SF +1: the re-focused Niners are now playing the spread offense and have tossed the conservative "run-only" approach. The result is playing into the strength of Alex Smith and emphasizing the receiver weapons of Crabtree, Davis and Morgan. The Seahawks are already looking to next year. Score: Forty-niners 28-Seahawks 18 (3 units).

Lets not forget the drubbing that Franky Gore and company gave the Hawks earlier in the year at Candlestick. Gore had two 80 year td runs. San F is the stronger and more determined group. I obviously won't be shock if the Hawks win, they always play tough at home. I just think San Fran who lost a 3 tough games to the Texans, Colts and Tenneesse is a dangerous sneaky team. The Hawka beat the Lions 32 to 30 in a thriller and lost to the Bears in Seattle. Ya, the Lions and Bears! I just can't buy the Seahawks. I like San Frans defense, very athletic and they have something to prove. San Fran gets Arizona at home next week, then Philly, then the Lions and Rams. They have 9-7 written all over them. San Fran gets after Matt Hassleback and runs the football here. Forsett looks ok for the Hawks, but this San Frans 3-4 front 7 does it job. Look for San Fran to be that wildcard bubble team to keep your eye on. They need this game. San Fran 26 Hawks 17.

SEA's record against the NFC West is 2-3. Both victories were against STL.
SFO's record against the NFC West is 3-0. One of those three victories was against STL (0-35).
This game, as is the case w/ many games being played this time of year, has playoff implications. And being a game between division rivals . . . doubly so.
Last week SFO held their opposition to 3 points. Enough though it was Jacksonville, that was an impressive game for the Niners' 'D'. Playing in Candlestick might not be as challenging as playing in Seattle (come this time of year). But it ain't as cushy as playing in Hawaii either.
