Die hard Detroit fan here. Tough to watch all the drops these 0's had against St. Louis man. Really was a hard thing to watch Stafford put the ball on them numerous times only to see them bounce out of their hands to the turf. The "X" factor though returns this week. Calvin is a full go in practice and that just opens up so many things for us offensively. I see the Lions logging at least 3 Tds here so watch out on the under bets. Actually like this one to go over as out defense "BLOWS"

Remember that the Seahawks played 2 bad teams at home this year already, they beat STL 28-0 and Jacksonville 42-0, now they have another bad team at home and the hawks are coming off two straight losses. This game should be over by halftime.

see pickinvet i agree with you but the problem is detroit covered a spread of 9.5 points against the steelers and lost only 28-0 in greenbay, not to say that the lost vrom the vikings by 10 so i can't see seatle covering that many points on a much improved detroit team with calvin back. i'm saying 28-21 score or 21-17. with that said i'm laying off this one

Good points, but it seems they always play Minn tough, and that game vs Pitt was a home game for Lions, and they were kind of lucky to cover it. Seattle is probably my favorite side pick of the week. I live here and the feeling around town and the organization is, if they don't blowout this game, shit's gonna hit the fan.
Its not a homer pick either, as panthers are my favorite team, but I do know the hawks well and I love them to cover this week.

My favorites this week are Cincy +3 Seattle -10 and Tenn +4 I also have indy on a couple of bets (teasers) I'm kinda shocked that no one is backing the colts this week. Never thought I'd see so much love for a single digit spread at Indy, especially of a rusty game last week. I think colts cover but only have the balls to lay less than a FG on the teaser

I make different plays each week, just kinda depends on the slate of games. Like I said in another thread, even though I play a lot of teasers I always have a top 3 each week because I have a website I sell picks on and put out the best 3 each week, which Is why I have a top 3 thread here.
But I don't always play the top 3 on regular spreads, sometimes I do, or I play them in teasers and maybe the occasional parlay. But If I had to play just what I think the best single side bets each week that is what they would be. So each week I'll usually have a thread of the Top 3, and then a thread of my actual plays.
As far as the Dallas/Philly game, its a tough game to cap because both teams are playing well lately and are leading the division. Personally I wouldn't want to lay 3 with eagles or take 3 with cowboys. My play this SNF will be a teaser with Dallas +10 and Over 41. I like this play the most because Dallas has a decent chance to win SU, and if not have a great chance of keeping it within 10pts or less. I like to do this kind of play with two good teams when I expect a close game. Plus if Philly does come out and take a big lead, you are still alive for a backdoor cover as well.
Thanks for the compliments I'm pretty new here but love talking football with all you guys.

yeah a lot of people don't like teasers and think they are sucker bets, and they can be if your not careful to think about it in depth. I had winning seasons before I learned about teasers, but ever since I have found out about them I've been playing em more and more. One rule I have on teasers is I never choose a selection for teaser unless I like it to cover the regular spread at least to some degree.
Sorry to all the other posters we kinda took over this thread talking about all this but back to the subject at hand.
Seattle -10 over Detroit Seattle has a great day through the air in this one

+10: the good
teams can cover DD spreads, the so-so teams like the Seahawks, who just
released Edgerrin James this week are not your typical NFL juggernaut, at least
not enough to lay DD points. The Lions have their top receiver back (Calvin
Johnson) and still have a pulse. While they may not win, they have a good
chance of covering the spread. Score: Lions 14-Seahawks 21 (2 units).

Taking Detroit. They're simply embarrassed after last week. I jumped all over STL, knowing it was most likely their best opportunity to get a win this year. Seattle doesn't score enough consistently to be a favorite to anyone, no matter how bad the opposition. Det +10 all day for this guy
