As much as Balt is trying to solidify a AFCN dominance, the Steelers are trying to maintain a breathing presence and with Cinn not being able to seriously take a next step forward, shown by their play and losses to Miami and Clev, this is a good week for the Terrible Towels to show life even if unsustainable through actuall goodplay but by what will be given by one named Flacco and his inability to dominate weekly.

No Mendenhall or Redman for the Steelers. Also Big Ben sprained his ankle in practice today ( it's not that bad and he will play). Pittsburgh didn't impress me much when they played my Eagles a few weeks ago. I can actually see the Steelers missing the playoffs this year.

I feel a bit of deja vu with this match up. Is it me, or is Ben Rothelsberger always have some type of ankle or foot injury. Troy Polamalu is battling some type of injury. And of course, Mendenhall is out as well. I think its time to ask ourselves...are the Steelers getting old?? Why can't these guys ever stay healthy??
Anyway, the Bengals finally have a chance to stand up to the bully of the afc north. The Steelers have used the bengals as a practical doormat for the past 2 years as they have won their last 4 games against them by an average of 14 points.
Well, as I mentioned before, this Steelers team doesn't quite feel like the Steeler teams of old and they are far from full strength. The Bengals at 3-3 have the opportunity to deal a crushing blow to the Steelers as a loss would put the Steelers at the bottom of the pack in the north at 2-4.
Oddsmakers have made the Steelers a small favorite based on public perception, previous success versus the Bengals, and more importantly, the Steelers are in a "must-win" situation. Will the Steelers get their first road win on sunday?
I dont think so. This Steelers team has already lost on the road to the Titans and Raiders, and I think the Bengals are a higher caliber opponent than both those teams (they did make the playoffs last year). So the real question we need to ask ourselves is....why are the steelers laying points here???
I am not a big believer in the Bengals defense, but I just dont think the Steelers have the ground game to exploit them this time around. I think an immobile Rothelsberger will be a human pinada for this Bengals D line who actually rank 2nd in the league in sacks.
I think Dalton playing at home will put up points, and the Bengals find a way to get the W. This a line that is clearly the wrong chalk. Bengals should be laying 2 here.

Pittsburgh WILL NOT make the playoffs this year. You read it here first. This is by far the worst team they've had in a dozen years. No pass rush, weak rushing attack, and a hobbling QB who has clearly been showing his age.
Bengals get sweet revenge.

With the Steelers missing 3 starting Off. Linemen and Ben's got his ankle all banged up along with injuries to the two starting runningbacks.....I just see this as a bad science experiment
The Bengals already have 20 sacks and 26 passes defended...
If the steelers had a running game to fall back on they would be better off.
So Doug Legursky gets his first start at center of the year in a loud hostile enviroment....Left Tackle is gone for the year and Ben gets to run around against probably one of the best DL's in the league...
Disaster......
Bengals 31, Steelers 17

Rustyburger is simply the better QB here. Sute Pitt has injuries and the ats on tthe road is shitty but,i think the Oline will find a way to give Ben time to throw.
pts are resonable for a cover here.

I always appreciate the opportunity to read your post…you lay out your thoughts well and they typical are very concise; however I completely disagree with your analysis in this spot.As an earlier poster stated Pittsburgh hasn’t covered on the road all year long... In addition, they are coming off a loss to an AFC bottom feeder, Mendenhall, Polamalu and Redman are out, Roethlisberger, Pouncey and Woodley are “gimpy” yet the Wise Men in Vegas are giving Cincinnati points in there backyard… Come on now…
There is no doubt about it, Cincinnati has a talented squad; but they are notorious for NOT being able to close opponents out and I lay the blame squarely on their head coach who I have NEVER been impressed with (I always want to support the brothers but his record under the bright lights SUCKS).With that said, put me down for Pittsburgh minus the miniscule chalk in BIG Ben’s old stomping grounds for a Dime Alex Trebek please. Thanks!
I think the wise men are giving the bengals points because they know the public will be all over the steelers in this situation.
I agree that the steelers def have the edge in the coaching department. I haven't forgotten Marvin Lewis's miscue against Miami in their last home game. There was about 3 and a half minutes left in the game and they were down by 4. They were in a 4th and 5 situation on the Miami 35 and they decided to kick a fg (which they ended up missing). It was one of the more guttless coaching decisions I've seen in recent memory.
That being said, the coaches won't be suiting up on Sunday night, although I have a feeling the steelers could actually use mike tomlin's intensity on defense. I agree the steelers are gimpy and that's why I'm rolling the dice with the bengals to put them down. The bengals have been a doormat for too long and I think they ceize the moment on national television and deliver a crushing blow to steelers.

PIT homer here. Tomlin inherited a super bowl caliber team, since then he hsa not drafted well and ignored the O-line, now its time to pay the piper... Bengals win no-play.....

I hope everyone is making some money today. I came threw w the texans today (one of my stronger plays today), and also came a point away in predicting the final of the green bay game (I predicted 31-20).
I'm upset I dropped the ball on Tampa. I didn't think their secondary would get that destroyed. Tampa was up 21-7, but for some reason, they just don't know how to maintain a lead.
Needless to say, I'm sticking with my Cincy pick. For the record, I don't think they're an elite team. I just think the Steelers are in a bad place and won't bounce back till they host Washington next week.
