Write-up time
This is going to be a good game, but I want to point out a few things here.
1 - When did the Colts last lose a game? 12/24/06 @ Houston.
2- Jax is going to run on the Colts all night - they'd better, because they sure aren't going to throw all over them with Garrard. This is not the same defense that got shredded by Jax last year. The Colts have made a few adjustments at linebacker tonight as well to key on the run game of Jax.
3- The Colts lowest output this year was against Tennessee (22 pts), and Tenn is of similar talent on that side of the ball as Jax.
Every other game has been 30 or more, and margin of victory of 6 or better. There was a horrible no call on a pass interference in the Tenn game that led to a rare Peyton int and a short field TD for Tenn. Take that away and the Colts were on the way to a dd victory there too. (yes, that could happen tonight too, I'm just telling you what I saw)
4- Dallas Clark was out last year against Jax - no safety net for Manning against the pass rush of Jax. This was a huge deal in that game. Jax focused on the wideouts and took the pass away very effectively. Tonight they get to cover the entire field. Add to that the threat of Gonzalez in the slot & Manning has all the toys tonight. Harrison will go.
Jax has beaten Hou, KC, Den & Atl, and lost to Tenn. I'm not impressed. Jax is live in this game due to home field & history between division rivals, but I'll back the defending champs at a short price and revenge on their mind. This is my largest play of the season to date.
