i think momentum has shifted for these 2 squads in different directions and you may finally see Chargers go on a winning streak while the Texans slowly go back to the drawing board to see what type of players to go after on defense for next season because after their performance vs. the Colts, it was clear that they're still an overestimated team that plays .500 ball.
After looking at the rest of their schedule, i predict that they lose the majority of their remaining games which for the most part are against quality opponents. Meanwhile, the Chargers appear to be on an upswing after finally getting a solid victory and having the rest of their schedule outside of @Colts being winnable games. Also: it's weird but Chargers seem to own the AFC South after already crushing the Jaguars and beating the Titans. I wouldn't be surprised if they beat the Colts in a few weeks.

Charges have one of the most potent offenses in the league - led by Rivers who, despite a few hiccups this year, is one of the best. Yes, this team's road record is garbage, and yes, they've been making some terrible mistakes. They've lost games by mistakes - not because they suck as football. You take the mistakes out of the game, and they have a seriously dominant offense. There are some key injuries but, just like Manning did on Monday, Rivers clearly proved he can do against the Titans. The Chargers D has also improved a lot this year. The numbers might not look so charming, but if you add up all the offensive mistakes and turnovers in their first handful of games, the D was stuck on the field way too long.
I was embarrassed to have money on the Texans to cover against the Colts on Monday. That was a pathetic display of football on both sides of the ball. Schaub looked like it was his debut as a quarterback. The play calling was ridiculous. Foster is still great but doesn't get the ball nearly as many times as he should. The defense was a complete joke - sort of expected that but this was just terrible to watch. They looked like a bunch of kids running around the field with no direction at all.
Monday night was the Texans superbowl - no game means more to them.
After the Chargers big home win against the Titans, hopefully they have the spirits to continue to dominate - mistake-free.
3 points is a gift based on the publics perception of the road Chargers.

I agree. Surprisingly, SD is only 2 games back of KC in the divisional win column. They still have alot to play for and they should be able to continue their momentum against a weak pass D. This is a team that could easily be 5-3 right now. Good luck.

Obviously bro you have not watched enough of the NFL very much this year especially the Chargers on the road 0-4. . . I will simply raise the stakes with you on this game just for the principle of it. I won't even dedicate this winner in your name. BOL
Houston Texans +3 VERY LARGE

Hey W8, I'm kind of partial to Texas. I call many Texans my friend, including you. However, lately I'm on fire with the NFL. After seeing the severly banged up Colts dismantle this team, I have some serious reservations. I know I'm not going to change your mind. Take my advice- bet lightly on this game! As for me, I'm already dedicating this game in your honor and taking:

S.D. lost @ KC, Sea, STL,and Oak. That's every away game to "inferior" teams. Can't take them until they win one on the road.
Taking the home dog Hou +3 GL
What a lousy analysis and needless post. Please stay off this site if that's how you're gonna drop knowledge because i've seen losers like you come and thankfully leave this site for good once they realize they don't have a clue.
Inferior teams? WTF are u talking about? Especially during a year where there really isnt a bunch of awesome teams and nearly every team stands a chance at this point of the season. You must be a young kid or an old moron.
KC has never been an easy place to play and btw- Chiefs are in a position to win their division.
Rams have a young stud at QB along with a well-coached / talented defense and also are in position to win their division.
Seattle is notoriously tough place to play and that's all i have to say.
Oakland is much improved from last year and far from the inferior squad they were last year. It was also a huge revenge game for Oakland as it was for Kansas City.
So how do you easily say San Diego lost on the road to inferior competition? Because you don't do your homework and you simply guzzle beers and watch highlights.
Stay off this site. Please.

This line is messed. Why the hell would HOUIE be dogs vs a Cha-Gahz team that doesn't travel very well ??
Seems like the books are flat out begging us to take the points. Think I will stay away and see what happens from afar. I do really like HOU but this line is fishier than Rosanne Barr's bird

charges with worst coach in the league (childress doesnt count dont consider him a coach)
chargers lost to oakland and stlouis, enuff said. No one can convince me those teams are very more than the shit on my toilet paper, period.
dreadful field position and special teams for SD
much better record getting pts at home
why not people dumb enough to make same mistakes again,
and judging from the action, right on par. Please people, don't give your hard-earned cash on a team that hasnt come close to winning on the road against shitty opponents. Texans are not hall-of-fame material, but this game means just as much to them if not more (they are above 500 much closer to a wild-card than sd)

San Diego all day here. Reverse line movement (+1.5 to +3) AND Gates most likely won't play. I think this game comes down to the wire, but Rivers will find a way to get it done. This is the time of year that San Diego turns it up a bit and starts to dominate. Andre Johnson isn't 100% as well so Foster will be the focus. Now that Merriman isn't an issue the D can focus.

Chargers are predictable every year and now it is their time to win. My only concern is who is Rivers going to throw to? Gates is really hurting and Naanee and Floyd are out. That leaves Crayton and ?
I may just go over, even though it is 49.5. Or maybe it will come down to SD -2.5.

SD is the "unluckiest" team in the NFL. They are near the bottom of the league in TO margin #30 (-8)
They are the poster child of why it is hard to win on NFL gms. "Unanticipated events can dramatically alter the outcome of the game."
But...best passing Off playing the worst Passing Def
Plus last gm where IND blueprinted for SD how to attack the HOU def
Taking SD -3
(SD still owes me money from NE gm where they literally left a LIVE ball on the field and walked away... not once but 2wice, talk about unanticipated events. Payup Norv! You emotionless Westworld robot face!)
(What kind of name is Norv? I never met anyone named Norv. I think it means north in French. Are his brothers named east and west?)
