Everyone stop with the weather. Drew Brees is one of the bests to do it.. True competitors would love the fact that everyone is doubting them in a cold city as underdogs!

I would love to know where the big money is on this game.. Brees/ Payton vs Rookie/ Rookie.. +3? Pleaseeee

Dallas is able to move the ball down the field on Philly last week, so can the Saints this week.

New Orleans has to avoid early turnovers and big plays from the eagles. If they can do that for the first half I think they will win this game outright. I don't see this being as high scoring as Vegas thinks but no play there for me.

Saints on the road +3 please

Teasing saints to 9 and colts to 7.5 as well today!

Has been a huge up and down week with the bowl games and looking to make a large move forward today. Good luck everyone

Saints...sure the Saints have been "awful" on the road but look at the losses, a fluke ending at New England then jets, panthers, seahawks, rams ALL teams with SICK DLines, which eagles don't come close to

I hear ya Quad, not attacking you...just trying to give an unbiased review of what I think will happened from someone that's seen every play for Eagles this year. After 14 years of Andy Reid, the green lenses have been in my trash for a while.

I think Vaccaro was a big part of turning around that Saints pass D and will be missed big time tonight. With Greer out also, that doesn't help either.

Eagles barely squeaked by Orton and the Cowboys!! And if you watched the game you saw the panicked look in Foles' eyes. Shell-schocked. And it is only going to get tougher against the Saints.

Better defense, better coach, better qb, and the points, and public is split. Sign me the up.

Foles did not look panicked at all in that game he was under severe pressure the entire time and did everything he had to in a won or go home game. Did you even watch bozo?

saints have not won a playoff game on the road according to espn...Weather will not be a problem here in Philly...Bigger problem is keeping McCoy from turning the corner. Saints rush isn't dominant, but they need to clog the middle too. Eagles defense is porous and Brees should have enough time to get the ball down field. Sproles will keep the defense from playing a dimensional game against pass. Brees is experienced enough to handle multiple blitzes.

Unknown: what trick plays will throw into the mix. Ron Jaworski for espn noticed that Brees delivery changes when he's in cold weather, whatever that's worth.

Saints need to do their job...unlike the Bears' Conti.

If Stafford could have held onto the ball, Detroit would have trounced the eagles.

Saints should win it..In philly might go off at 3.5

This game and the packer game are more than likely coming down to a field goal either way. IMO it's best to tease this game 7 points. It would be safer to tease the dog.

My play = saints +9.5 with packers +9.5 (7 point teaser)

That is the winning comment! I just don't think the Eagle defense is built the right way to dismantle the Saints offense to any large degree. In order to do that, the Saints offensive line would have to be defeated regularly throughout the game. Can't see Philadelphia doing that. Which leaves me with Philadelphia having to win a high scoring type of game to cover. Unless they get some gift scores, I don't see their offense keeping up with the Saints offense in playoff game. Payton and Brees are brilliant at scheming for and exploiting match up advantages. There's far too many possibilities for those between these two teams. I'm betting that New Orleans will not miss those opportunities on a playoff week.

If the Saints can stop Phillys run then this game is the Saints no problem. Like many say here experience will win. I have a feeling Mr. Brees put up a hell of game on this day. I'm liking the over more than anything. If I had to pick a side, it's the Saints but.........

It's Drew Brees and Sean Payton in the playoffs, against a rookie coach and (basically) a rookie QB. Just too much experience, and if it comes down to a shootout, just too much firepower, too.....

So much to quibble about on this forum, but since you decided to start crap with me I'll go here.

I don't know where (if) you do your research, but the Eagles have a better offense than the saints 6.6 yards per play to 6.3 ypp for the saints, or 2nd only to Denver against the saints at 5th per football outsiders. So maybe you should look into that stuff before you bet on conjecture.

Sure the saints have the experience edge but don't underestimate how smart kelly is. experience is the only real edge for payton. and brees s certainly better than foles (not statistically, but I get it), but the eagles have a ridiculous edge in the run game wth the number 1 rushing offense vs the saints 20th rush defense, conversely the saints bring the 19th ranked rush offense against the 12th best rush defense of philly (actually surprised it's that low, noone has been running on philly). (all per Football Outsiders)

Further while the saints pass defense is 6th they just lost their safety vaccaro and are forced to play roman harper who has been terrble.

Again I don't know where you got your numbers, but the eagles are the 25th pass offense, UP from the 32nd that they were 8 games ago and if you understand defensive schemes, you would know that they switched from a 4-3 to a 3-4 this year and these kinds of changes take actual games to improve and has begun rounding into form only recently, hence the improvement, so I think you are selling them short assuming that ranking is accurate and here's why...

FO lists the eagles as the 3rd best team in football (behind broncos and seahawks) weighted for recent play. More specifically though, teams that beat the saints on the road include the jets and panthers, both who have excellent fronts and highly vulnerable secondaries. Key element, they apply QB pressure (and forced turnovers). All phlly has done during the andy reid era is draft pass rushers and they are starting to get this scheme and have been very solid recently. Meanwhile, the saints just benched their starting left tackle for a rookie as they have had O line problems. Expect brees to be under pressure all day and with philly continuing to protect the ball at an elite rate, and create a lot of turnovers, one turnover could be massive.

this non home filed advantage for philly is stupid too imo. They came into the year on a bad streak, but won their last 4 home games, so if you want to overlook the improvement of a team adjusting to new schemes and a first year coach and a better QB (foles over vick), go ahead and blindly bet the public team. I'm a fan of making money and with the line moving to philly -3, apparently, sharp bettors are with me.
