The funny thing is people are over thinking this. But the line is correct. The niners are on the road. The Refs have been for the home team every game and bad with calls. So factor in that and you have your answer. The niners will blow them out. I'm a Vikings Fan but Harbaugh wants to put up points. He is trying to run the table this year and snatch a superbowl. Don't over think this one. Niners are the Better team. They will cover by 10 points. Ponder doesn't have the right coach or schemes to throw off the niners. Vikings just lost to the colts. Nuff Said.. NINERS-7

I know niners will win, but i dont think itll be a blowout, it will be a close game, San Francisco team is not built for blowouts, they minimize mistakes and turnovers on offense by playing it safe, creating run plays, and short throws, and they rely on defense.  Alex smith doesnt do shootouts, hes not the type to throw deep bombs, and 49niners on the road.  They'll play it safe, strong and solid! 

By game time VIKINGS +7

SF has only played in Minn 4 times since 94, but lost all 4 games. Once as a 6.5 fav -

I love reading all these "experts" saying it's a trap game. That's like saying the NFL is fixed, well if you believe that, put everything you have on the Vikings and gl to you. The only reason the line isn't bigger is because Vikings at home and 49ers haven't won there since 1992? I believe. Well the 49ers are aware of this streak and it it's coming to an end Sunday. Peterson will get stuffed and when that happens, Vikings won't be able to put points on the board. 49ers should have no problem leisurely moving the ball down field, that being said they might be content to settle for a lot of FG's. 49ers will have a "letdown" and only win by 13.

Matchup-wise, this has the look of a difficult game for Minnesota. After all, the nasty Niner defense usually stuffs the run, and it made things very difficult passing-wise two weeks ago for 2011 MVP Aaron Rodgers. Thus, things don’t bode well for the Vikes’ duo of RB Adrian Peterson & Christian Ponder. Jim Harbaugh’s team now laying some substantial lumber vs. lower-echelon foes. But the Vikes’ rebuilding OL and still-shaky secondary will give the visitor plenty of opportunities. Randy Moss back in the Twin Cities; Minny no covers last four at home.

I think most people backing the Vikings agree that the Niners are the superior team.  On paper they should beat this team by two td's.  

A wise sports bettor I knew once told me " if it seems too easy. . . It is,  if it makes your little asshole pucker to make a play it's probably the RIGHT play".  
 
I think this applies here because it makes me really uncomfortable to take the Vikings knowing the stats and previous history.  Seriously!  Why are books moving this line below the touchdown number??

Why on earth has this line moved from 7 down to 6.5 at many of the sharp books and smaller Vegas shops?  There is a reason that 90% of people are dumping money on this "lock" and the line is moving the other direction . . .

I have heard people say that people are "over" thinking this line.  Really??  Are you sure some of you aren't "under" thinking your " lock"?

Niners up by 6 late in the game after being in a low-scoring dogfight w/ Minny the entire afternoon. They kick a FG to go up by 9 w/ 2 minutes left and are covering the spread for the first time all day.  Minny gets the ball back and marches down the field with Ponder looking like the second coming of Fran Tarkenton and they score a "meaningless" TD with 20 seconds left in the game to lose something like19-17. Niner backers flock to Covers in droves to whine about the "fix" or "moose" even though their team was only covering for a minute and a half the entire game. Just watch ... it's coming.

Vikings because this is one of 5 spreads I don't understand...  It's a trap bet for SF.  They should be laying 8 - and are under 7.  I smell rat.  If I had gonads I'd take Minnesota +250 on the money line.  Reverse Logic dictates a Vikings cover.  Good luck ladies
