CHECK OUT MY POST FROM EARLIER IN THE WEEK...DIDN'T TOUCH THE SPREAD THANKFULLY. TOOK THE PATS STRAIGHT UP AND SADLY TOOK THE OVER. ENDED UP SPLITTING THE DIFFERENCE. AS FAR AS DALLAS, I'M GONNA CHECK OUT THAT THREAD AND SEE WHAT THE PEOPLE ARE THINKIN...COWBOYS ARE MY #2 TEAM BUT THIS PHILLY TEAM SCARES ME. ESPECIALLY WITH ALL THE SHIT THAT ANDY REID WENT THROUGH. PROBABLY A SMALL PLAY ON THE BOYS TO WIN. MIGHT HAVE TO TAKE A GAME OFF THOUGH AFTER THAT ONE. DEFINITELY LIVED UP TO ALL THE HYPE. HAD TO SAY UNDEFEATED THIS EARLY...BUT WHO KNOWS. STILL SOME TOUGH TESTS AGAINST BALTIMORE AND PITTSBURGH.

If not for some of the bullshit calls I think the game would have looked alot differently. Penalties hurt the Pats. Sucks that most of them were absurd. Would have been a better game with better refs

Well they didn't cover, but they did WIN, so I'm a happy man tonight. Kudos to the Colts backers, and see you in January. These two teams will surely meet again in the AFC CG. But nrxt time is in Foxboro.
Can we now stop with the "running up the score' angle? They could have surely kicked a FG at the end but took 3 knees.
Randy Moss -- MVP of this game.

are you joking, Danstyk? please tell me you are joking with this ridiculous statement...
for the people talking about how the game would have been much different if not for officiating, let's remember it would have also been much different with the Colts at full strength... was bad enough without Harrison and Ugoh, but then losing Gonzalez on top of it all was a killer...
not a great game... both teams a bit sloppy... but still exciting... i hope we can stop with the greatest team ever to step on a football field talk until they actually get the ring... i think we all saw this team is far from invincible...
i ended up taking the Colts at +5.5, thank god... seeing that SD and Wash couldn't beat some pretty mediocre competition showed me that some of the Pats "quality wins" weren't all that quality, and tempted me to bet the ML, but played the side instead...
grats to the Pats, and to whoever had the right bets... i think a full strength Indy is still the best team in the league, so looking forward to the rematch later in the year...

You always have to disrespect, don't you? "i don't know how long you've been watching football..." Probably longer than you've been alive, not that it matters. Interesting how you are changing your tune now. Just don't use injuries as an excuse later on, because the players don't, and good cappers don't either. The Pats injury list was quite long in the AFC CG last year, and they have injuries today. Harrison has missed the last 3 games the teams have played. Seymour just came back last week and had 0 tackles in 22 plays.
Of course I know the value Marvin brings. But he is more than starting slow... he's hardly been there for them. The Colts have won without him and could still win without him. Why would anyone bet on a team knowing a key player has got a bad knee, if they really thought that player is absolutely crucial? This is not a new injury.
nice! you accuse me of disrespecting then proceed to do nothing but that... i asked how long you've been watching football because someone who has been watching long (especially a Pats fan) would have known 1) Marvin historically starts the season slow, statistically, but becomes huge as the year rolls along, and 2) he is especially a big game receiver, and has been a key player in the last 3 wins against the Pats... he is, when healthy, still one of the best in the game... and it doesn't matter if this wasn't a new injury, he was expected to play (or at least that was the hope) for this game... so this isn't about changing a tune or making excuses... with Harrison, the ML was a no-brainer... without him, the side seemed good, but not great...
i have tried to be patient with you, but between this post and your idiotic comment about how they could have run up the score, i can only conclude you are an absolute dick head!
my analysis of this game was dead on, all the way... even right down to saying that NE (-3 to 4) was good value, but 4.5 or more wasn't, and that Indy (+7) or more was great value...
so don't talk shit about my handicapping... all i have done this entire thread was to weed through the bullshit of people saying NE will blow the Colts out and are the greatest team of all time, in an attempt to objectively analyze the game, and a crucial part of that was the Harrison injury... so when you acted as if that wasn't a factor, i took it upon myself to set you straight... but all you could do is come back with more shit talking...
for the record, i've been watching football for nearly 30 years... and betting on it for 20+...

Don't ask me why, ask the league office...why was this the first game for a rookie referee? Pretty sure that's what it was. Biggest game of the regular season, pretty smart.
