The question is: Does Caldwell have the ego of a Belichek?...CHECK THAT;;;Does the Colt's owner, Isray have the ego of Pat's owner, Gillette? Obviously, If the Colts had one loss this year....this would be a completely different scenario. Are the Colts willing to risk a championship season for eternal NFL glory?
and the survyey says.........bet your bottom dollar. Colts have their Stuper Bowl ring.....they're going for the enshrinement. This opp. will not happen again for the ponys. They ain't leaving it on the sideline for the people Th. nite.

78% of the public are on Indy..... I'm not taking the bait. Jags ml +130 and under 42. Caldwell 'says' all healthy players will start, but the Jags will be fighting hard to stay in the playoff hunt, and all the Jags need to do is keep it close in the 1st half and they will have a good chance of pulling off the upset. I may wait to see if the line goes up closer to game time.

This is my first post of the season. I don't believe that this game belongs to Indy simply if they decide they want it. They are clearly the better team, but there are a few factors to take into account:
1. For whatever reason Thursday night games seem to play out strangely. The short week tends to make outcomes a little wacky.
2. Indy may be relieved to lose THIS game to take the pressure and questions off the rest of the 2 remaining regular season games. As much as us fans hate it, some of these coaches are concerned about the ring only.
3. The line is pretty much dead on for the way these rivals play each other.
4. The Jags MUST win, whereas the Colts would like to win.
My money is on the Jags moneyline at +155.
Good luck

and so am I.... scary I know.... but let's remember one thing....
Colts head coach Caldwell said that the Colts will be treating this game like any other.... they will not be resting players....
Manning has broken many records this year.... do you think he is going to lay down and not go undefeated? not have a chance at NFL immortality? especially when his arch-rival Tom Brady had an undefeated season????
also, Peyton Manning is going after Dan Marino's single season passing record.... this hasn't been stated by the analysts and I'm very suprised, they were all over Drew Brees last year......
I'm taking the COLTS moneyline and laying the juice....
I can't see the Colts losing this game..... Jags may keep it close, but win? I don't think so.....
GL to all!

Seems like the o/u might be the best bet...O/U was set at 45 first time they met and they went way under...Considering the speculation of whom might it seems that sitting the starters on offense is a possibility.
That being said it seems to me that if they do sit the players it helps Jags at +3, but if they don't then it helps Colts -3, but either way the under 43 looks good...UNDER 43 is the play and no play on the spread

totally agree, i see an 20-21 score here. indi wins but just by 1, you know... the money, the pros... nfl network. static -3 line..
let's see what happen the first half, then wager the second.
can't see colts losing this game, no way.. but if you want to bet, take the points with jags.
i really don't want to see my team with 13-1 record.
GLTA.

Very tough one to call....Colts & Jax normally play each other tough with all the starters playing so it's hard to decide on this one.
The Colts will probably start all the starters that are healthy but the question is how many qtrs are they going to play?
totally with you my friend... may follow with phancard and go colts 1/2 and jax 2half and game here... line reminds me too much like that MNF game last week.. if it looks too good to be true.. probably is..... still looking @ it... but that the early feel here...

regular season undefeated means very little as witnessed by Pats. More important in my mind for a veteran team like Colts to rest stars and keep them from getting hurt. Colts really have nothing to play for, Jax have everything. NO is a different story as they are a franchise with very little winning culture, so I think they keep the pedal to the floor. Besides Dallas deserves to be whipped as they have 5 super bowls to their none.
BRAH! YOU TOOK THE WORDS RIGHT OUT OF MY MIND. SHORT AND TO THE POINT. DEFINITELY ONE OF THE BEST POST I'VE SEEN THAT MAKES PERFECT SENSE. I GUESS YOU CAUGHT NFL.COM/ NFL NETWORK ENTITLED "REST VS. RUST".
[QUOTE] WHAT IS 16-0 IF YOU DONT WIN THE SUPER BOWL?
THAT IS THE MENTALITY OF THE COLTS. YES, I'M SURE THAT PEYTON WOULD NOT MIND GOING FOR THE GLORIOUS 16-0 AND I AM BY NO MEANS SAYING THEY WON'T BUT LOOK AT THEIR IR LIST. NOTHING BUT RED FLAGS WHEN YOU THINK THEY ARE PLAYING ALL OUT. 2ND STRING QB ALREADY OUT FOR THE SEASON. WHO WILL REPLACE PEYTON IF BY SOME FUCKED UP WAY HE GETS INJURED? I'M SURE THEY HAVE A 3RD STRING QB BUT THEY DONT HAVE A RUNNING GAME THAT WILL CARRY THEM IF THAT HAPPENS. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME ANY 3RD STRING QB CAME INTO THE GAME AND START THROWING BOMBS FOR A PASS DOMINANT TEAM?
JAX NEEDS TO WIN AND CAPABLE TO DO SO. IF THEY CAN KEEP IT CLOSE IN INDI, HOMEFIELD COULD PUT THEM OVER. LINE AT +3, SO THAT MEANS THAT IT SHOULD BE +6 W/OUT THE HOMEFIELD ADV. A TD COULD RUIN A 6 POINT TEASER WHICH I'M SURE VEGAS HAS IN MIND. IF COLTS ARE UP BY 3 LATE IN THE FOURTH ( PUSH ), JAX DRIVES THE BALL DOWN FIELD WITH TIME RUNNING OUT AND PUTS UP A TD, THEY WIN BY 4. 6 POINT TEASER FAILS TO COVER, VEGAS CLEANS HOUSE AND COLTS STILL HAVE FIRST ROUND BYE AND HOMEFIELD ADVANTAGE IN THE PLAYOFFS.
NOT SAYING THAT IS WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN BUT VERY LIKELY POSSIBLE. BEST BET FOR ME IS TO JUST WATCH AND ENJOY THIS GAME. THIS LATE IN THE REGULAR SEASON WITH PLAYOFFS COMING, WILD CARD CONTENDERS ARE UNPREDICTABLE. WHAT IS PREDICTABLE IS HOW 13-0 COLTS WILL PLAY AND VEGAS WILL THINK.

Indy heads into this matchup with a different mindset than any other outing this year.Sure they would love to go undefeated however that is not their aim.Although they have been bent many times this year they are yet to be broken...It seems a ground swell of support seems to be building towards an unbeatable Colts outfit..I beg to differ..Firstly,with so many questionables on the injury front one would have to be fading the Jags to be laying the chalk so easily and early.. Secondly..Indy has had to come from behind on many occasions, plus they have almost squandered leads they should of closed out easily, thus resting their offence..not the case .Finally,Peyton is only human..eg..10 interceptions over the past 6 games which shows something is about to give.... Flip-side...Jags still have a chance of making the playoffs, that is irrespective of what you and I think..Although they have been lethargic on the offensive front lately,at home their defence always puts in..They will run and try keep the Indy offence off the field thus pushing Indy`s D all the way as most teams attempt..Difference being the situational spot, it spells nicely for a home win but because of the Peyton factor taking the points on offer.... JAGS +3.5

Colts will not be resting people until the end of the game...they found out what happens when you start resting people to early in the season, you lose your first game in the playoffs

5 Dimes dropped the line to 1.5 whereas most everyone is 3. They did the same thing on Monday night and stuck out like a sore thumb moving the home dog (SF) closer to even. FWIW

The line has also gone to 4 on one or two sites! I'm 10- 2 on reverse line movements, meaning, the dawg turns into fav game time, So you take the team that has now become fav! But here, im staying with the colts. Too much riding, a perfect season is very important, not only bonus money for players but also a chance to say we were PERFECT! Look for indy to come out with 2 quick td's and a field goal here and there as the defense holds jags to a couple of 3 and outs.
Final play Indy 3.5 unit - 2.5 (buy hook down) Total---Under Good luck all
