The Cowboys already beat the Eagles in Philly and now they are playing at home with the NFC East on the line, i look for the Cowboys to play a great game on both ends of the ball, this will be a great game and I see Dallas winning it 27-24.
They played that last year's game with a playoff game on the line and 44-6 happened.
Cold hard football facts:
Philadelphia at Dallas (-2.5)
The playoffs start a week early for these two
long-time Glamour Division rivals, in what is easily the biggest game
of Week 17 in an NFL season that’s fizzling at the end.
Dallas won the first meeting, 20-16 in Philly,
but the Eagles have soared in the weeks since, with six straight wins
since their back-to-back losses to the Cowboys and Chargers in
November. The Philly offense has been explosive, too, with an average
of 31.2 PPG in the six victories.
The Cowboys have had a much tougher road over
the same period, with a narrow win over the Redskins (7-6) and
back-to-back losses to the Giants (31-24) and Chargers (20-17) before
handing the reeling Saints their first loss of the year (24-17) and
then spanking the Redskins last week (17-0).
But the Eagles have the antidote, namely the NFL’s
second-ranked Defensive Hogs:
No. 8 against the run (3.93 YPA), No. 3 at forcing Negative Pass Plays
(11.22%) and first in third-down defense (they stop opponents on 67.3%
of attempts).
The Eagles, in other words, will find more holes
to exploit than the Cowboys. Philly captures the division crown and
becomes a serious contender to claim the conference title, too.
