COLTS IN A BLOWOUT!
The game is tomorow and I still don't feel like I have good read. Last year I loved the Cardinals and hit big on the spread and narrowly missed the ml bet.
This year we have Brees vs. Manning, it doesnt get any better than this. Sean Payton is truely one of the brightest minds and best young coaches in the league. It amazes me at how he is able to consistently draw up plays to get his wr's matched up against lb's. As I mentioned earlier the Colts defense really struggled against better than average qb's this year. That has to be taken into account by anyone looking to bet on this game. If the Saints can get their run half way going, I think they will have limited success, it is possible that they could put up over 40. Im not saying they will and I question how they will be able to keep up the colts. Previously I posted some good trends that relate to all of this.

I can't fathom a situation where NO is able to contain Peyton Manning. The chances are slim to none that will be able to rattle Manning. The Saints D is comparable to the Jets, in that they were respectably #1 and 2 in blitz attempts. The difference is the Jets are a whole hell of a lot more effective when blitzing and we all saw witnessed one of the greatest post season games by qb.
Now lets talk about some intangibles. Im thinking that about 2/3 of the stadium will be NO fans. After Katrina many people from LA made Fla their second home. However this will not be a massive advantage as it was the past 2 games, which I believe contributed to their sack and to totals.
One thing that bothers me is if the teams played in the regular season, does anyone think that Ind would be favored by -5.5? I dont and that leads to feel that this line is inflated because of their last games. Will Drew Brees come out with jitters again?
Also recent SB history says that this game will be close. The last 5 super bowls have been won on by an average of 3.4 pts (and yes I am not counting the Pit Sea SB)
Ive been leaning Colts for 2 weeks now and haven't been able to pull trigger.

"Me thinks yer predictions are merely mortal guesses...
only one way to know for sure......TRV"
I don't mind saying, that I know a lot more about that sort of stuff, than I do about sports in general -lol, so for me, that approach works. I don't use that group, but personally, I use that sort of thing. I'll be putting some tonight on INDY tomorrow.
Good luck to everyone tomorrow, it will be a good time, no matter what happens.

Are You Ready For Some Football?
Yes, you are right. They are mortal guesses. I know that for sure cause I have lost many a times in the past Frogs. On this game though as well as last week, I really gave it some thought on the possibility. you can't deny the #s I posted of its High percentages of happening knowing these two QB'S with their stats are its aliby solely and only aliby needed. The other way of perceiving this I guess, is that this is the kind of game I want it and wish it to be. There is nothing like a high scoring Super Bowl Game. Dont you think Frogs? I do. Good luck all.

i don't think that disproves it at all... the ML went up, and they offered a lower line but are making you pay huge juice... who is gonna pay (-130) laying 4 points instead of just playing the ML if they like the Colts? meanwhile, they are just begging you to take the Saints at (+4) and giving you juice to take it...
i mean... i don't think i'm trying to spin it... it seems obvious what the books want you to do...

When the Dwight Freeney scare wasn't quite enough, now Friday has Reggie Wayne with a bothersome knee. Influencing the betting public once more. Last night's eavesdropping at Venetian had many taking Saints with the spread along with the Over, in between Couture beating Coleman.
P Manning has gone a long while without a poor game. That's what first came to mind with a second Ketel One Bloody Mary. In the midst of a fourth Beck's, my twisted bend also sprung out the idea of a little too much of New Orleans exists in Manning's heart - no different than Favre, and that very poorly-timed interception, against the grain, when it truly didn't need to be thrown.
If the Saints are within a Reggie Bush return by half-time, I would prefer Sean Payton's adjustments over the rookie Caldwell and how he dares to maintain a lead. A battle of halves it will be.
As much as I'd like to bank on the Colts being more mistake prone, I sooner will claim cowardice, and (shamefully) hedge this one. Albeit with both little two-team parlays featuring the Under. Saints moneyline on one, Colts moneyline on the other. The ideal Vegas scenario is Indianapolis winning by 3.
Even for these two, eight TDs is no small feat. Neutral site, natural surface, and a little prospect of rain. Forecast is merely partly cloudy, high 60s.
Great fortune to all (as I skilfully avert the term 'luck'). It's been a brilliant post-season, and I'll look for most to spring back fierce by August.
In my near-inebriated brain, and that small black thing I label a heart (of hearts), I depict/visualize/predict an ideal Sunday: New Orleans 31 Indianapolis 23. A harsh reality backhand? Indianapolis 27 New Orleans 24.
Keep well, all! Be good - if you can't be good, be careful.
