My # 1 "prime bet" of the week - Miami +3. As usual the team with the better record, and home field is the chalk. This actually a step down in the caliber of team, the Dolphins are use to competing with this year. I expect , and THEY expect to win SU here, as making the playoffs are a very strong motivation with time running out. Besides PR & stats clearly favoring the Dolphins, here are a couple of tidbits from my records to support this selection: The Jags are 2-7 (TY &LY) ATS after a SU win.Miami is 8-3 ATS as road dogs (LY & TY). And here's the "kicker": The Jags (TY & LY)- are you ready for this- are 0-9 ATS as home favorites!!

My Dolphins made me eat my words last week....let's see if they can beat a Jags team that they normally have a hard time beating esp in Jax.....
Our starting center Jake Grove was back but limited in practice...Joey Porter still out but Cameron Wake is a beast and probably better than Porter at this time...this kid can play but needs to work on his run stopping but excellent in the passing downs....Brady should know that as he should of let Wake get the sack instead of throwing that int to Crowder to end the game.
2 teams trying to keep their playoff hopes alive......
LET"S GO DOLPHINS!!!!!!!!!

the Fins are getting love this week as a public road dog. not too sure if I want to ride with the public on this game with two teams trying to keep their playoff hopes alive.
the Jags barely win against inferior teams and beat good teams when we don't expect them to. there's a reason why they are 7-5...i don't know how they are.
undecided on this game...still too early...

Im almost embarrassed to admit that I havent had a good read on my team all season. I never bet on them, but Im usually pretty good at predicting the spread.
In my opinion the most interesting angle to play is Reefer Ricky. He's been a beast this season (yes, he's better than Ronnie Brown). Still he has 87 carries the last four games and at 32 years old, I question how his body will continue to hold up. Not to mention he tweaked something last week, which appeared to possibly be a quad.
On the other side you have MJD, one of the top RB's in the NFL. Now, I already know what most of you are thinking. "But Miami has one of the best run stop units in the league? Without Jason Fergusan, Miami's run def. is not as stout.

I rarely wager on them as well....but I like Hilliard and hopes he gets more touches so Ricky can keep fresh. I stated the loss of Jason Ferguson was a big one about 2 weeks ago but it seems as though Starks & Soliai has held their ground as far stopping the run.
Pitts loss tonight will get both these teams very hungry for that playoff spot.
MJD will be a problem for our Dolphins to add to the fact that we have a hard time beating them every time we meet all the way back since Marino's days. Matter of fact I think Marino's last game as a Dolphin was via an a$$ whoopin from Jax via Mark Brunnel and Co. in a playoff game. I know MJD wasn't around during Marino's time but he is just another added factor to the trend.
Let's just see how hungry the Dolphins are to try and make a playoff run.

These teams haven't met since 06? The dolphins wildcat has advanced since then and the Jaguars have not covered once this year as a favorite!!
I think Drew-Jones is a fantastic back and Gerrard has played well the past couple of weeks, to my knowledge. I think this is definately a close game, with a chance for the dolphins to win SU. I'll wait to see what the ML is, but early lean is definately the Dolphins +3.

Jags have the Colts up next, they better fine tune their engine for that one.The first of a back to back home stand for the Jags, I think they will be up for this one.
McGrumpy's Jags get it done at home and keep those playoff hopes alive OVER McG (where have you been)
Hopefully lying on some Costa Rican beach checking out the babes...

MIA +3: while the Jags may be surging, their wins were off teams with losing records. The margins of victory have been low. The Fins meanwhile have been knocking off the likes of New England. Score: Dolphins 27-Jaguars 21 (2 units).

Our starting center Jake Grove is out for this one again but it looks like Porter will play in this one. Jax has some key injuries as well so a very tough one to call.
