The ONE threat the Lions have.  You have been watching the LIons on Sports Desk to much and they only show Johnsons catches.  Ever heard of a WR named Nate Burelson, Bryant Johnson not a household name but another good receiver, Jahvid Best RB Brandon Pettigrew huge TE and one of the best blocking TE in the league.   And with monster SUH and VANDEN BOSCH on D this team is far from one dimensional on both sides of the ball.  Matthew Stafford not a bad QB either.  Please don't judge a team by watching the highlights on TV, watch a full game of them playing and then tell me how one dimensional they are.  By the way REVIS is a big f.....g cry baby and i don't even consider him a part of this game today.

 

you know the rule, when everyone on wagerline on one team... go against them lol... the lions are a one man team offensively.. goodluck with them

Hey don't bogart the dube....thx bud.  Was happy for the Saints this yr as well. Wonder if the Browns will accomplish that in my lifetime...highly doubt it. Came close in the late 80's and that was fun in my mid 20's in the dog pound. As far as the Lions, they are hard to get behind but I saw a capper take them over Wash last week so I teased 'em and won. Today I like the Lions teased and the over as well on this quick turf. Small play though since the Jets have to be pissed and more focused. BOL

tpch - I know what RLM is and you are correct.  Not sure what I was talking about because 70% of the public money (yes I know that isn't an exact amount, but still a good idea) and the line moved in the Jets direction.  I think maybe because it was late and I had a few cocktails last night.

That said, the rest of my comments about the Jets being due to cover this game while the Lions are do for the loss and not to cover are still correct.  I LOVE the Lions, but this just looks like a spot in which they have a bad game and the Jets have a good one.

Thanks for catching that mistake.

OK...Usually...I just pick a side...but there is SO MUCH love here for Detroit....because the public is on the Jets??? 77% to be exact (at this moment in time)  But the line is moving in the right direction....opened -3.5 now at -5, and at some places -5.5.  So......what else do we have???

I am not going to come here and say Detroit sucks, and the Jets are the best.....Niether team is my favorite...as I am an Oakland fan (So I really cant talk shit with anyone!!)

BUT....The Jets are catching Detroit off a satisfying win over the Redskins (I took Detroit too)  However....the Jets have +1.4 Team net YPR (Offensive YPR minus its Defensive YPR) vs. the Lions -1.7 team net YPR.  The math works out to be over 3 net yeards in favor of the Jets.

Stats per one newsletter I have...

"Lions lose their roar as single-digit dogs when facing a .666 or greater opponent, going 0-7 ATS by an average losing margin of nearly 17 PPG.  With the Jets currently 10-4 SU and ATS away from home under Rex Ryan, Including 7-1 SU and ATS against sub .666 opponents."

Jets were stale off their BYE....as they turned the ball over in GB territory....and missed a 37 yard FG.  Their Defense was stout as it held Rogers to his lowest output in 31 games with 170 Yards (44%) but never forced any takeaways.  Jets will take a more conservative approach offensively and will target the Lions depleted LB's.  Jets are more talented defensively than the Lions #21 rated Defense.

I will be going with an Embarrassed road team vs. a supposedly "improved" home team.

If ANYTHING.....this sets up for the Jets...and just because the public is taking the Jets....the line is moving in the right direction.

You want to look at some games where the public favorite is getting reverse line movements??  Bills, Carolina, Cleveland, and Dallas.  These are the reverse line movements.....not saying all will win/cover....but these are the teams that the public is against...but the line is moving in the wrong direction.

I am a big Lions fan I do not like to bet on them but this is a different team from years past. This D Line is brutal. They will get pressure on Sanhcez and it should be interesting to see how he responds. The Lions O is starting to come around also this year. CJ is a beast, Best is playing well for being a rookie, Pettigrew looks like he could be a solid NFL TE and Stafford is throwing the ball well for the games he has played. I like the Lions +5.5 today might even be able to get it at +6 since I see some books already moved their.

I know my NFL record isnt that good, but I think I am going to roll with the Lions today. I like the D line for Lions and I think that will force Sanchez to throw the ball. Home dog too
