I like the real good balanced team over the real good unbalanced team at home on the short week.  They won't be fooled for this Thursday nighter the way they were last year.  Chargers, like my wagering, are streaky. Broncos roll by 13.

I feel like the under is going to hit while obviously the over is a scare. Hoping maybe the line can get pushed to like a 52 spot and I can grab it then. Not feeling comfortable playing ATS atm either but leaning toward Chargers +7.5

Denver has been playing great football no doubt. They are the best team right now thru week 7. They should blow the Chargers out of the water with a 4th quarter rested Manning against banged up Charger's secondary...

 But not so fast! This is a division game. anything goes. winner takes first place of AFC West, along with a psychological victory knowing you beat your rival to get there. 

After last week's loss.. Charger's will be a little more desperate and will fight/ be aggressive. Both teams will be motivated to try outdo one another but there is one player that has always been a thorn for Peyton, and that's Phillip Rivers

But Manning has had more success against the Chargers recently going 4-1 SU against them since joining the Broncos, but only 2-3 ATS

Rivers was 9-3 SU against the Broncos but is now 10-7 SU and 11-4-2 ATS all time, 6 of those wins were in Denver. Rivers was 4-1 ATS and SU against Manning and the Colts. Rivers is 5-5 SU and 7-3 ATS all time head to head against Manning. 

Gotta love the Chargers as road dogs here getting 7.5 points. Im betting on it being either 1, 3, 4, 6 or 7 point margin. But I could be totally wrong and Chargers get blasted by 10 or more... but i like my chances at 7 1/2.

I think Rivers will make one helluva game out of this!! Gimme Chargers +7 1/2 and the OVER

Better look at the injuries first 15-4 SD is a mash unit Rivers can't do this alone with a banged up D just food for thought GL either way

Also gotta take a shot at one of those high ML plays on the board... Will it be Chargers or Redskins for the biggest upset of week 8?

Chargers was +280 but went up to +300 ML and may go up a little bit more? Redskins is at +310..

Small ML play on Chargers.. you just never know.. not many thought the Rams could pull it off or Cowboys week before that

Unlike the Niners with key defensive injuries and an idiot QB,DROP PASSES and Denver pumped to get Manning the record.The Chargers are no strangers to a Manning guided Broncos team.Just like when the Raiders play the Chargers tough,so do Chargers play Denver.Tread carefully, Manning  lovers,short week,record celebrations,Chargers loss last week and are ready to get back on the field, and will be leaving it ALL on the field.There will be no blow out,the Chargers have a legitimate QB,not a pumped public relations kind of QB,not ready for primetime kind of QB,read his own press clippings kindof QB and watch his commercial on tv kind of QB. Kapp the QB is starting look like Mark Sanchez and bitten by the same bug, over top publicity CAREFUL BOYS!!!

update on the Chargers injuries,check some ?? injuries,the Chargers are little ncked up,but so is Denver.also,short week for both teams,so its a wash on the injuries.

Good teams overcome their injuries. Injuries are a bit overrated to me unless it's the QB1 going down or an important player that gets injured during Thursday ppractice or something...which abruptly changes their gameplan.

Next man up! Chargers lost two RBs already and Oliver has filled in nicely. Donald Brown is also capable RB. Te'o would have made this defense better than it is now which is still pretty darn good had he not got hurt.

The Chargers still have Luiget, Dwight Freeny, Eric Weddle on the defense.. don't forget that. Brandon Flowers possibly won't play but Verret might which would help.

CHARGERS ALL DAY BABY!! THE REASON WHY IS DENVER IS IN A BAD SPOT BEING THAT MANNING HAS THE TOUCHDOWN RECORD AND PLUS NEW ENGLAND IS THERE NEXT GAME WHICH IS ON THE ROAD. ALSO CHARGERS ALWAYS PLAYS DENVER TOUGH.

As much as I love my team, I'd rather buy that hook down to an even -7 just in case of a push.  But lets look at the injuries because it DOES make a difference in any game no matter divisional, small, or big.

Clearly we had all of our stars off defense in the SB and we saw the end result of that.  No way to be kept in the game thus forcing the damn coach to be one minded and thus getting smashed.  

Look again to Sunday.  49ers decimated on defense and even some offense and it looks kinda like the Superbowl repeat but opposite and with the 49ers instead of the Shecocks.

SD is kinda banged up on defense right now and possibly not having Flowers is gonna make a difference.  You have 4 offensive threats to deal with and they're not equipped enough right now to put enough pressure on the secondary.  That means the defensive line is gonna have to work like a bat out of hell to get to Manning and you know that will put man coverage on at least a couple of the receivers/TE's.  

Also this is a MUCH better defense than last year and almost fully healthy right now with the exception of Trevathan.  They will get to Rivers and sack him at least a few times Thursday night.  With no real run game left due to injuries, they'll have to resort to the air.  That means Rivers needs to hold onto the ball just a little longer than usual and sacks will be piling up as he searches for open receivers.  

My Broncos fan heart says this will be at least a 10+ point win but my betting mind tells me this may come down to 7 points.  

Manning will not overlook this game and he know's what is as stake here.  Home field advantage during the playoffs is a MUST for us to make it back to the Superbowl because hell no do we wanna play in Indy or NE.  Luckily we don't have the problem of being undefeated looming over our head putting on more pressure than needed so that's off the shoulders already and is now an advantage for us.

GO BRONCOS!!!

No they have not the only person missing against Seatle was Mathews. Verrett & Flowers were both healthy & I believe they still had Hardwick.

There might be some Charger fans that are trying to convince themselves the Chargers will even cover let alone win. Verret & Flowers will most likely both be out & if Verrett does play, how healthy will he be? Marshall was burned all game long on Sunday. 

Unlike the Chargers who have faced mediocre teams, the Broncos have faced pretty damn good teams. And still have the 3rd best passing game in the league. Derek Carr lit up the Chargers secondary a couple Sundays ago and I'm suppose to believe they can contain Welker, Thomas, Thomas, Sanders, & Hillman???

Broncos all the way in a blowout. Manning might be sitting by the 4th quarter

BTW SD beat Denver last year by controlling the ball. Denver's D is much improved & has one of the best running defenses that just stopped Gore & Hyde. Chargers will score but they wont score at the pace of the Broncos.

Injury update on  Chargers:Flowers out,Varrett,prob,Swright cb prob.The chargers to date, looking better with exception at R/B,but the Chargers only use run to keep teams honest,with Rivers quick release they use the passing game as a running game, ,just as they have been doing for the last couple years.Watch out for R/B oliver for the chargers.

Yeah they faced them at home in that thin a-s air.They lost to Seattle on the road and beat the happless Jets.As far as the Raiders,they have always played SD tough,its a rivary game and they are in the same conference,and thats why SD have also played Denver tough.See, Las Vegas always hope that people react to the last game played,the 42-10 win over a REAL banged uo niners team.Kap is NOT Philip Rivers,Rivers is an elite QB with just as many weapons on offense as Denver.A tight end that will give Denver fits and great outside recievers.They don't need a running game with Rivers and since Varrett  and Wright will play at the cb position,they will hold thier own and as long as its 7.5.As a investor,I would take Denver at 7 or 6.5,but not 7.5.This will not be a blow out man,dont play into that Las Vegas trap,and besides its a short week,Chargers need a win more than Denver, and whos next for Denver?New England in Foxbourrough on national tv. Don't be a fan,be a player.I dont care whos a head,you just got to beat the spread.

you sound like a charger fan bro. Manning won't let Denver look ahead to NE, not when it is about winning the division first, and not when SD beat them in Denver last year. The chargers dont have any many weapons as Denver that's just asinine to say. And they do need a running game to keep Manning off the field. Denver will win this game by double digits dont let the history of the two teams blind you from the truth. BTW there has been no word on Verrett but from what I'm hearing it is not looking good that he plays.

and if I was playing into Vegas trap I would be taking SD all day, but its simple the Chargers are facing good teams now, and are being exposed.
