Philly blitz packages are too strong for this team...peterson gets shut down so do the vikings...eagles BIG

McNabb isnt the same on the road and I think Philly should control Minnys offense. Tough to choose a side but leaning eagles...
My prediction:

The most similar team to the Vikings is the Ravens, great run D's and run-oriented offenses, and that was the game when Mcnabb really sucked and got benched. However, the biggest question mark here is if Pat Williams will play or not. That really could be the difference in a good matchup here. I think it could go either way. Jackson is not nearly as bad as he used to be, and you have to careful blitzing a guy who can run like him, that could lead to a few gimme first downs on scrambles.  The TE is huge against the blitz as an outlet, and Shiancoe is on fire lately. Berrian has been making big plays.
 
Westbrook will have success if there is no Pat. With Pat the Eagles will be forced to pass 40+ times and I can see some turnovers happening there.
 
Peterson will have some success, but it depends if Jackson can handle the blitz and if Pat plays.
 
I wouldn't put any money down until I know his status.

Fate points to a deep run and with the exception of the Redskins game, McNabb and the Eagles have looked great.  
 
One thing you can't measure is experience and the Eagles have loads of it.  The QB and RB from the Vikes haven't played a single playoff game.  They will learn their first lesson come this Sunday.

i'm not a fan of laying road points in the nfl (esp in the playoffs) but i have to in this spot for one very simple reason.
 
with my money, i trust mcnabb>jackson any day of the week.

The Mcnabb>Jackson comparison is going to play a role in many bets.  I'm personally leaning Eagles myself.  I don't think Peterson can do it alone, and I'm not sure he'll get too much help.  Maybe defense and special teams can help the Vikings like they always do.  Vikes play some ugly close games.

I agree.  This reminds me too much of the season that Jeff Garcia led Philly to like the 2nd round about 2 or 3 years ago.  maybe 2 years ago.  THen when Philly beats Minn (Dallas fan who is actually rooting for Philly against Minn for various reasons) everyone is going to jump on the bandwagon and put Philly in the SB.  I will be glad when Philly loses the 2nd round.  actually I really don't like either team.  I'm a lil torn on this one. 
 
 
All I know is Tavaris Jackson is my favorite overated running qb right now.  (my mayne man Vick is gettin out fo the 09, punt return/rb/wr specialist here we juice) and Vince Young is collecting rust on the bench.  Unless you just have a Tjack/Adrian Peterson  jones I don't see how anyone could lay their hard earned money on the Vikes.  At least play the over if you have any doubts.

I have to take minnesota here-they beat caroluina;saints arizona and giants only good teams phil beat were pitt ariz and the giants-if you are unsure just take an over here

EAGLES just caught lightning in a bottle! They have all the confidence in the world right now and are healthy. This team is going to come out confident and make plays on both sides of the ball. Their defense has been making plays all year and now the offense is coming together thanks to a balanced attack. Just ask Brian Dawkins what he thinks about this game coming up on Sunday; I know I would not want to be Tavaris Jackson!

The Eagles can put the season behind them b/c now they are in the playoffs. I just don't see the Vikings keeping up with the Eagles Offense & I am not putting my money on Tavaris Jackson against the Eagles Defense!

Vikes are #1 against the run, which will force Philly to do what they do best, and what Fat Andy loves to do the most... AIR IT OUT!!  The Eagles cover this easily.  The pass D of Minny is not that good.  Purple Jesus aka Adrian Peterson is the real deal, but would you or do you trust Tarvaris Jackson against the likes of Brian Dawkins who made Romo look like the person that he is .

I'm not exactly jumping on Minnesota's bandwagon but i want to point one thing out.  Vegas makes a lot of money by having people bet according to what happened the prior week. 
 
I have a feeling the one thing the philly backers are thinking most about is the drubbing they laid on Dallas last week.  But nobody is remembering how inconsistent they were all year or the 10-3 loss to washington only 13 days ago.  Philly backers be careful this isn't a gimme.

The Vikings will win this game. Do not get sold on the Eagles, they played terrible vs the skins and bareley beat the Browns at home. Dallas handed them the game on a silver platter. The Vikings D will shut down that Westbrook driven offense. Take a peak Vegas has the Viking as favorites.

I expect a close game due to Minny's running game & line play.

But a lot of close games are decided by QB mistakes, I know which one I trust less in this spot.

This will actually be a good game that comes down to a classic matchup.  John Runyan vs. Jared Allen, if Minn can't get a pass rush they will be in for a long day.  If Allen is reaking havoc in the backfield McNabb's timing will be off and he'll look like he did against Washington two weeks ago.  On the other side of the ball it will surprise nobody that AP will get 35 carries and Taylor will probably get another 12.  Watch out for the run blitz cause we all know it's coming.

So true philly seems like the easy pick and Ive learned in gambling when something looks to be good to be true...it aint!!! NO PLAY, unless you have balls to take vikings....
