Pittsburgh will find a way to put points on the board with Big Ben and talent at the receiver position; I agree their defense is still stout and I don't think Jax is going to find it particularly easy to score points against a defense designed to stop the run and funnel the game toward playmaking linebackers. That said, my play is a simple one:
7 PT TEASER: PITT + 12.5 & OVER 31
Any thoughts???

Don't think you will need a teaser for Pitt to cover bro...

Thanks for the feedback W8LIFTER. My only concern is Jax getting any type of substantial lead (6-10 pts.) and Big Ben being put in a position were he has to carry the team - this seems to be the situation in which he is the most prone to making mistakes - and making a critical turnover. I think this game is going to be more high scoring than a lot of people think and will push the posted total of 38; I simply like the cushion of those extra points. Plus, I am a degenerate like most of our constituents here and, after having a winning day, have to make one last play to cap of an already successful day.

Jax D will come out firing. It should take rothlisberger and the O line time to adjust. Forget about the skill players for a second, we have two defenses that can handle their matchups this week. No play on the side because both D's can cause turnovers. Pitt can keep it close...a backdoor cover is probable. 3 and outs aplenty tonight.
Under 19 1st half

Does Big Ben have a pulse? Yes. Did he get drilled by a car or have to go under the knife to have something removed? No. Then.... we know he's going to play b/c there has been nooooooo indication otherwise. If there was even a glimmer or whisper he was going to miss this game, this line would be at LEAST Jax - 8.5 and likely -9.5 or 10 by gametime

Just my $.02 here, but the Steelers have one legitimate option at RB, Mewelde Moore. It is true that they picked up Davenport to back up Moore, but Davenport has been sitting on his couch since he was cut and is not going to be in playing shape. Without much depth at RB you can be sure that the Steelers will rely heavily on the passing game tonight. You can also expect to see a heavy dose of the no-huddle that Big Ben seems to favor. Also, Moore is a much better receiver than either Mendenhall or Parker, so that is further reason to expect the Steelers to air it out tonight. The Jags have not been particularly good at stopping the pass so far this season and I would expect to see some deep passes to Ward with some short passes to Moore and Miller to mix it up. Even with the injuries that the Steelers have sustained, they have been very good at stuffing the run and will force the Jags to throw more than they like. In short, Steelers will make this a closer game than some people expect and may very well upset the Jags in this spot. Good luck.
