New York at New Orleans (10/18/2009)
we are both on the Giants....
Drew Brees is not better than Eli Manning....
the defense rests.....
Spytheweb.... 17-2 ATS on the road..... one of those games was that fluke MNF against the browns last year.... the other I believe was against the Vikings where they we're road favorites and lost on the Peterson runback...
that is a huge stat and you can't ignor that.

the guy has been picking winners this year....
this forum isn't about liking eachother, it's about working together to pick winners....
I'm happy you are on the Gmen also, but can you try to change your tone a little bit, just a little....
and if you decide not to, well than I'm not betting against you lol.....

I have a question.... how good is this Saints defense?
does everybody believe that a new coordinator and safety can completely change the defense around?
I personally don't buy it... I think they have yet to be tested....
let's look at the matchups
Detroit, Jets, Philly, and Buffalo....
now granted, they beat all of these teams, so at the end of the day the schedule put in front of them they have dominated....
Detroit.... rookie qb, decent offense, terrible defense.....
Philly.... kevin kolb, decent offense (McNabb gone was huge) and a really good defense....
Buffalo.... just lost to the Browns 6-3.... disgraceful (by the way getting 9 vs. the Jets ) I think Detroit is better than this team....
the Jets.... rookie qb, decent offense.... very good defense (or at least I thought so before Miami)
so they havn't gone against a solid starter..... like Tom Brady, Manning, Favre, Rivers, Cutler, throw matt ryan and schaub in there, Mcnabb, Warner, Hasslebeck, Big Ben, Carson Palmer, and the list goes on....
they have "shut down" 2 rookies, a back-up, and buffalo (lost 6-3 to the browns at home lolol)
.............................
now this defense is going up against one of the best o-lines, rushing attacks, and qbs in the nfl (Eli is top 10 let's say)....
in my opinion, the defense of the Giants has a better chance than the defense of the Saints of stopping the offense.... (i have gone crosseyed)
but.... we are in a dome.... where the Saints strive..... but so does Manning........
This core defensive unit has been to the big game and the playoffs for the last 3 years......
and now they are visiting a team that really hasn't made the playoffs except that one year when Brees first got there....
and the Giants are getting 3?
I love it....
plus you can't ignor that 17-2 ATS on the Road.... and I bet most of those they were the favorites and covered....
this is argueable the best team in the best division (maybe not this year) in the NFL.....
and they are getting 3?
I'll take it all day along with the moneyline....
GOOD LUCK TO ALL
I hope my rhetoric questions help some people out

Break a Bookie, pehaps you need a bowl of wheaties to clear the mental clutter...Your points are evident to the common mind of a child . Somehow both you guys amazingly elude my obvious point...Logically,if one makes a wager on the over ,as I am doing ,I am expecting ,hoping for a mild shootout ,points scored on both sides, obviously due to Saints weak defense n' Saints potent offense .With little common sense, one could expect GMEN to shut down Bucs n' Raiders, however I don't expect them to shut down Saints then again, that halftime under 10 in Arizona vs Pats blew me away, much to my delight.GMEN are that good BUT this is NOT a championship game ,let alone a divisional game and were still in the early part of the season ! Sometimes,It goes beyond stats, to be able to weigh the matter of importance of a game and clearly,
I am eating wheaties, and still don't understand how you compare the Dallas Cowboys to the New Orleans Saints... the Dallas running game is much better than the Saints running game... and your PR theory works with the YANKEES.... that's the New York team that the whole world loves to beat...
Cowboys and Giants are in the same division.... did you know that? they see eachother twice a year plus playoffs.... so they know eachother... those games are always close (when Romo plays) and high scoring.... can't use that game to cap this one....
The point I was making "to the common-minded child" is that the Giants D is much better than the Saints D and has the potential to shutdown the Saints Offense just like the Jets Defense did....
you being on the OVER influences my bet somewhat.... so in other words I am fading you.... now that you are on the over I should probably look at the under...
but the Giants getting 3 is just so hard to pass up.... so I'll be rooting for the UNDER, and the GIANTS
the GMENNN are going to look to control the clock and keep the Saints offense off the field, that's how they always play... and Jacobs is looking to prove his is as good as he was last year.... this game is more important that most people think....
