Ok the jets used to give the titans problems....not anymore....Albert Haynesworth will have a field day against Jet Favre with Kyle Vanden Bosch returning on the D-Line...PS Jeff Fisher parachuted into practice to get the team alert and change thangs up...now thats a hell of a coach....The Titans 11-0 will meet the lions 0-11 on thanksgiving and will be the first time 2 teams with these records have ever met in NFL....Titans 12-0...Thankful

God, I love this game! First of all the Jets are not a really good football team....the Titans are.

Second...Favre is due for one of his implosions...meaning a number of picks which is what the Titans do really really really well.

Third, this game is at home for the Titans and they are damn tough at home.

The Titans by 10 or more.

This line seems about 2-2.5 points too high.  Which means most of the public will jump on the Jets.  Which means I like the Titans in this one.  The Jets have been on a hot streak right now, but haven't faced a defense like the Titans.  Kerry Collins has been steady, and with the dominant Titans running game, the defense will be on the field for quite a while, which has been the determining factor in the Jets recent wins.  In each of the four wins, the Jets have won the time of possession fairly easily.  In their 3 losses this season they have lost the time of possession as well as given up OVER 100 yards rushing.  Two things the Titans do VERY well is control the clock, and rush for over 100 yards.  They will do that again tomorrow.

Well...I read three posts, then saw Pokinsmot's avatar, and cannot remember any of the rest of the posts.  Holy cow man.
 
Regardless...I am on the Jets here.  Agree...Leon will set up good field position, and the Jets D will force an air attack from the Titans, which will not win the game for them.  If Brett can keep from thowing to the other guys, the Jets are set up well to compete in this game.

Like the New York Bretts here. I think that the Tennessee D is due for a bad, subpar game. Their D can only carry them so far and Kerry Collins is bound to make a couple of mistakes any day now. I'm sure they're also somewhat concerned about the short week they're on, even though they play Detroit. Titans have also been somewhat healthy all year. Wouldn't be surprised to see a big injury here. Just a feeling

You have to admit that it's about time Farve screws up and lets everyone down.
It looks to easy to take Farve with points the way he has been traveling to great teams and beating them on their own turf. He's got everyone thinking he will be the one to take down the mighty Titans but I don't think this is the play.
3 winss on the road in a row is too many and the titans aren't going to turn the ball over as much as the jets to begin with, never mind Farve in one of those loose cannon games.

As of now I'm feeling Titans -5.5

I'm thinking Titans myself, but this concerns me:

  • Jets are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings.
  • Road team is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings.
  • Underdog is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings.

NY Jets +5.5 - I'm a Jets fan, so it's tough for me to bet them here. But... I like money and I feel strongly that this is a great spot for them. Unlike most, I've actually been on the Titans the last few weeks (I learned my lesson early in the year). However, the Jets match up well against this Titans team. Their O line will allow them to run the ball and their D line can stop the Tennessee run. That means Collins will have to make things happen. Titans may win, but it will be close. Take the Jets...

After reading all these posts yours is on of the few that actually makes sense. The Jets are coming off a huge win where they nearly blew a big lead.

No one ever gives Kerry Collins the credit he deserves. He manages the game as well as anyone...sure, he know Brett Favre when its comes to stats but he is a veteran QB that can lead this team to a ATS victory. Don't be concerned with historical data when it comes to either of these teams. IMO the Jets struggle against the TITANS Def on the road. I look at this line and think if the Jets where as good as everyone implies than the line would be closer to 3 or 3.5... A great deal of the public will all over the Jets especially after their nice cover on the road last week and everyone believing the Titans can't be this good.

Jets +5.5 (1 unit) and ML +210 (1 unit to win 2.1) vs. Titans - I've lost 3 units so far going against the Titans the last 2 weeks, we'll keep with the trend and continue no matter what.
