Jets... or no bet for me

Should be a great game to watch, that's about it for me.  Just to pick a side it would be Minny + 4.5 or whatever it is at game time.  Jets probably win but don't cover.  Defensive battle = close game, IMO.

Finally the negative publicity is not on the Jets.  Too much on Favre and Moss to handle.  Favre's pee pee on the net, are you kidding me? That will mess things up. I'm surprised the Jets aren't favored by more at home.  I hate the jets but I think they cover. 

Last time Jets were at home, Sanchez exploited the Pats' secondary. Minnesota is looking no better, especially at safety (Mad Williams and Husain Abdullah). This is a severe Vikings weakness, and the Jets are also throwing Santonio Holmes into the mix Monday night.

From Tuesday, the line hasn't altered but going now up, from down, by a mere half-point. Randy Moss hasn't influenced the betting public to the point where this should go down considerably. Was readily assuming by game night, this would be NYJ -2.5. Not the case, and this seems to spell a rare underdog NOT covering.

Childress' Vikings have long been terrible on the east coast. Prime time versus AFC, and he fares even worse. Nightclub jitters, indeed.

Jets will cover here, with or without a bum Favre elbow. Revis won't truly need a double-team on Moss, welcoming a rematch from that one-handed TD burn when #84 was still a discontent Pat. This leaves B Berrian, and Percy Harvin not getting the ball quite enough. With that, I'd sooner lean on the Under.

minny will use moss to distract and farve will hit other receivers and tight ends. although moss has talent only one week to prep aint enough.

jets got holmes back and sanchez will click with him as well as others.

think is going to be a shoot out, would not pick one side or the other, just the OVER

All this talk about Randy Moss and only 3-4 people thought to mention that the Jets will be getting a Super Bowl MVP wide out back this week in Santonio Holmes, against a weak Minnesota secondary who will now have to account for both Holmes and Edwards.

Holmes will have more impact on this game than Randy Moss will, merely because of the fact that Moss  will be covered by Revis.  Yes, he burned him in NE earlier this year, but I dont see lightning striking twice here.

As much as I hate the Jets... Jets cover a touchdown in this one.

Both defenses in this game are great. The line is telling me that the Jets are only 1.5 points better than the Vikes. I look at the 2 teams and I just don't see that as being th case. The Jets have been rolling and they are getting back Revis and Santonio Holmes. The Vikes did get Moss, but unfortunately far-va-rah is still their pick 6 machine QB. If Carson Palmer taught me anything Sunday it's don't bet on washed up QB's cause they'll woop you. I think the only way the Vikes cover is if Peterson goes off. The Jets D is very very stout though so that'll be tough. Then again it is Peterson so it's possible. All in all it boils down to my distrust of far-var-ah. I like the Jets here.
