Steelers +9 ? dats sum crazy shit. Dixon is no Ryan Leaf. Dixon can play. tough situation to come into having not played yet sure. But he did look good in preseason play.  -9 has to make the steelers feel like chumps. injuries or not!!

I'll take the points on sun nite football tv.

Nearly every dog kicked ass at the one's today! Holy friggin shit! Next week will take points in every game!

Other thoughts...

Jake Delome should finally be replaced next year. He's trying to break Farves interception records!

The REFS are out of control. Several terrible calls today in various games.

Baltimore will find a way to keep this close as they always do.

 

Man... When you win bet more... when your losing bet less. Glad I took my winnings out weeks ago. Not much in predictability if college or pros for the last 3 weeks. Will continue to bet small till the waters clear. Bring on bowl season!

I think Dixon will be able to manage the offense pretty well and maybe make a play or two.
9 is a whole lot to give a division rival in a primetime game.

Over 34.  Banged up or crappy defenses however you look at it.  Throw in Mendellhall, Ward, Mason, Rice and Flacco, there are still some offensive weapons available.  We've seen how the Steelers D plays without Troy.  While Baltimore seems to get easier to score on each week.

If Dennis "Chicken Legs" Dixon is playing, I'd expect nothing less than the 3rd string to come in after Ray Lewis snaps him in half.  The Ravens need a win in this situation to stay in the playoff hunt.  The Birds come out firing in the first half.

Steeler D is just to good to lose by 9 to Baltimore.  Steelers cover +9

As a professional Sports Invester, games like this don't come along very often.  The Public has extremely misjudged the Steeler Defense and driven the line to a laughable number.  This is my largest wager of 2009 and the closest thing to a LOCK

Did some research on Dixon.  As it turns out, when he isn't injured, he is a phenonmenal QB.  He was initially drafted to play baseball back in 2007.  But he came back to Oregon for his senior season and lead them to some incredible wins.  This guy is no doubt as fast as lighting and can cannon the ball through the air.  Baltimore probably hasn't been practicing for this style QB because after all it's his first start so you don't know what to expect.  What I can expect is this will be a close game like history tells.  History also tells Steelers won three times against Baltimore last year.  Big difference this year is the Raven's Defense, especially on the run.  That's not good when the guy taking the snaps could be one of the fastest players on the field.  Don't forget about Mendenhall, he has way surpassed expectations.

That was college football.  You can't use that to judge how Dixon will do in the NFL.  You're looking at Ravens D that will be showing him all kinds of different looks to try and hide the stunt rush, blitzes and pump back LB zone coverages.  Dixon lacks the experience to read defenses and look off the DBs.  The only thing I can see as a plus for Pittsburgh is Mendenhall.  But I do agree this will be a close game.  It's going to be under 8 points, so yes, I would take the Steeler in a straight bet.

34 seems a little low for the total especially with a field of players that can score both on offense and defense....I was going to stay away from this game but decided to touch the total...

I like the Ravens at home to do what they always do to green qbs on the road....
