New england -14.5 is ALOT of points.   I"m thinking...take the over 45.  Tampa Bay can Score.  I'm wondering....when will Raheem Morris get fired?     Jon Gruden could have done this.  New England likes to run it up (no diss for NE fans, but It's kinda true) and Tampa obviously is bad on D.  New england should have 30+ jus themselves and I'm probably underestimating NE. 
 
 
Tampa got LIT UP by dallas by 13, but trounced by BUFFALO by 13.   Uh, that should tell u something.  who knows...maybe tampa would cover.  But I would seriously be worried taking Tampa to cover anything.  take the under and

I know NE KILLED tenn last week, but for all of those long td passes, the guy was wide open.  I dont know if TB's corners are going to be that bad.  But at the same time, TB is really bad, and will probably only win one game this year.  Too hard to bet the 15 point cover.  I'm laying off this game.

I really think NE and BRADY are gonna squash TB, TB is a pretty bad team this year and BRADY has many dangerous weapons that tampas D cant handle I see NE wins by 20 pts atleast. Pats will kill TB no matter where they play at home in tampa or at wembly dont matter but GL.

Let's see how field conditions in London are this year.

Last year it went over as they adjusted a few things from the year before.

Remember the shit fest that it was and it fell waaaaay below the total? Just b/c they underestimated the size of NFL players. The field was torn up.

      If it were another team (other than the Patriots) , I keep my money in my pockets, as this is just an exhibition game in front of the Brits. However, I got to love a guy like Bill Bellichick with his take not prisoners, and pile on the points! So as much as I hate laying heavy lumber of 14.5, as prohibitive fav.- I sit back, like the English, and enjoy the carnage of a great team beating up on a shit team, for all the world to see!!

2008 Wembley game features Saints vs Chargers, final score Saints 37 - 32     Brees went 339 with 3 TDs, Rivers 341 3 TDs 1INT, LT ran fro 105 yds, Pierre and Deuce combined for 83 yds


2007 Wembley game featured Giants vs Miami in a rain soaked event, final score G-Men 13 - 10     168 total passing yds between both, Fish ran for 189 and Giants ran for 126, there were 3 turnovers

Hi all , I live 6 miles from Wembley ,and  the weather has been ok-ish all week , light rain , bit of damp in the air , but the pitch IS covered , as it was for last years game , the 1st years Miami-Giants game the pitch was uncovered , resulting in MudBowl

This could be a ballooned line due to the beatdown NE gave Tenn last week.   Cadillac could get going and chew some clock and when getting 14.5 the running game is your best friend.

There was a Tom Brady/Randy Moss sighting last week in a snowstorm. I think they continue to roll this week against a very bad Tampa team. I really can't think of one thing I like about this Tampa team or any reason why New England isn't the bet here.

Just an update from a colleague who's been at the Stadium this week

"The pich had UV lights across until 11pm each night. the roof which partially closes was closed to prevent some of the expected rain. The NFL has requested the grass to be longer than previous to 'keep the ball in play' "

Hey Dude,

The weather and the condition of the field were the first things that I thought of when looking at this game. These factors on a natural grass field can definitely affect the total, especially at Wembley.

FYI, remember that Dolphins at Steelers Monday night game in 2007?

The total was set in the upper 40's(somebody help me out with the actual number)

Heinz field looked like a muddy cow pasture,  it was a 0-0 game until Pitt kicked a field goal with 17 seconds left in the 4th to win the game. This game was the perfect example of rain + a horrible field leading to an under.
