Dammit Spy...I hate to say it...but ur rite. DIEHARD dallas fan here...since....blah blah blah.
Eagles represent the height of INCOMPETENCE. after failures with Randall Cunningham, Mcnabb, and now Vick it makes me wonder if they are the affirmative action organization. yeah...I said it. and I'm black so don't come with the racist crap. a 100 mill contract for vick?!?!!? really?!?!!?
I would play the over. This game could go both ways on the spread...but if I had to lean...I would say Philly to cover. It's hard for Dallas to blow out anyone these days. no matter how much they stink.....

Philly has been consistent in divisional games under Andy Reid. As bad as they are playing right now, they will win this game out right. The loss of Babin's piss poor attitude and playing, along with the spark Brown provided will push them into a win.

I hate both these teams, but they Eagles have totally quit. The Cowboys have there own problems, but still have the best talent (Romo, Bryant, Ware, Claiborne) on both sides of the ball. The Cowboys throttled them by more than 2 TD's less than a month ago in south Philly, are still vying for a playoff spot, and will benefit from extra time since the Thanksgiving day game. 10 is a lot of points, but there is no way I'm betting on the Eagles...lean Cowboys.

im not crazy about laying double digits with cowgirls, but if there is any team in the NFL that these cowgirls would love to destroy - it's the Eagles. and boy - after watching this team last Sunday vs. Panthers, i dont want nothin to do with them. their defense seems to be "lost" and that's not good for Romo & Co. who will be well-rested and wanting to bounce back after that Turkey Day embarrassment vs. RG3's Skins. i wonder how many dumb philly fans are still wishing nick foles would be the starter? you know - those same drunken dummies that were screamin for Vick to be benched / replaced by foles. i know it's early in his career and he hasn't had much experience, but from what ive seen - nick foles SUCKS. he couldnt hear footsteps to save his life, so i see him coughing the ball up a few times vs. Dallas.
Cowgirls minus wutevs

I think it might be time to put on the Joe Public manties and take the Cowboys for some small action. The Eagles have definitely packed it in. When playing for a lame duck coach and your season is all but over, certain things start to happen. First, the front office wants to see what the younger guys are made of, and they start thinking about next years draft and free agency. Winning becomes a lot less important. Of course Vick and McCoy haven't passed the "concussion tests". What's the point of putting any extra miles on McCoy with the season over? Telling the media they haven't passed the tests is just a sneaky way of seeing what Foles and Bryce Brown are made of. Second, the players focus more of their attention on their individual performance as opposed to winning. They are auditioning for their jobs next year.
The cowboys, on the other hand, as pathetic as they were last week, are still playing for something. A win gets them back to .500 and they just got embarassed at home on Thanksgiving. Which brings me to my next point; the Cowboys will be the fresher team as the Eagles played on Monday night. Not to mention, Dallas went into Philly earlier this year and beat the Eagles by 15 points. Granted they caught some lucky defensive and special teams scores that game.
We've also been hearing a lot of talk about Bryce Brown's debut last week, but 65 of those 179 yards came on a gimmick direct snap play that probably won't fool anyone this Sunday. What I find interesting is that all these fantasy nerds on ESPN keep talking about Brown being the next big thing. No one seems to be talking about the long awaited return of Demarco Murray, who I think will provide a much needed spark.
I look for Dallas to take out some frustration from last weeks dissappointing loss and get off to a fast start. Something they haven't been able to do all season.

JoeDaddy i hear what ur sayin. Unfortunetly im an eagles fan. The eagles lack heart big time. Firing Castillo made no sense either. Nnamdi Asomugha should be sentenced for fraud. Hes THE most overrated player at the CB position in the league by far. Hes terrible.
I cant say Nick Foles sucks yet. (Btw, I also think Vick should be the starter). The team pretty much has given up, and having 4 of your starting 5 offensive lineman Hurt does not help the kid either. Hes in a bad place right now so we need to see more of him. Nobody realizes how bad the loss of eagles LT Jason Peters for the season has hurt them all year as well. Hes widely regarded as the best LT in the game. Any smart fan knows how important the LT is to a franchise.
As for the season, yea the birds folded and Andy is headed home to San Diego next year. But as for the game, I truly think the birds cover this large divisional spread at +10.5...The D-line will come out strong and get to Tony Romo...ALOT. Remember where ya heard it from. BIRDS +10.5

Eagles played better than i expected. I don't like the Cowbillies. What have they done in 16 years?
Always take the dog and double digits.
I always said it would be a "cold day in hell", when I agreed with your logic, but here I am, in a cold sweat about to make the sweetest bet I ever phoned in!

I'm also a Dallas fan and understand this rivalry as good as anyone.
Dallas is now at home with playoff hopes, the Eagles season is over and their without McCoy. The Cowboys have played most games from behind this year, but I don't see them getting behind early in this game. They were a fingertip away from overcoming a 24 point deficit to NY just a few weeks ago. They should control this game from start to finish, and while I think 10 is the right number, I think this will be a game the Cowboys can finally put it together from start to finish.

The eagles playoff hopes were over weeks ago. However all these players in the NFL are professionals. When they stop playing at a certain level needed to compete, they soon will become replaced. No man desires to be replaced by another man. With that in mind look for the eagles to compete against the cowboys this sunday. Not for a chance to get in the playoffs and win the Superbowl but rather a chance to still wear a professional uniform. A chance to be invited back to camp next fall.

been piling on philly downfall latley... i think the cowboys have a chance for the blowout... whereas the eagles can only hope to keep this one within the number...
cowboys -10 smalls ... pile on the philly downfall (injuries too)

That is a good point that I probably overlooked. I always take 5 games a week, and maybe I'll swap the Cowboys with the Titans.
That being said, I still can't bring myself to endorse the Eagles in this situation. Just because they're playing for their jobs doesn't mean they'll play a competitive game (as we saw last week at home versus Carolina). Most of us know that Dallas hasn't put together a complete game at home yet all season. Their 2 wins have come against the Bucs and the Browns and both of those games were decided by 6 points or less. Earlier in the year, they got embarrassed by the Bears on Monday night, and their last 3 home games are of the most interest to me. Let's take a look:
-Week 8: They go down 23-0 to the Giants and almost come back to win the game (Dez Bryant's finger was out of abounds on the possible game-winner). They fail to cover and lose a heartbreaker 24-29.
-Week 11: They go down 13-0 to the Browns and come back to win that game by scoring 17 points in the 4th quarter. They don't cover, but win 23-20 in overtime.
-Week 12: Against the Skins, they go down 28-3 in the first half and outscore the Skins 28-10 in the 2nd half. But still lose 38-31 (and they obviously don't cover).
This team hasn't covered a home game all season!! Sounds like a great reason to take Philly. But as they say on Wall Street, past performance is not indicative of future returns. I think that trend of coming out flat and then playing great in the 2nd half gets broken on Sunday night. My prediction is Dallas plays great in the 1st half and that the rookie QB won't have the answer in the 2nd half.
Vegas has cleaned up on Cowboys backers this year...BUT they have absolutely crushed Eagles backers!!! Andy Reid's team is 1-9-1 ATS this season! My database is telling me I should watch Boardwalk Empire instead of this miserable game.

Boardwalk Empire is a great show. DVR it and watch it later. 1-9-1 ATS is correct and the line setters know that people will jump on the other side of that trend which I don't see continuing any longer. I can see cowboys winning by no more than 9 points. Eagles cover and Foles will impress some heads on sunday night. Strong arm and big 6'5, 250 frame can be hard to bring down.
