In 1969 Joe Namath guarantees victory over the Colts as an 18 point underdog. He wins the game 16-7.
July 6th 2014 - Geno Smith quotes "I feel good about making a super bowl run". Well I'm hoping he guarantees victory here as a 10 point dog and begins to make his run, because I'm taking the Jets.
New York - 16 New England - 7
JETS-JETS- JETS +10 UNDER 45
If Geno wears the white spikes, we got this one in the bag.

Tom Brady and double digit spreads don't go well together...
and you're asking me to give 10 points to a gimpy Brady without Stevan Ridley and Jerod Mayo against a hated division rival that is weak and backed into a corner? I know its next man up but on a short week there losses will be felt and I think it'll take some time to adjust
But the Jets have burned me each time I've backed them hoping that Rex will somehow turn this horrible team around. I guess this will be the final straw that broke the camel's back and if they can't cover another double digit spread I am done done DONE with the Jets Jets JETS
I think its about time another dog covers on Thursdays.. and if it'll be anything like last year's matchup in the rain at Foxboro I think the Jets will somehow find a way to be in this game. Patriots win by 7. Jets always seem to play the Pats tough at their place but get blown out at home
Jets +10 and Under
wouldn't recommend a ML play but I'm pretty sure it's going to be around +400. I guess it wouldn't hurt to invest a little in it.. people will call you crazy but you never know I guess..
Sip on that plus money honey!

Rain. Would solidify the over Geno makes huge mistakes on a 70 degree and sunshine day imagine the pick 6's with balls that slip. I think Revis might be likin his chops.

Rival game the jets cover because every year the patriots get too cocky against the jets and since the jets have hit rock bottom ryan is getting his team ready for their first division win and hopefully they cover the first time this year

Even with Peyton point-shaving and trying not to throw TDs, the Jets still couldn't cover +9.5 at home. But several of you believe they can cover +9.5 4 days later on the road, in a short week, and in a rainstorm?
Did everyone not just see the Patriots in prime time at home and win by 26 points against a better team coming off a bye?
I would like to hear from the Jets backers on why this game will not be a 30 point blowout? Patriots averaging 40 points over the last 2 games and made it look easy in both. Jets are worse than their last 2 opponents. The jets are going to need about 24-30 points to cover this spread. Does anyone see Geno smith doing that in the pouring down rain? No, the obvious choice is Patriots -9.5.

I'm with you here, two teamer Pats -9.5 & under, as I don't see the Jets scoring more than 13 points Final score 27-13

Youngup I beleive you mean Brady and not Peyton wrong team but I do agree with the rest of post. I do however see Geno throwing a pick six he's to easy to read and Vick coming in and maybe making it closer than the spread My bet is the over. Pats may put 45 themselves.

I told you why NE would beat Cincinnati and it had absolutely nothing to do with who was the better team. As soon as NE scored that quick opening TD, I knew exactly how that game was going to play out, and made an in-running bet of NE ML -136.
Considering the Broncos v Jets, if you erase that garbage time late Pick-6, the Jets would have only lost by 7 and covered (I had the Jets :/). At this point in the season, the Broncos are playing considerably better overall as a team than the Patriots. The patriots have been inconsistent and seemingly lucky to win against even the Raiders.
The rain favors the Jets. While it hasn't shown much this year, they are the team that base themselves on running the ball and power defense.
The Patriots have SIGNIFICANT injuries to players lost in the game against Buffalo last week.
This year the Jets have shown up most impressively against Green Bay and the Patriots have NOT SHOWN UP more often than not this year.
Rex Ryan's job is also said to be on the line this game.
The matchup has also gone OVER 8-1-1 with the one under game very sloppily played. More often than not, the Jets show up vs the Patriots.
I dont care what the weather is. Especially w/ the NE injuries.
Over is the NUTS
Jets win this game (+400) or easily keep it within 2 scores!

Mon e-pics never forget the beer nuts. The local pizza parlor specializes in craft beers. Buy by the bottle. Covers page is more messed up than the shocking picture of Ellen. Where's the picture of Gisele??? There must be some breaking news about her. Better eye candy than Ellen. Who gives a rats a$$ if Ellen lied. Those NY teams know how to get inside Tom Terrifics head. It could happen again.
