I think this game is pretty simple. If the Saints go to Seattle like the Rams did thinking its going to be a cake walk then the game may remain fairly close. But if they walk in as the defending Super Bowl Champs and with some pride not wanting to lose to a 7-9 team then the game could get ugly real quick. There is only three reasons the Rams lost Sunday one they took Seattle a way to lightly, two there receivers couldn't have caught a cold on Sunday little though a football and 3 they didn't keep sustained pressure on Whitehurst the whole game. I think the Saints will grab a lead this week and bury these SEACHICKENS. I'm thinking a score of 31-3 or maybe if Seattle gets lucky 31-10. Just a word to the SAINTS don't take this team lightly play like its the Super Bowl and you will walk all over this team.

last week it was me and you on the Seahawks against the visiting Rams and we both hit.... I posted about the homefield and special team advantages that Seattle has... I believe we were the only ones in the thread on Seattle
This week I have to take the Saints.... Seattle has not covered as a home dog against good teams.... Falcons (dome team)...... Gmen...... KC.... they only are able to cover against bad teams.... the home field advantage is huge... but against a team like the Saints who can put up 20 on anyone, I just don't see it...
NO's defense is far tougher than the Rams..... were not talking a rookie qb on the road here, we are talking about Drew Brees....
I just see a scenario where NO is up by at least 7 and Whitehurst or Hasselbeck turns the ball over at a key time and hopefully for the underdog backers it doesn't turn out to be a score....
The only way the Saints don't cover is if it snows... even then I'm still weary on Seattle at home....
If this was a neutral field the line would be 14.5 and up.... the sharps definitely figured in the homefield advantage after last weeks Public Massacre.....
Willie, I have been following you all year and your definitely a winner, but I urge you to reconsider lol...
GL on whatever you choose
Saints Laying anything under 13 for me
27-14 final score

I forgot to add..... always very witty, funny, and entertaining as well
everytime you write quadimodo I laugh out loud in my office
Break & Easy - you can poke fun at me and laugh all you want, but the ladies think my humpback is sexy, and they like the fact that I have a secure job ringing the bell in the cathedral's tower.....
Anyways - I see that BETUS now has this game at 11.5. It literally went up a whole point in about 8 hours. By Saturday morning, with all of the general slack-jaws just blindly picking the Saints for no reason, that should take it up to 12, 12.5, or maybe even 13. That's when I buy the hook, and make it 14.5 - - maybe I'll parlay it with something, maybe I won't - it depends on the situation at the time.
And like I said before - they're still the "division winner" (and I use the term loosely), they're still at home, they're still an NFL team, it's still that loud-ass stadium in a playoff atmosphere, and they're still a double digit dog.......
As a side bet - what's the over/under that the camera pans in on that gaping, festering wound Drew Brees always has on the side of his face? - HA!!!!! I'm just kidding Saints fans, don't get your "Fleur De Lis" all ruffled up!!!!!!!!!
We'll see my friends - good luck.......

I chuckle when I hear how Safeco feild is such a hard place to play. seattle beat exactly ZERO playoff teams at home and beat the likes of powerhouses Carolina Arizona and SF.
Atlanta and NYG destroyed them at home. This is also the same Seattle team that lost by 2 or more TD's to Denver, Oakland, SF, and ST Louis.
I dont' see them all the sudden turning into a good enough team to stay with the Saints, the same team that just beat the Falcons at an extremely hostile Georgia Dome

SAFECO is a very tough place to score, especially because they don't have endzones and uprights there, just home plate and foul poles.
If you don't think Hasselbeck is an upgrade you might want to check out his stats against the Saints week 11. 360 yards and a TD isn't too bad. Oh and so you all know, it's supposed to be awful weather and you're taking a dome team that can't run the ball on the road in the elements in a very loud stadium. Audibles are going to be tons of fun for Brees. Tread lightly here, the teams that destroyed Seattle this year NYG, KC, ATL and STL all had dominant running games, the Saints don't have anything close to that.

You got it twisted.....don't you mean don't have the talent to cover let alone beat the spread....they're getting points !

There was only 1 reason they suck!

Well said my bradah! One thing that most people don't realize is that New Orleans Saints is still a young group of athletes. This team, as far as how they built themselves, was put together by Coach Sean Peyton in 2006. Everyone w/ an exception of 2 defensive players( Sorry can't remember their names) were traded or retired. They flew under the radar all year and that was a good thing. Key to this game is Coaching. Head Coach Sean Payton by far is Superior to the opposing coach and most of the rest of the coaches in the NFL. FUCKIN GENIUS! Who would call an onside kick to open the second half and got it done. Even the camera man was fooled. He will put right guys on the field and these guys work as a unit on both sides of the ball.I think this game is pretty simple. This forum reminds me of when the Giants won their last superbowl. Everyone including I said that the Giants didnt belong in the playoffs and we called the score every week that they would get beat by. Funny thing is all they did was win and beat the best teams including my pats : ( Im not saying that Sea will win the superbowl or win at all but remember these are the playoffs and just cause you are better on paper dont mean didley. Just ask Denver in 1996 and the chargers the past few years.
Saints no running game now with both backs on IR. If sea can stop the run and make the saints one dimensional then it will be a game. If Sea gets behind two scores then kaput. Sea and OV for the large!
