lol i will never put another dime on this lions team until they fire the 2 headed monster that is schwartz and linehan. Their days are numbered, ford family doesn't like to fire people but when you're own crowd is deadly silent the entire game and booing the offense even when they're up in the game there's absolutley no way these 2 idiots survive.

Minn 11-1 SU @ home last 12 yrs v. the loser Lions
How dead are the Lions? What could possibly motivate them when they just had to hang on to that lead late in the 4th v. NYG and would've been playing for the P.O. here?
Minn has been playing with nothing on the line for weeks.Viking's slay the lions.

Minesota has absolutely no defense. At least the lions have some kind of defense. Taking the points.
They have a much superior offense and a good run defense. They already beat minny by ten points this season. Vikings get mauled. I think the guys like Shwartz and will play for him here.

I'm with you on this. That Giants game last week was a trap, and now everybody's overreaction to taking the Vikings here is one, too.
Even with that, though, I'd probably still tease the Loins, just in case there's some "shenanigans" late in the game.....

[/Mellow definitely much of what you say is fact, however I must disagree on a couple of points. What is the state of the Lions after they gave away a division crown that was theirs for the taking? On paper they are superior to just about everyone they play, but they lost 5 out of 6 SU and ATS down the stretch. They were favored in 5 out of 6 of those games. I believe if the Lions were going to play for Shwartz they would have done it a few weeks back when it mattered . The motivation edge is all in on the Vikes. Last game in the Metrodome, I'm sure they will have plenty of ex Vikings on hand for the occasion. I'm sure everyone is aware of the Lions 1-14 record at the Metrodome the last 15 games. Peterson is out and if Johnson plays at all it will just be to get the 8 yards he needs for 1500 rec. yds. Don't see the normal high scoring shootout between these division rivals, that's a lot of offense on the sidelines. Like the under a lot in this one. Mellow no disrespect intended I appreciate someone going against the grain on this one because the only thing that scares me about Minnesota is that's it's too obvious. Oh well. Under 51 for the Lahgeee Vikes-3 for the medium. Mellow as always good luck to you. Just not in this contest.

no gerhert, no petterson, patterson is a game time decision.. the qb couldnt throw the ball in lake superior.. at least detroit has some offense. they need to win this game to justify the money they have spent on these players. i call them the "dallas of the north", and while they play like my cowboys they do not have the legacy behind them to get away with horrific way they have played for the last month.. people going to love and hate dallas no matter what, but people are only going to hate detroit if they dont do something and do it fast..
detroit ml here..

All this further supports a Minnesota ML bet. The Lions defy logic. Once I heard it was the last game in that Metrodome/Mall of America Stadium, thats all I needed to know. Minnesota wins.

ykmicheal I think this game does mean something to Minnesota. It's the best of both worlds because the motivation comes without the pressure that a playoff scenario would bring. As the Doc has mentioned in other threads a lot of the time these teams in must win playoff situations do not fare well ATS. We'll see. GLTA!

this, I remember.... Lions suck end of month in December because their coaches don't know how the make proper adjustments ( last 8...1-7 ATS). so, consider this fact if anyone sided with Detroit.
