HARDCORE dallas fan here.  since 1981.   Gotta go with the GIANTS to cover.    Dallas has only looked like a great team for just 1 game this season..just one.  and that was against Carolina.  

My cowboys didn't even impress me in week 1 when they beat the giants.  Eli is playing lightsout football this season.   I'm looking forward to spydaweb's insight.  Watch out for Dallas homers.  They will tell u the sky is blue and green and give a good argument for it.  Trust me....Dallas will F*** u if u bet on them.

Why can't the Giants be the underdogs? They already lost to Dallas.

This line seems very fishy... Giants should be favored by at least 4.

The only way the G-Men don't win this is via stupid penaltys which they have shown culpable of performing.

 

      Spytheweb- you crack me up. How can the G-men be the dogs when you are always touting how good they are! Hell- half the bookies in Nevada know you love them. Anyway, I feel the 'Boys are a wreck waiting to happen. And this week could be that time!. The Giants seem like they are coming together, and Eli is definitely at the top of his game. I see a solid Giants win.

All aspects point to a Giants blow out.  But with a -2 at best, it looks like something is brewing to lure folks to NY.  Its -2 for a reason.  The Cowboys have a greater chance of repeating there performance from week 1.  Eli struggles again in this one.  Cowboys by 13

I am a longtime Giant fan and I like the matchup this week.  The Cowboys will be missing the production from Sean Lee as he recovered a fumble and led the team in tackles in that week 1 matchup. 

Speaking of that week 1 matchup, Dallas was fortunate to play against a very banged up Giants secondary.  The Gmen were going with Michael Coe as a starting corner, and he actually ended up getting hurt in the game.  Dallas was able to take advantage of the Giants 3rd string corner in that game.  Also, Demarco Murray had a big day against them too (20 carries for a 130 yards). 

Granted a fully healthy Giants secondary is still not an elite unit, but the Cowboys won't be able to score as easily as they did in week 1.  I still worry about the Gmen's defense.  It seems like they are a bit inconsistent.  I've seen them look great at times, but sometimes teams just go right down the field on them. 

One definite positive is that Hakeem Nicks, who has been banged up all season, has gone on record as saying he now feels 100%. I think the Gmen come into this matchup as the healthier team and find a way to pull off some Eli magic and win a close one. 

For Dallas to win, Felix Jones is must come through with a monster game.  Its definitely possible, given the Gmen's inconsistency, but I think Coughlin has done a good job of keeping these guys motivated...especially on the road. 

This reminds me a lot of the 2010 season when the Cowboys won the first matchup at Giant Stadium and then the Gmen won the second matchup at Dallas. 

I'm keeping my Joe Public hat on and going with the Gmen.

Just like the Skins beat the G-men twice last season, the Pokes repeat the performance this year. G-men looked vulnerable in that Washington game last week.

because the trendy thing to do for non-football fans (ie lots of girls and dumb@$$es is to blindly root for them like they aren't a bunch of cocky a holes and pathetic losers.  Not calling the betting public that, but like the betting public they simply don't know what they're doing...


as for the game, I think the line is about right.  Giants are only a game and a half up in the standings so they can't really be favored by 3 in a divisional game.  For reference, the also 3-3 Eagles are now favored by 3 at home against a 6-0 team, so this line certainly isn't inflated.

I booked the Giants at a pk before it moved all the way to a favorite game, but the two things that scare me are 1) tony romo always plays well against the giants. 2) since tony romo is never a good reason not to fade the cowboys...  I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would be the cowboys here. 

The giants are pissed, in revenge mode, and playing about as well as they usually do in strings of big games, and they've eked out close ones that they may have lost in years past (browns, bucs, skins).  It's on the road so they aren't laying many points, which is always better for giants bettors.  And while the giants are coming off a sloppy performance, the cowboys are off a win, two games after their best performance of the year since week 1 was all in vain.

matchups are heavy for the giants... O-line, D-line, QB, RBs, coach, big game pedigree.  Cowboys secondary is pretty good these days, but the giants left a LOT of plays (drops) on the field in their first meeting in the meadowlands this year and i just don't see that happening again.  Sean lee being out hurts the cowboys a lot and bradshaw should have a lot more room to run.  While Jones and tanner will be injured/are fairly unimpressive.

As I said, I booked the giants pk early, trying to catch a sharper side of the line, but my spidy senses are tingling here and I'm really looking for a reason to bet out of this one... something juts doesn't feel right about it. 

  I mean I'd look for it, but do you have any good reasons?  Being at home means, giants are on the road, which to me is a wash because g-men are better on the road anyways.

When is everybody going to learn what the term "division rivalry" means? It doesn't matter how the teams are doing, one team could be 13-1 and the other 1-13 - - doesn't make a damn bit of difference..... Giants/Eagles - - - Pats/Jets - - - Bears/Packers - - - Steelers/and anyone else in that division........

there's just waaaaaaaay to much public on the Giants, and the line hasn't moved since it opened at +1 for the CowGirls

Wow, it actually seems like most people on here are picking the Giants... I'm glad to see that, because they are right...

 

This is another game where you have to look at this game and the line they have put out from 'Books' perspective; The Giants should be favored by more than they are right now. IMO the Giants should be around -5 1/2. The 'Books' are just trying to sucker in all those poor, desperate Cowboys fans that think that the Cowboys have some kind of a chance in hell at winning this game. The Giants win this one easy.

 

This is not the same team that the Cowboys played in week #1. The Cowboys will never be a significant factor until they replace Tony person at QB and until they get a new head coach. Look; the Cowboys are a mess right now. They are the luckiest 3-3 team in the NFL. They should have lost to Tampa Bay and to the Panthers last week. They are also 0-2 ATS at home. They have no home field advantage playing at Cowboys Stadium.

 

The Giants are on a mission from God to prove that they are a much better team than the team that lost to the Cowgirls in week #1. And the Giants are just a much better team... I see Manning absolutely lighting up the Cowboys in this one.

Actually QUAD..Vegas will be laughing at you when this game is over. Do u think the G-men who happen to be a much better team right now with momentum, are going to lose to their division rival twice this year? Not gonna happen. Besides, everyone on this site knows the Gmen DOMINATE on the road. Eli is 26-5 in October and they havent lost at Dallas in i dont know how many years now..So all you nerve-jobs that are worried about this game, either take a breath and feel better u took Gmen, or just stop betting period. If your scared to bet, then your already F'd.
