with you here homie.... here's what I've got...

jets are an every other year team (one of many in the NFL) that have winning seasons every other year and this is their year.  things look good, favre in, brady out...  blah blah...

favre is one of those computer busters... he defies algorithms with his strange sense of magic as we saw he still has as of last year and even last game (the jump ball touchdown)

this is the jets chance to claim the division early and with no brady magic to counter act the favre bullshit, the jets have a clear advantage...

I think cassell will be good too, but every quarterback not named brady is a little rough in their first game until they get comfortable and cassell has to be anxious

If I could get the Pats +3 I would take it... at +1 there's no way.  I do think the Pats find a way to win, but truthfully this line should be around Jets -4.  Way too much public play money on the Pats... too many unknowns so I'll just watch this one.  I would also think it could easily go UNDER as Pats-Jets games often do.

One other note - Pats have won the past 7 games in the Meadowlands.

I dont know what to do with myself!! This is great.. NE and Indy almost PK's in todays games against 2 mediocre teams! Of course everyone is putting money on them.. your gonna be kicking your self in the ass if you don't bet them this week even if you lose.. its still a better play than you saying damm I should have just taken them what was I thinking. They're the better team! Yah so what Matt Cassell hasn't started since HS, he's been a back up at USC back up for Brady he's obviously got talent. Pats history shows what happens when the starting QB gets knocked out and the replacement comes ie. couple superbowls/division titles.. todays play NE gotta at least take em one time giving Cassell a shot.. they come out today with something to prove. Big game for them today should be close but they win SU.

Yes Farve looked good week one vs Miami. Big deal it's friggin Miami for god sakes!  Even without Brady New England will win this one. They will chnage their game plan and pound the ball. Throw high percentage pass' and good defense. Belicheck is a guru when it comes to game planning. Too many weapons on New England for Jets to Handle.

I am from Massachusetts and I am probably the furthest thing from a Pats fan you could find in this area.  I hate all the new fans that started loving them in '01 but they were all wearing Titans hats and Raiders jerseys they year before.  I watched you guys walking around in your Thurman Thomas jersey while Hugh Millen was leading the Pats to a 1-15 record in the 90's.  I hate how your dad has season tickets and you go to every home game and you have no idea who Bruce Armstrong and Stanley Morgan are.  I loved seeing the hurt on all of your faces when you got to see what every other team in the NFL has had to to through over the past seven years.  I loved listening to you cry about how it was a cheap hit and how he should be suspended.  You are the same ones that said that Seymour's hit on Losman last year was just football.  I am not, and will never be a Pats fan, but it has nothing to do with the team.  I will never be a Pats fan because of the herds of assholes that think the franchise started in 2001.

Whoa, sorry about that, I got a little side tracked.  As much as I hate the Pats fan base, I do respect the product they put on the field week in and week out.  Now, with Brady out, I think you are going to see a re-focused Patriots team.  Cassel will be fine.  He has a great knowledge to the system and he has a ton of weapons.  I think that every player in the Pats locker room realizes that they have to up their game because Brady isn't out there to put games out of reach anymore.  I look for the defense to come out strong and force the issue.  Lots of pressure on Favre.  Remember how Favre looked the last time he played the Pats.  He was shut out and knocked out two years ago in Lambeau.

One last thing.  The last time I remember betters lining up to bet against the Pats was last year, week 2, against the Chargers right when spygate hit.  The Pats put it all behind them and ran the Chargers out of the building.  I think the Patriots win this game going away.  But I am not going to the bar down the street to watch it.  I can already see some asshole with a Cassel jersey standing outside.  Fucking assholes.

Agree>> Pats are not the same without Mr San Mateo(Brady)
