I find this to be the toughest of the games.  If Jets don't turn it over and are able to control the ball then we should have a close game, but if they get behind well then I could see this becoming a problem because I'm not sure the jets can keep up with the points

Great question BB. I think they can and will just on the angle they won't be afraid of Jets passing attack. I also think Norv Turner and Co. turn control game from a offensive standpoint. I just think the Jet defense will be on the field too much here and I don't trust this Jet offense. If Rivers and that offense is clicking, look for the Jets offense to be really under pressure and I just see the Jets offense, on the road making the plays they need to. I could be wrong........ Too much Philip Rivers and that passing attack for me.

THIS TIME ITS DIFFRENT....CINNCY WAS A FRAUD TEAM TO START FROM PLAYING IN TIGHT GAMES WITH THE LOW END OF THE NFL....SANCHEZ TO GET BACK TO REALITY IN A ROUTE AS HIS TEAM GOES DOWN FAST HE WILL HAVE TO THROW!!!! DIFFRENT WHEN YOU HAVE TO THROW THEN TOLD WHEN TO THROW!!!!

Here's what I think about this game..... being a JETS fan mind you....

I think the JETS are going to run all over the Chargers defense.... using Jones and Green, and the wild-cat....

I think that will allow Sanchez to minimize mistakes and use the play-action... which he as been running efficiently.....

On the other-side of the ball... I just feel like San Diego can score on anybody.... and they will be able to score on the JETS...

Also, Sproles returning punts and kicks makes me feel that SD will have good field position for most of the game... especially if Jay Feely kicks off this week (weatherford is supposed to be back)... Jets special teams coverage has been suspect all season long and Sproles is a threat to run it back everytime he touches the ball.....

History shows that these 2 teams score on eachother excessively... whether in playoffs or out.... based on the fact that they will be playing in warm weather, I don't forsee a change in that trend....

 

In my opinion... laying 7-9 points in playoffs is a little crazy....

In my opinion... betting on a rookie qb on the road is equally as crazy

My advice.... (if anyone wants to take it, I did have a bad weekend last weekend)

Take the OVER... sit back.... relax.... you won't have to worry about Rivers saving your backroll....

you won't have to worry about Sanchez throwing a pick-to-the-crib...

SD +7: It’s clear the Bolts will be passing the ball -- and the Jets will be running the ball. Jets CB Revis has been a shutdown corner this year, just ask 85.  Rivers won't come alive until late in the 3rd qtr, if the Jets can get a lead and keep him off the field for most of the first two qtrs, look for the Bolts to win by a FG but not cover. I'll take the points, Score: Jets 21-Chargers 24 (3 units).

     Coming into the playoffs, SD was " The Hot Team" out there winning all the games on the road and at home. I looked at their wins and I gotta say that getting in at +9 is a frickin gift. I jumped on it before it dropped and it sure did. SD only put a beat down on the sorry ass KC Chiefs as well as the "remember me Denver Broncos". All the other teams including Oakland Raiders by 8 points or less. 

  As the regular season went on so did Sanchez and Co. Last week, the Golden Rule " Never Bet On A Rookie QB " in the Playoffs especially on the road is a rule I saw outweighed by the determination and ability of Mark Sanchez in big games. I have watched this guy play his heart out in his Collegiate career and was very impressed. This high that he and the #1 Defense is on will carry into this game against SD. Throwing an incredible 12/15 or 80% in the playoffs is unheard of lately. As far as the Defense of the Jets, they too got better as the season went on and making a mark against Manning and the INDI COLTS.
    
    This game is going to be about who wants it more and I think that the Jets has proven to me that they do. Mix that in with seeking a dream 1st season in the NFL QB mentality and an awesome running game to set the play action passing game, I think Jets has a very good chance to win SU. Both these teams lost after their bye week and that is what SD is coming off of. Yes, it is true that generally teams that do come off their bye weeks do better the next game, but to win by 9 points when you average 7.5 all season, now in the playoffs against the #1 "D" is a big order. Too Big.

Leaning on SD.  I don't believe in the Jets right now.  Cincy is no different than Philly.  Over rated teams that got creamed in back to back games.  I wouldn't be surprised to see both Dallas and the Jets paking up the lockers on Monday morning.  SD and Minny a better teams in every facet of the game.

This line just keeps dropping. Started at 9 now is at 7 as soon as it hits 6.5 I have to bet the Bolts. Chargers are on a roll, killed a Tennessee team 42-17 that was playing real wel at the time.  They average 29.3 points a game over the last 10 +9 in takeaways this year.

Jets will lock Revas up with Vincent Jackson. maybe roll coverage to Gates but with Floyd and Osgood left out there that will be enough. Bart Scott is a bit banged up and Sproles may see the ball more than LT this game, thats too much for the Jets

Chargers -6.5, wait for it to drop or buy half a point

Its impossible to take the Jets moneyline but the Charger -7 seems like a lot...

Going with a tease here, Chargers -1 over 36

Chargers are too good and Rivers can lead the bolts on a late drive if needed.  Jets running game will allow them to still put points on the board.

I don't see the jets scoring over 13 points here, not with rookie QB Sanchez ... and I see the chargers scoring over 21 pts...Too much "bla bla bla" with the Jets defense, so what? they haven't meet a team like the chargers that can score you from every angle of the offense...too many good names. I don't see this one a match of defenses being a real factor...this is going to be a QB game, taking decisions, managing pressure, running the clock and Rivers has everything to beat anyone, he is the most underrated QB in the AFC....even Scifres can beat the jets with long good punts. Grab a beer , take a seat and enjoy a good football team in a good football game.
