I'm sure that the Niners will be a small favorite in this game especially after the thumping that they gave to "Da Bears" on MNF in week 11.
I think that the New Orleans comeback carriage turns back into a pumpkin in week 12.
The Forty Niners now have a genuine QB controversy with Keapernick showing that he has what it takes to lead the Niners. It helps that he has a great O-Line in front of him in SF... and a great running game... and a great TE... and an abundance of speedy WR's to choose from.
No matter who in under center for SF, I believe they will get the job done. Personally, I would like to see Kaepernick get this start and for SF to hold off on Smith for at least another week if they plan on giving him the job back. Niners HC John Harbaugh has been quoted as saying that the Niners will go with the "hot hand"... and in my opinion that would be Kaepernick who led the Niners to a 2nd half comeback to tie the Rams and led the Niners destruction of the Bears #1 ranked defense... all while Smith sat out with his bell ringing.
The Saints will keep this game interesting with thier high octane offense but in the end the Niners will emerge with the win and cover (if at -5 or less).
In my opinion Jimmy Graham is NOT at 100%. I see him gimping still but he is a gamer. Also Sproles has yet to return however the Saints have been doing well by committe. They will need all hands on deck to challenge the Niners here but whatever they try will fall short. I expect some trick plays by the Saints to try and fool the Niners. Also the Saints will have to gameplan to try and slow down the Niners pass rush which will have its ears pinned back to attack Drew Brees.
I'm not sure what the O/U will be for this game but I'm going to make a final score guesstimate of...
...49ERS-30 New Orleans-24

At first glance, this line looks like the wrong chalk and that New Orleans should be laying 2.5. Especially, because their at home and San Fran is coming off a Monday Night game (shorter work week). I think the Bay area QB controversey that is developing could also be a disatraction for this team.
But with all that being said, I just have too much respect for both of these teams to take a side. The 49ers definitely have the medicine for the high flying Saints. A solid running game (the best in the league), and a very stout defense. They can control the clock and keep Brees off the field.
I love Colin Kaepernick just as much as the next guy, but he's still a young quarterback that will be playing in a very hostile environment. And I imagine Drew Brees isn't going to allow himself to be outplayed in the SuperDome. Lets also remember that Drew Brees threw for over 400 yards on this unit at Candlestick in the NFC Championship game. He certainly could go nuts in the comfy confines of the SuperDome.
I can't wait to watch this game, but I think too highly of these teams to take a side.

Saints scaring the hell out of me! 49 'ers on paper are the better team. But the Saints are clicking, especially at homde, with the "big mo". Oh yeah, wasn't it San Fran that knocked them out of the playoffs at Candlestick last year. Really hard to say- good game to watch- the bankroll stays in my pocket-
NO PLAY !

Diehard niners fan here and I've got the saints winning this one. Too many variables in their favor right now. If they meet again in the playoffs, I think the niners take them down again, but at this point in the season this one belongs to the saints.

Lol Vue, you're hilarious...why not just flip a coin. Heads we will bet on SF, and tails you can take the Saints. Trust me, it will win. Then not only can the "bankroll" fatten up your pockets, but also the profits from this bet will make you look like Elvis on steroids...once you load dem pockets up with this cash boy. Best of luck and let me know which side the coin lands on...

Who here would have the balls to put their only house down on a bet by flipping a coin? Not many, but if you knew the truth, you are more likely to win by flipping a coin than you are by just picking a side. And so many people risk everything they have on a side they think is solid, yet nobody would dare flip a coin? Lol humans are so flawed.

Kaepernick is starting and I'm lookin at this like jumpin out of an airplane. The first time you're scared but don't hesitate. The second time you know what's comin and that's when you're really scared.
Last game for him was at home, this is on the road and no doubt he will have the jitters. Facing the 27th ranked defense tho he should relax fairly quickly?
And I don't know why folks are raving about the Saints winning their last 3/games. Only one team had a winning record, Falcons. In fact, Falcons are the only team besides the Bucs that the Saints have beaten all season that has a winning record right now. And why the hell the Falcons couldn't score from the Saints 1 in the last 2/mins just blows me away. It's like they never heard of a Bootleg? It's all about geometry. Goin up the gutt, or over center is too crowded, but utilizing your angle to the right with a Bootleg closes that 1yd pretty damned fast ... jmo
