way to free up a roster spot for, say a seventh receiver, an additional defensive back or another linebacker.

If true, J.T. and Jordan have no room for error and you will see both of them tonight.  Both of them took the majority of snaps in Fridays practice.  If true, and they decide to keep Matt Jones, he would probably be the emergency QB in regular season.
