The Jets look like contenders... Line movement looks good, but something tells me the under hits in this game. May stay off the o/u...

Adrian Peterson is a wild card... One of the best backs in the game going against one of the best run Ds in the league. Who wants is more... Can Reevis shut down Moss "Again". Mind you, if you watched the "amazing" catch Moss made against the Pats you'd know that was the play Reevis came up lame on.

Call me crazy... Sanchez still worries me though. If the Jets QB is a back like Manning or Brady I'd bet my house on the Jets tonight @ -4.5. I just have hesitation putting a big play on Sanchez. I still like the Jets here, but I'll look around a little but more and come back.

still undecided.. but just a few thoughts..  sanchez tend to struggle against teams with a good pass rush..  jets in general struggle when they can't run the ball to set up the pass...  vikings D do both of those well..  Farve tends to play well in pressure spots..  think fathers death, return to gb..  and this whole thing with the jets employee is old news.. was reported months ago.. y bring it up now??  makes you say.. hmmm...

on the other side..

Farve looks old..  moss is new and probably won't be in as much sync with him..  jet will do the same and try to stop AP to put the pressure on farve.. harvin having health troubles..  Oline just doesnt look like it on the same page sometimes...  holmes back should give jets alittle more boost..  think calivin pace, and ferguson back is bigger boost to the D then revis.. once.. again... makes you say hmmm....

cant bet against farve, never know when hes going to have his break out. personaly lean towards the jets. however staying away from the side.

however, I like the total very much. if the ole favre shows up tonight coupled with the fact the Jets are a scoring machine against much stouter D, leads me to the conclusion of rooting for the over. 40 points shouldnt be much to ask for 24 17 gets you thier easily,

    How the hell is Brett going to concentrate on winning, when he's concerned about winning the sex scandal swirling in his head? Did Randy get enuff' practice reps? Can Minny's secondary even slow down the Jets receivers? What about the overwhelming stats in favor of the Jets? And on and on and on and on............

yeah, im with you guys.....but actually leaning toward VIKES ML

kinda tired of hearing about Vikes having a weak secondary.  where do these guys get that info from?  oh, must be them damn stat sheets.  yeah- stats.  same stats were telling everybody about Skins terrible secondary, and uhhhh Skins pretty much held GB in check and won.  Go figure.

Vikes are just as good as the Jets if not better.  Game is more important to the Vikes.  Everyone seems to mention Sanchez and how great he is.  Favre is rusty and old, blah, blah, blah.  Jets defense is so ferocious!  Yeah, so ferocious that they made Chad Henne look like Troy Aikman.  But nobody talks about Minny's defense which is really outstanding.  And as far as their secondary goes, Cedric Griffin / Antoine Winfield are far from being slouches.

Far too much emphasis on the Favre distraction. Then, at the eleventh hour, he says, "I'm going to play my heart out tonight!" More nonsense to influence the betting public.

NYJ have proven tenfold they can win with true team distractions - anything from jurisprudence (Braylon with a DUI - so what?) to female Mexican reporters in the locker room (has happened many times before, with very little media making a release of it). Happens far more than what any team would care to admit.

What remains is an uneven scale, heavily weighing in the Jets favour.

Adrian Peterson ? About past-due for a costly fumble. Randy Moss? Easing him into an albeit very simple Childress offensive playbook. Berrian? Still worthless, with no such connecting with Favre. As for #4 himself? When he's magnified, under a severe negative scope, he typically costs the team the victory (See: When he was in NY, getting torn apart in all media mediums for "coming out of retirement" - the first time).

The Jets have loads more in way of intangibles tonight, and Rex Ryan will outcoach Childress any week of the season.

NYJ show that they're bona fide, 'for real' tonight. This result will be well outside -4. Think more on the line of 21-13. Yes, I'll stick with that.
