New England at Denver (10/11/2009)

sooo you're saying the Pats are the more talented team, and we all know that no team in the league prepares like Belichik and the Pats especially against McDaniels and the Broncos, so what kind of drugs are you smoking to say you like the Broncos in this spot?

Can I ask where you guys get your offense and defense rankings?  I usually look at CBSSports.com but the data I'm looking at, maybe I'm interpreting incorrectly? 

There, I'm reading it to show the Pats as ranked 29th against the Pass, 28th against the Rush and 29th Total.  Is this incorrect?

If that info is correct, that actually would be quite a bit short of impressive, don'tcha think?

as i recall the last time these teams met it was in denver and brady was out for the season... guess what the score was 42-7 for new england lol this pick is too easy the champs are back.. so what if denver are not beaten.. they should have never made it with cinci. they got the luckiest touchdown in the world and cinci did not have time to recover

Is it snowing in Denver? Is the Game played outdoors?

Brady also been getting squashed - does this guy really think he has 15 seconds to throw the ball? LoL

I am feeling under.  Both coaches know the others play book in a sense, so the Ds on both sides should be able to hold the other offense in check. Denver has a pretty decent pass D so NE isn't going to start throwing unless their run game is shut down or they are behind by a TD or more (unlikely).  NE LBs don't look all that great so Moreno should be able to gain some yards to eat clock.  Den isn't going to try to win this game with Ortons arm unless they have to.

ok, lets not try to give out false information. it was snowing friday night but stop saturday morning and will stay cold but no snow throughout sunday mostlike. i know b/c i lived here. lets be honest, no one expect denver to be undefeated til now. its funny that every week i hear people say that denver is going to lose, they beaten no body, they are a fake, etc. after they win the game, people bashed how bad their opponent played but not how good the denver is as a team. all in all, denver exceeded my expectation this year but i think N.E will be too much for them. NE -3 would be my pick.

BIG PLAY FACTOR should prove to be difference in this one.

New England Patriots @ Denver Broncos

Is no news that for me QB Tom Brady will be one day in the Pro Football Hall of Fame as one of the best Quarterbacks in the history of the NFL. He his improving is game week after week and therefore, I expect him to play better than in his last game against the Ravens. New England (3-1) has one of the best offenses in the league, playing much better than expect in this season start and with the return of WR Wes Welker,  Brady will have again more quality options to pass the ball. If in the early season, the biggest issue with these Patriots was their defense and how they would behave against their opponents' offenses, now we can say that is thanks to their D that the Pats have already 3 wins under their belt. It is a young defensive unit, and they are improving their game week after week.

Denver (4-0) hasn't lost a game yet on this season and the reason for that is their great defense. The Broncos D is playing very well, causing a lot of pressure on the opponents' quarterbacks and they are getting a lot of sacks too, 15 already. Their QB Kyle Orton has been doing a nice season so far, but frankly I think he still has a long road ahead to become a good quarterback. Orton has 5 TD and 0 INTS, but he can be very thankful to his great quality WRs, which are doing excellent catches despite the bad throws delivered by Orton, with several low balls like I saw in his last game against the Dallas Cowboys. If it weren't his WRs getting all those balls with outstanding catches and we would see incomplete after incomplete passes.

New England is playing much better now, specially on the Offense and with the return of Wes Welker, the Patriots will have a broad range of tools to keep the Broncos D busy, and when Brady has that kind of options at his disposal, he plays much better, and this is for me the main factor for a fourth winner of the Pats this season, the first for the small favorite on the road, delivering the Broncos their first loss, and consequently both teams will finish the Week 5 with a 4-1 record. Take the Patriots to win by 1 or more touchdowns.
