With a 1 - 3 ATS so far, the Falcons DO NOT inspire any confidence in me to bet this contest. After playing New England, how hard are you going to prepare for the terrible Jets. In the meantime, Geno is hard at work practicing his "backwards fumble" technique! No Thanks! GLTA!

Falcons ... Take em early before the line gets pushed to 11 ...
Just like Spinal Tap!!!
I'd probably either tease the Dirty Birds, or no play. Are the Jets that horrible (and are the Falcons that good) to warrant 10.5? Too much cheddar for me..... But, if I have a good weekend, who knows??? I'll check back on Monday.....
Good Luck All - whatever side you're on

With Atlantas shitty defense this can easily go over 43. Jets will get their share of points. Not touching a side on this. There is easier pickings elsewhere.

The only question in this game is how many times will Geno turn the ball over. I'm betting that he keeps it to less than three and the Jets will have a chance to cover but they won't win.
Predicted score... Falcons 27......Jets 21

Atlanta F'n STINKS, they are so overrated and over achieved last year. Matt Ryan has all these weapons and still cant win. Hes a Stiff, Stay away from this SH.IT Fest.

I agree MM. I'm showing 44 now. I'm worried about the Jet's lack of a serious RB making them too one dimentional though. Still not a cigar bet.

O.K. O.K. - just to start off, I do not live on Gumdrop Ave. in Rainbow County in Fairy Tale Land - but just hang with me a second.....
For Atlanta - - Jets "D" is pretty darn good (currently #2), S-Jax is still out, so there's your running game, Roddy White listed as "still not 100%", and Matt Ryan's looked more like Matt Schaub than "Matty Ice" lately.....
For N.Y. (and all you conspiacy theorists) - A win here puts the Jets in second with Miami and right behind the Pats, and who do the Jets have next week? Crappy Blitzburgh and at home. Pats play the currenty unstoppable Saints - - one Jets win, one Pats loss and then they play each other that following week in New York! Get your tickets for the "Battle For First Place" now football fans!! Obviously the G'aints g'ain't going nowhere, so do you think Roger Goddell wants to be without a marquee N.Y. draw heading down the playoff stretch considering the Superbowl is in New York?!??!?
look how much hype there is already - they even have a countdown clock on the site for God's sake!!!!!!
Now, back to tonight's game - money line on my book is +400 - remember, I'm not crazy (my mother had me tested) I'm not saying mortgage your house, but if you happen to have some money just laying around on the floor, this might me a nice High Risk/High Yield stock for you to invest in.
Or, it all blows up in my face and Hotlanta wins by 30.....
Oh, and 9/11 was an inside job - - Good Luck All!!!!

I'm a Jets fan and I don't see them even being competitive tonight. Take the Falcons on the money line and the point spread. Easy game. Falcons 34 Jets 10. Good luck all.

KC has a shut out, second half money on KC was through the roof
Same for Denver but twice as much on the full game and 3 times more on them for the second half, complete fix.
Check second half money on SEATTLE and N.O.
All these games were the only games to bet and they control each one point for point.
Not complaining - i haven't had to pay my bookie yet but making 1500$ on college weekly and losing it all on NFL is crazy. I cant be that bad of a handicapper for NFL. the action on NFL IS only getting bigger with more states starting to take action, control of the betting scene is imminent, no more of my money goes to the nfl. GL ALL
This morning REX RYAN was quoted saying " it isnt enough for us to just cover the point spread - we have to win", since when do coaches even mention the point spread?. Its complete bull. Maybe rex is the honest one giving one away for free.... It would be nice to see JETS cove tonight because of that, if they dont then basically hes corrupt also leading people to bet the JETS making him part of the scheme to avoid ATL BETS.

Given the last Monday Night beat-down the Saints put on the Dolphins, I would expect the betting public to anticipate a similar outcome when another AFC East team travels south to play another NFC South dome team. Especially with the Saints going to 5-0... This is now an obvious must win for the Falcons just to remain relevant for the wild card discussion. Well, as Lee Corso would say, Not So Fast My Friend!!
I would not expect the same result tonight. The Falcons have shown nowhere near the offensive prowess of the Saints this year, as they have been plagued by injuries and have yet to have a statement win with their only cover coming against the Rams (they barely covered that one). Their defense is also banged up, and fortunately for the Falcons, they have a bye next week. I think we will definitely see a better team come week 7, and I will probably support a play on them when their laying 10 against Tampa in week 7. But for now, I expect them to limp into their bye week with an ugly win.
Now when we take a look at the Jets, there is obvious risk when backing a rookie on the road in the Georgia Dome vs Matt Ryan. And I think Rex Ryan knows this too. That's exactly why I expect him to protect his rookie quarterback in this prime time, hostile environment with a very simple mindset. Lets play good defense, run the ball, don't make any silly turnovers, and maybe we'll have a shot at the end of the game.
Stop me if you've seen this movie before....the 2-0 New York Jets head into New England for a Thursday night prime time showdown vs the Patriots as a 10.5 point underdog with a 43 point total. The Jets run the ball on 33 plays, punt the ball 5 times, try to play the field position game all night, and end up losing a close one 13-10. It was an uninspiring effort, in which it felt like Coach Ryan was trying not to get embarrassed and cover the spread.
With Belichick giving a perfect blueprint of how to slow down this Atlanta offense by taking away Julio Jones, I expect the Jets to duplicate this strategy with Cromartie and over-the top help. I expect the Jets, however, to not be able to match the Patriots scoring from last week.
That's why I am taking the Jets and the Under.
My Final
Jets 17
Falcons 23
GOOD LUCK!!!!
