I read all y'all prediction and agree with y'all about Seattle. they have the edge in every aspect of the game but don't you guys think ATL record speak for itself. ATL lost their last game of the season for reason. I think they prepared for seatle to come in and beat them down like a drum then send back to Seatle suicide city.. 31 to 24 ATL
Falcons have 1 more win than Seattle........
Faaakin woopty doo...don't put too much stock into that

here's one for all you guys in that +65% of bettors lining up to on ATL.... this is only 5th time out of the last 48 playoff games where the #1 seed have opened as a FG favorite or less
Every time the top seed has been favored by a field goal or less, they’ve lost the game outright.
2011 ATL -1 vs GB Lost 48-21
2009 TEN -3 vs BAL Lost 13-10
1998 KC PK vs DEN Lost 14-10
1993 PITT -1 vs BUF Lost 24-3
up next......
2013 ATL -2.5 vs SEA .....???

I really like Atlanta and that is my strongest play this week. I think everyone has been caught up in the Ray Lewis upcoming retirement. A lot of people have completely forgotten that Tony Gonzalez is also retiring. He is a first ballot hall of famer in my opinion, and I think the Falcons will have him in mind and not get bounced out in their first game of the postseason. The Falcons also have added motivation with their reputation being choke artists in the playoffs.
I know the match up on paper looks good for Seattle, but I don't think they will win in the Georgia Dome. If this game were in Seattle, I would really like their chances. Flying across the country for the third time in 3 weeks can be an enduring experience for any team. And I think the situational angles really favor Atlanta. Russell Wilson is a very composed young man, but I don't like backing rookies on the road in a loud dome. Especially with Matt Ryan's reputation on his home turf. I believe the last time the Seahawks played in a dome was against Detroit and they lost that game by 4 points. I can see that happening again thie weekend. Atlanta can be a dangerous team when motivated. Just ask the Giants.
Good luck my fellow degenerates
Do you realize how dumb this sounds?

True, Atlanta now 4-1 at home last 5 home games. But against who? Tampa Bay, New York, Dallas, New Orleans and Arizona! Atlanta now faces Seattle rookie superstar QB Russell Wilson (3305 YDs, 556 rushing yards and 27 TDs). Highly mobile QB Wilson and RB Lynch (1590 YR) virtually impossible to stop! And Seattle no lowly 5-11 Arizona Cardinals!
Seattle's spectacular record of 6-0 straight up and 5-1 vs. Vegas spread last 6 games, also leads the entire nation on defense...only allowing 15.3 points per game! Seahawks have now become one of the NFL super powers!
Atlanta 0-4 vs. spread their last 4 playoff games!
Seattle 4-0 last 4 playoff games as underdogs!
Weekend 4-Team "Straight Up" Power Plays:
Denver - 9 over Baltimore Small Play
Green Bay + 3 over San Francisco (buy half a point) Large Play

Seattle + 3 over Atlanta (buy half a point) 5 Times Large Play
New England - 9 over Houston Medium Play

This is a fairly easy game to cap, you have a falcon vs. a seahawk. The falcon is way more bad behind a bird than the seahawk. If I was a bird I would rather be a falcon so I got to roll with the dirty. Other than that, its time for Russell to get exposed, hes a gimmick QB and its times like this gimmick QBs get exposed, nobody except the Pacific Northwest is going to care if the niners have to play the seahawks (dull) next week so falcons gotta win one for the commish. Under also look nice, I don't foresee the Seahawks putting up too many points. End of the day....im going to take the premier QB with the premier options over the gimmick QB and Golden Taint every time.

People are forgetting that if rg3 didn't reinjure that knee last week that seattle loses that game out right. It's not hard to look "dominant" on defense when the other team is running a read option with one or two wr patterns and the qb is no threat to run at all, in fact it's very easy to look "dominant". I know seattle has been dominant for weeks now, and if they were at home i would friggin pound this game with a vigor regardless of the spread. But i'm telling you guys the sharp money absolutely pounded atlanta in this game when they released the -1. For me it's a pass.
All due respect degenerate, what I saw in that game was that once Seattle absorbed the early 2 touchdown run by the Skins, they established superior line play on both sides of the ball and dominated the final 3 quarters of the game.
I don't disagree that RG III was unhealthy and that it impacted the game. Because it did. But the Seahawks had just as much fun sacking the dude from Michigan State as they did RG III.

Last time I checked, Matt Ryan ain't playing on no gimpy leg.......
They showed the stats last game - - last road playoff victory for the Sea-Turkeys - - and yes, I'm saying Turkeys now - - was 1983...... When's the last time they won 2 road playoff games in a row??????????Never?!?!?
Where's W8's bravado when I need it?
You know what F*** it...........
FALCONS
LARGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EXTRA LARGE!!!!!!!!!!!
WITH WHIP CREAM AND SLIVERED ALMONDS...........
No disrespect Quad, you're a veteran poster here, but your reaction to this line is exactly the one the bookies are looking for.
Why the hell did Atlanta open as only a one point fav?
At home. With the best record in the NFC and all those weapons at their disposal?

Dome game plays to the Falcons strength.... they offense is fast paced while Seattle is more of a grind it out team.
ATL's D-block gets no love. Their defense is great even with Samuel banged up. Their linebackers are tops in the league and they are stingy against the run.
If ATL gets up early it will be ugly.
I have superbowl futures on Seattle, but I can't see them getting passed a rested ATL on the road, 2nd cross country travel, vs. a 2nd tier qb when he doesn't lose at home, with 2 ridiculous wideouts, and 1 of the best TE's of all time in his last stand.
I may be nieve but I think they can contain Lynch.
ATL -1
I'm also looking into an alt line for ATL.... no reason why they can't put up 30+ at home. Seattle better come out firing on all cylinders, if they start flat like last week they will never catch-up.
GL TO ALL!
The Atlanta run defense was actually 29th in yards allowed per carry this season (4.8).
Who do they get today?
Marshawn Lynch.
That run defense also gave up 394 rushing yards in two games against Cam Newton's read option offense and another 129 to the Redskins.
Who do they get today?
Russell Wilson.
The Seattle defense was 1st in the league in points allowed, has given up 17 or fewer in it's last 3 road wins, and they actually do have the kind of secondary (size) that can handle the Falcon wideouts (although Tony G is a problem for anyone). In my opinion, 30 + points is far from a lock.
All of the wildcard teams that have run to the Superbowl in recent years have overcome all of the above problems you listed and travel didn't seem to be an issue for Seattle last weekend, so I wouldn't be so quick to lose excitement for your futures wager partner.
I happen to think you were onto something when you laid it down.
One could argue that Matt Ryan is due to overcome his tendencies in this situation, as are the Falcons ... but are they really?
Isn't Tony Romo ready? Every single time?
Weren't Marv Levy's Buffalo Bills?
How bout Andy Reid's Eagles .... ?
If the Falcons were hosting the Redskins, or Tampa Bay, I'd feel a lot better about their chances, but they're up against a Seattle team that's beating people up in all three phases of the game.

Tony
Gonzales retiring has nothing to do with the price of tea in China; however I do concur with your
analysis…I think it was stupid as hxll
for the Seahawks to fly back to Seattle. They should have expected to win in Washington and already had their
hotel rooms booked in the ATL so they could have flown
straight in…Meanwhile, the Falcons who
just so happen to be cash money in their Dome, have had a week to heal up Roddy
White, Julio Jones, Asante T. Samuel and the rest of the walking wounded…Not to mention, give the coaching staff the
opportunity to layout a game plan for their visitors uninterrupted with logistics...
With
all that said, and in no small part to the fact the line has moved from one to a field goal, makes me think the home team gets the “W” so………………….Put me down for Atlanta minus the chalk for a

Is someone upset that their Broncos just choked? I don't think it sounds dumb at all. Tony Gonzalez has been playing in the league since 1997. I know you're a little slow so i'll add that for you; thats a 16-year career. He has yet to win a post-season game in that very long career. Dont think for a second that they want to send this guy off with a winless career in the post-season. Matt Ryan is also 0-3 in the post-season, but I think it's important to note that the last 3 teams they lost to (packers, Giants, and Cardinals) went on to the super bowl each year.
Atlanta knows how they are being perceived in the media: as flat out choke artists!! So why is it dumb to think their reputation as choke artists cant be a motivation? As i write this, they are mentioning the Falcons post-season struggles on ESPN Countdown. I think this is the year they turn it around and get that first W.
Maybe I'm wrong and Seattle gets their first win in a dome all season. They are a great team, but we all know the best team doesnt always win. Just look at the broncos yesterday.

I see ATL winning handily. They are just too good at home. Public will be behind SEA due to recent performance and if they win, it won't be a shock. But I like ATL coming off the bye here, playing at home, and against a SEA squad that IMO shouldn't even be in the playoffs this year. Matty Ice will have a big chip on his shoulder. I predict a performance like that of Steve Young in SB XXIX

Seattle is on a rolll but they are still young, untested in the playoffs. Very lucky this year with GB game and RG3 getting hurt. TRUST ME, HEALTHY RG3 SEATTLE GETS ROLLED LAST WEEK!
All year long Atlanta and Matty Ice been told they can't win when it matters, they can't win a playoff game, they are only a regular season team. Blah, blah, blah... you don't think that garbage gets old and annoying?? Tony G. has NEVER WON A PLAYOFF GAME!
ATLANTA IS GOING TO BLOW UP TODAY!!! FALCONS LARGE

Would think the travel finally catches up to Seattle. I agree they should have stayed in the East. Has anyone seen any stories why they chose to fly home?
Falcons haven't performed that well against Cam Newton, so Wilson will pose a problem for him, in addition, they have a powerhouse running back, but worst of all, Coach Smith isn't that good in my opinion--too conservative. As for Pete Carrol, I still don't understand why he was passing the ball in the closing moments of the Redskins game.
Seattle signed a new kicker also. How will that affect the team.

Wow...only sensible post I've read here.
Atlanta Money Line is such a good bet this week, it's no wonder they had to hire a bunch of goons to come on here and promote Seattle. Seattle stands little chance to win this game and that should be OBVIOUS
