Texans pass "D" butter? they handled Peyton Manning. I know you think Romo is better than Manning. I bet Romo throws 50 times, again because Dallas has no running game, 36 yards vs. Bears, 1.8 yards a carry? When was the last time Dallas scored 27 points? I bet they wish they were playing the Eagles this week.
Facts about Dallas are they don't have a coach and they are not disciplined. They will beat lesser teams but when they step up to the best and have to dig deep inside themselves to win a game they won't have it. When Parcells left the players were dancing in the streets and said so much pressure was now taken off them. The inmates are running the prison. Stop dancing after a 4 yd tackle, Williams signaling a first down because a trip to the EZ is so rare, nice fumble BTW.
This weekend the wheels are really going to come off. Lose and you have 2 weeks to ride that 0-3 horse until the Titans come to town.
Texans at -3.0 is easy money. Dallas will use very trick play they have but it won't matter.
yeah, peyton threw for a paltry 433 yards, only 3 touchdowns no picks on better than 70% passing.
You're right, they sure held him in check. The colts, playing from behind, almost never ran in that game, so the texans clearly knew that manning would be passing and probably could have cheated that. And yet still, got highly burned by manning who could have won the game if not for a costly turnover and absence of run defense by his teammates.
Then McNabb throwing to a FAR less talented receiving core than the one the skins marched out there last sunday and did essentially the same friggin thing (426 yds, 1 TD -they went to portis goalline- no picks, 73.6% completions).
So as the only NFL team to have allowed over 800 yards through two games they are statistcally the worst secondary in the NFL this year. I know it's early and they probably aren't the worst in the league, but as two top 10 QBs have pointed out, there is clearly a vulnerable weakness in that secondary, so yeah, I'd say they are like butter.
Here's some notable inequalities:
Cowboys receivers > washington's receivers
Romo's throwing abilities = McNabb's throwing abilities (roughly)
Cowboys Defense > Washington's D > Colts D
Washington may defend the run a little better and colts probably defend the pass about as well, but Dallas's D is more well rounded and while occasionally vulnerable, they don't have any serious holes in their D like the other two teams do, meaning that this is the best Defense Houston has seen. Not saying they can stop the Texans, but slow them down enough to let the offense get a jump on them.
Cowboys have been passing a lot more this year so they can exploit the glaring weakness of the Texan and get up early.
This is a huge game for the cowboy's season while a loss here won't really de-rail the texan's long term plans, so it would be hard not to expect the cowboys to outplay the texans and if you seriously think that vegas would lay only three with the texans while the public prances to punch that soft ticket in an apparently obvious game with one team (texans) LOOKING very good and the other (dallas) losing two and looking worse than they are.
I think the boys come out strong and run this one wire to wire
DAL +3
and for the reference, i'm and eagle fan. I hate the cowboys, but I might as well make money off them because they're not going to lose forever and it's pretty rare that they're even catching points.
