SF -6 (1.5U)
- I need to grab the 6 now since it will most likely reach 7 or 7.5.
Hakeem Nicks out, Corey Webster Questionable and a host of other
injuries, Manningham playing against his old team, Alex Smith seems to
be riding the surge. While only allowing 3 points in the last 8
quarters, the SF D will be facing a higher calibre team in WK 6. I'll
fade the east coast visitors. However, if the spread does go over 7, i
may pull the trigger on the g-men to cover, but for purposes of this thread, i'll stick with the -6. SCORE: Giants 20 - Forty-Niners 33.

Giants have a lessor defense this year and no sacks last week. Cleveland had their way with the giants secondary so imagine what a 109 passer rating QB can do to them. Frisco will limit Giants to less than 24 points while San Fran scores at will. Plus they dont stop scoring once they get a puny lead like a certain box ass Texas coach I know of.
The shitty ass Tampa offense burned this team for 37 points if I recall.
Also,
Revenge from last year. Home field advantage plus East to West coast afternoon game.
I like Frisco on this game. Laying the small chalk

In being a life-long giants fan, I can tell you a key things. First, the Giants for some damn reason are a much better team on the road than they are at the mundane Met Life stadium. Second, their defensive line isn't playing up to their potential and is nowhere near last year's form. Osi and Pierre Paul have allowed teams to break contain way too easily. LeSean Mccoy, Michael Vick, and Trent Richardson had a field day running around these usually stellar defensive ends. I hope Perry Fewell's unit makes the necessary adjustments to prevent this from happening again. They did a great job against Carolina, but they have yet to duplicate that defensive effort.
Thank goodness the offense seems to be firing on all cylinders & just keeps on rolling no matter who gets hurt. The Giants offense might be the most resilient offense in the NFL. It doesn't matter who seems to get hurt (Nicks, Bradshaw, Diehl)...someone like Barden, Hixon, Brown, and even Sean Locklear rise to the occasion and seem to handle the pressure quite well. I guess it helps when you have Easy E at quaterback, who makes all the players around him better.
If Eli takes care of the ball, and the Giants defense can prevent Gore, Hunter, Alex Smith, and Collin Kaepernick, from breaking contain, then the Gmen will keep this very close. Their secondary has been the achilles heel also, so its important for them not to get beat with the big play (Crabtree and Vernon Davis could definitely exploit them downfield).
That being said, theres alot of "ifs" needed to happen for the Gmen to keep this close and possibly even win a hard-fought game in thre 4th quarter. That being said, given the Gmen's great history of playing on the road, I think they will not make any big mental mistakes, and keep this one close enough for a cover. Ignore the highly overrated "revenge factor". The 49ers haven't given up a touchdown in 2 games and look for that to end this week.

I marked this game on my calendar as soon as the 2012 schedule was posted. Without a doubt so did the Niners. When someone comes into your house, and steals your season from going to the Super Bowl- you NEVER FORGET! This is a major grudge battle and a huge revenge game. Couple that revenge with a "take no prisoners " attitude from Jim Harbaugh, and you have the makings of a high score old fashion butt whipping!

It is true that Giants are better on road. But Niners lost last year because of Kyle Williams 2 x stupid turnovers. Niners has been hot on both O/D and to beat this team and Jim Harbaugh twice on their home turf is tough.
Niners -6 for me.
6 pt Tease for Niners PK and KC +10. Might add Steeler PK to this also

Last year a 9-7 team vs. a 13-3 team on their home field and went blow for blow until SF broke. Last year NY also lost at SF, lost to GB but beat NE. In playoffs beat GB, SF and their home fields before beating NE again.
Pressure is on SF. If NY loses they still have to win the East to make playoffs. One each game against the Cowbillies and Eagles. NY can win when it has too, can SF when it really counts?
Good teams win games, Great teams cover the spread!

I think it goes deeper than that. I had an absolute LOCK VISION on the Giants to beat SF in that game. I knew they would win, no matter what happened. And it indeed came true. So, even though it was a close game...this was another "Illusion" to fool the average capper into thinking that this game could of gone either way...when in fact I have a feeling this one was rigged from the start for the Giants. They were the team selected by "fate" to win the superbowl, and it was their fate. Everyone thought SF would win, but who wants a team that could of easily been 3-13 in the superbowl? Boring. I know they wanted the Giants, I had the vision and it came true...lol
but all that aside, I DO think the 49ers are good this year. Much better than they were last year. Now their offense is clicking and they can get something besides a FG! lol SF was so overhyped last season. They had good special teams, as well as defense. But their offense and QB was less than average. They found "Lucky" ways to win close games, managing a fantastic looking record on the surface. But if you watched any of their games, most of their wins came during the last seconds on a fluke or lucky play. SF could of easily been 3-13 last year instead of 13-3. Anyone else notice that? It's right there in front of your eyes if you watch the games.

This season SF has proved already that they are for real. Giants are a hit/miss this year. I don't think they will go too far. Hard to win it all 2 years in a row. SF this year has a chance...
My pick is still for SF -6 in this one, but go lightly, as I do see the possibility of Giants playing them tough (just for pride purposes...lmao) and only losing by 3 or 4 pts (And someone else pointed that out as well...2 heads better than one, that kind of confirms my suspicion, so taking SF -6 out of my parlay just to be safe.

I think the Giants keep it close... they just match up well with the 49ers. But I'm only putting money on this one in a Teaser, and I'm not even sure about that. It's going to be a great game, but I think it's going to be close.

Did everyone taking the Niners just look where it said "New York" and just not look past that? This isn't the Jets - or Buffalo for that matter, it's the defending Super Bowl Giants. The "We play better on the road anyway" Giants. The "Next man up" Giants.
Nicks is back, and it was genius of Gilbride to release that statement about Justin Smith, because now Harbaugh's panties are all in a bunch. The Giants are up in his head, man - they own his ass too, just like they own the Patriots.
I'm not saying the Giants win outright, but I'll gladly buy a point, and not even think about this closely contested game

after all said and done the niners are the better team with the bettor records at home against a Giants team that can keep things close against equal teams. The niners are just not valuated equality in this one. So I think the SF 49'ers by some points, a td apart is nothing strange
