Saints @ Packers

I'm forecasting this one to be close, but close could be 3 or 7 the way these two QB's toss it around. I think  that the Saints run the ball better this year. However, I believe Green Bay comes out fired up, when they see that Trophy and banner come down, they will remember how damn good that feels, a little extra gitty up for game one. This will have Brees dinkin', dunkin' and going long to open the run up and will be necessary to keep up with the Pack. Pack is much healthier this year and Saints have indeed made some good additions. Even though everyone knows the stats that unders rule in week one, this will be one of the overs, and an easy one at that. The books are also aware of the fact that the new "stupid ass" kickoff rules are inclined to keep the totals a little lower. Are they adjusting to it, my opinion says yes, or something is fishy here. No sense in over analyzing this one, your  offensive ppg's from last year are an over, and that's enough for me. Later in the year, these teams are both gonna have totals in the 50's more often than not.With the exception of late season in Lambeau. Have been waiting for this game, playing over 47' w/local 10 units. Think it should be 52 or 53 @ the least. Green Bay wins 30-24.

I think this is a field goal game. Ultimately, I think the Packers have the edge playing at home and have a better "play-making" defense, although I don't feel there will be much defense in this one. I think the NFL knows what they're doing pairing these two teams at the start of the season. I can't think of two better teams to start us off on a high scoring, edge of your seats type game. The only thing that keeps me from betting this one heavy is in my experience when all signs point to a high scoring affair, it generally comes in beneath the total. It's my first NFL play of the season and it will be a conservative one...

Both teams have bettered themselves from last year... Both teams can score at will, while also having opprotunistic defenses ready to pounce. I think this game ends on a field goal (either missed or made), possibly even in overtime. I like a teaser in this situation, because I feel like it gives me a little insurance policy.

Final play;  Saints +10 / Ov 41.5 (2 Units)

Getting rid of the rust. - some mistakes will be made and I think there will be less offense than people think.

The saints plan on running the ball this year and they have bettter running backs then year. They will be much more balanced than last year. Thier offense will be dangerous with everyone health.

Defense goes to the pack but I dont think they can stop that saints offense. The packets will be more one dimensional, since grant and starks are average at best. But everyone knew that last year and they couldnt stop rogers and company.

These two teams are very evenly matched, Ill take the points and avoid the team that just won the superbowl. I also think that the saints can control the clock.

New Orleans Saints 21 / Green Bay Packers 28.............late TD seals this for them, then again it could only take a field goal which means the game is an -under- and a non-cover. Worst scenario would be 24-21 road dogs.

As a Packer fan, I've been worried about this game all offseason.  Saints motivated after Seattle loss, Packers coming of weird offseason with no workouts. 

We get Grant and JF back, huge, and Grant has looked great.  But the offensive line looks truly suspect, again -- Chad Clifton was eaten alive by Dwight Freeney. 

I love Sean Payton's determination to rebuild the running game, and Igram has looked excellent. 

I see the Packers having an excellent chance to repeat this year, but I think it's going to take a Week 1 spanking.

Two excellent teams, talented, strong; champions and possibly the NFC title preview.  I go with the hungry team, and take the plus 4.

I like GB in this game , but straight up , 4 pts may be too much to give up , Defensive game here , not a score fest for the first game of the Season , Under 47.

or i like a 2 team 7pt teaser to be safe  , go GB +3 , and under 54

Gotta go with the pack! Finleys back and saints pass rush ain't shit. Brees could have a tough time against secondary and ingrams gonna have to do big things to make this a game. Oh and defending champs have never lost first game on thursday night! GL all and most importantly ENJOY
