Why the heck is Dallas underdogs? Am I missing something here...are they desperate for Dallas to finally get a home cover, or do they still have a hard on for Big Ben? I have no clue. This is shady business here.

Because Dallas sucks! What have they done in 16 years? Nothing.
Good teams win games, Great teams cover the spread!

Dallas's defensive is very week to do injuries. Easy to pass on. Big Ben lost last week but had fantastic #'s. Steel D had a rare let down. They'll find plenty of open receivers, but the "D" will let them down in the end. Another high scoring game as Dallas fights off elimination again in a squeaker as usual: D-37 P-35

Dallas is at home. Dallas is awful at home!!! HOWEVER, they are playing a Steelers' team that is a group of walking wounded, and it showed last week when they lost at home to a pretty bad San Diego team! Although, both teams are still in the hunt for playoff spots, I ain't holding my breath here. Dallas 26-24.

Dallas is 0-6 ATS at home. I'll ride that streak without question. Steelers win this one 24-21.
Very true...But Dallas has been an underdog at home only once all season, and that was to the Giants, who were extremely lucky to leave Jerry's house with a win.
I think Pittsburgh might be in trouble this week. I was so disappointed with their effort against the Chargers last week. There should have been no reason for a letdown game at this stage in the season. I don't care who they beat in the previous week! Now that I think about it, the Steelers have been inconsitent all season. Losing to the Browns, Titans, Raiders, Eagles, and now the Chargers. Really Pittsburgh??
At least the Bengals and Ravens played competitively last week from start to finish. Pittsburgh didn't even show up for the first half, and didn't start scoring till the game was all but out of hand. That is just inexcusable given they were hosting a west coast team with a 1:00 start time. I guess the Chargers were just due? Or perhaps the Steelers are just a .500 football team.
Anyway, I was just as surprised as many of my fellow degenerates that they would be laying points at Dallas after that effort.
I think this is a payback game for Dallas. These teams last played in 2008, and the Steelers were lucky to beat Dallas at Heinz Field. The Cowboys were winning the entire game and allowed 17 unanswered points from the Steelers in the final 7 minutes of play. You guys might remember Tony Romo throwing the biggest gift of a pick-6 to Deshea Townsend that gave the Steelers a 7-point lead with about a minute left to play. Christmas came early for the Steelers that year because the Cowboys gave them that game.
Two things I will be monitoring: the status of Dez Bryant and Claiborne. If they play, then I will be taking Dallas. As a Giants fan, I would love to see the Steelers win this one, but I think they just aren't good enough. Especially, with the injury to Ike Taylor. If old man Rivers could pick apart this secondary on the road, then I don't see why Romo couldn't do the same at home.

I know Mendenhall never had a huge impact to the steelers offense most of the season, but for some reason i believe it plays a huge role in this game. Big ben will attempt too much passes on his injured arm, forcing at least 2 turnovers. Dallas finally gets a home cover. There's a first for everything! I'll take dallas.

Sammy, I totally agree about last week. Watching Rivers pick apart our secondary was painful to watch. A lot of those key plays he was targeting a replacement guy whom I hadn't even heard of until that game. I'm certain the Steelers spent a ton if hours in the film room to see what they did wrong. That's probably the confident homer in me, but I think their mistakes against the Chargers are easily correctable. They know they cannot afford another mistake, especially after tonight's win by the Bengals.
Dez Bryant says he's playing, but how effective will he be and will he even last if his finger gets hit? This game means so much for both team, so they are both under a lot of pressure, but I'd say Dallas in under more pressure than the steelers just because it IS Dallas and they are at home where they always seem to play their worst this season.
The Steelers have had some really bad losses, but each time they have bounced back with a good game and win. I hope that happens again. No matter who wins though, this is gonna be a nail biter.

Steeler homer here. PIT classicly plays down to lesser opponents but last week was a new bottom. I blame coach Tomlin as this team loses more vwterans Tomlin cant seem to motivate this team ewek to week. however, I see the steelers get up for this game like they did against the Giants and Ravens....I rarely play PIT but this week they play well enough to win and even though DAL has been money this year for me we all know how they play at home.

IMO, Dallas is in dangerous territory...their emotions have to be running on fumes by now or very close. We all know about the tragic death, then there is the last second emotional win against Cincy last week. Add on that the incredible weekly stress of orchestrating this rag-tag group of unlikely defensive starters. Either they're already burned out now or will be before New Orleans.
As a Cowboys fan there are only two ways this one could go, Dallas could still be riding high on emotion and come out firing, or bottoming out hard and fall flat out of the gates. There should be little middle ground.
More often than not at home, Dallas has a tough time showing up for the opening kickoff. With Pitt coming off an awful showing last week and pressing to get back on track...I'd have to say this will be a fired up Steelers team facing a burning out Cowboys squad.
Not to mention, a finesse type of Dallas offense won't respond well to a large-bodied, highly aggressive Pitt front 7. Unless they can truly exploit the weak corner spot at will, could be big trouble scoring points. Not sure that will happen with the Dez finger concerns and the o-line as flakey as it is. Just because Dez says he's going does not mean he will play without a hitch or trouble holding the ball.
I'm going with the Steelers in this win, not all that close, 27-20

Maybe I should just stay away from this one. I hate both of these teams. Whenever I bet on Pitt, they don't show up. And I agree w Echelon1's point about the emotional roller coaster in big D. Maybe I'll take 4 games and fade the Jets on Monday night.

Dallas - hopefully Dez Bryant just tapes his 2 fingers together, and worthless Doug Free doesn't get called for his 70th False Start / Holding "drive killing" penalties, and starts earning that friggin'
6 year 48 million dollar contract!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
