for Giants who suffered season ending losses the last two regular
season games including 44-7 loss last year. Giants pass rush a
nightmare for Favre or Jackson and the G-men getting healthy with the
likely return of Smith and Nicks on offensse as well as David Diehl.
The
Giants offense will be a machine in this game with the resurgence of
Jacobs and Eli getting his favorite targets back on the field. It is
getting cold outside in the Northeast but I look for the Giants to be on
fire in the dome.

Yah, he isn't the Favre that we all know and watch in amazement, with our mouth's open when he pulls off some crazy passes. Let alone, this guy will not stay down. If half the players on his squad had more of the heart that he has, this team would still be contenders.

The extra rest they got and the down time may have been exactly what they needed. We might see a revitalized defense that puts out QB's and have them on the sideline or the hospital. We will see.

The Giants just do not matchup well with the Vikings...
the Giants have never been able to stop the minnesota run game...
if there is one defense that Eli Manning has had a problem with, it's the vikings...
the 2005 matchup was when Brad Johnson beat the Gmen in the meadowlands... Eli threw 4 picks
the 2010 matchup Bradshaw had 7 carries for 13 yards....
Minnesota is home where they play very well...

07' Eli threw 3 pick 6's also. I agree. Eli has not played well against Vikings Defense . He is 0 for 4 SU against Minn. He has been picked off more times than any other team by this re-surging defense in the Vikes. This Defense is also very much in tact in all four games that Manning played as a Giant with the exception of Darren Sharper who then went to the NO Saints. Of course that was to happen with Sean Peyton doing the Drafting since 2006.
I'd like to see Farve start this game but I don't think that is going to happen. You never know. Tarvaris Jackson is 2 and 0 against the Giants and he is much healthier than Favre. T.J. is 65% in passing ratio vs the G-Men. Though not having a full roster they would like, neutral field or home, I like the Vikings to win SU.

O.K. Vue - I got Jaguars -3.5, Cowboys +4.5, Jets -2.5, and Rams +10.5 - - this game right here is the only one we both agree on. So I can now say good luck this weekend! For everyone else looking for analysis, here it is. First off, look at all of the key people coming back this week for the Giants - specifically Steve Smith & Hakeem Nicks. Secondly, how many more times do we have to do this song and dance with "Grandpa"? Face it, he's going to play (or at least start), and probably be limping around the whole time handing the ball off, or throwing short screens (especially if Harvin's out, with his "migraine" - gimme a break!). That being said, the Giants have the #2 ranked defense, and are excellent at stopping the run - so you do the math.
As long as "Gashead" Manning doesn't trip over his own two feet and fumble the ball they should be O.K.
